This buffet used to be really good - presently, if you value your life, please don't eat here. The cocktail shrimp were bad - almost every dish on the buffet was tasteless and loaded with MSG. I was not able to eat here because of that - my daughter with disabilities (whose birthday brought us here?) Got up to go to the bathroom - (which were disgusting - water all over the sink, toilet paper all over the floor no soap water doesn't run, etc. ) when she returned her plate was gone. The bill was $40 - for a meal I couldn't eat, and they took away from her. This did not include tip. There's other Chinese restaurants in the area. Save your money and save your health- and go elsewhere. read more

This place is pretty great especially with my family. The staff were nice and had a smile on their faces. They also did a great job serving us. My one complaint however is about the food. Some of the food tasted and looked a day old, and the crayfish didn't have a lot of meat on them. The hibachi chef however cooked my food to perfection so props to him. Overall, I would say this place is still worth a try. My experience could always be different from yours. read more

I am a masochist. The crappy buffet was ok when they first opened. Maybe it was the novelty...it certainly wasn't the food. Yet I keep ending up in there. Every time I go I swear I will not return. Here is what it is... a good place to carb up. The faux sushi used to be fair but as of late all the food has this odd antiseptic after taste. They charged me $1 extra per pound because my takeout had "seafood." They open up your container and also charge you extra if you get sushi or hibachi, which is all included in the price of the eat-in buffet. Instead of nickel and dime-ing customers by reopening and scrutinizing their containers, why not just increase your prices to include whatever the regular buffet has. I couldn't believe it! LOVE THIS PLACE!! Affordable and fun, lots to choose from!! Always very clean, and the buffet tables are always full. If you like seafood, they have plenty on the weekends, hence why I don't eat there on the weekends, lol. I'm not a seafood lover what can I tell you... BUT, does not take away from the face that they have a hibachi grill, and fresh sushi, as well as all the yummy choices from the buffet!! The people who work here are very friendly as well!! Every day, time, perspective and personal palette could provide a different rating and review. I rate this eatery based on what kind of eatery it is and not in comparison to say fast food or 5-star. It's lunacy to read reviews that down rate places by comparison. That being said, we arrived for Lunch at 1300hrs in order to miss the lunch crowd, but still while it should be busy enough to ensure good turnover on the buffet and thus fresh food. We found the buffet well stocked, the warming lamps all heating, and the food warm and palatable. The sushi is your basic, no-risk rolls. If you know sushi, then you know that this means basic veggie, cooked, fried, and some Tuna components to the rolls. They do make rolls upon request and they have a book by the sushi station that lists the rolls they can make. The rolls were fresh, being steadily made as I devoured what was there. They were well made and tasted just fine. In comparison to other Chinese style buffets that offer sushi rolls, there were more options readily available and I would comparatively say that these would rate a 5 to other similar Buffet's 3 or lower rating. Again, this is not a sushi place and these are basic rolls. The rest of the cuisine was delicious and I would say as good as the best I've ever visited fir a buffet and far better than most. The seafood was all quite excellent. The fried chicken wings were good once past the batter. Even when fresh, the batter on fried chicken tends to get dry and hard on chicken that's under heating lamps that's either white meat or small like wings. A light stream bath would rectify this issue. However, the meat inside was perfectly delicious, and if you grab fresh wings, then you'll find the coating crispy and delicious too. I specifically make this comment because there are a lot of folks out there with dentures, etc who struggle with hard or crunchy foods, so they'd love to know to remove the skin first. The desserts are standard buffet but the ice cream comes in individual serve cups and MANY flavors, mostly fruity sherberts, of which my favorite was the Lemon. The options seemed to make all the customers very happy and that freezer was always a busy spot! I think the lunch price (see posted picture labeled 31MAR2016) is an outstanding value! The service was steady and good. Employees were constantly cleaning the tables and buffet. I found no reason to give this buffet style restaurant anything less than 5-stars at this time. read more

They haven't changed since my first review. Still a very nice selection, still good food but not quite 4-star quality. They keep everything well-stocked and fresh. They added fresh-baked rolls, but no butter. Sorry, but who eats dry bread? I always get the "crab" wontons, the honey chicken, and the fried chicken. The desserts are pretty bad, but that's pretty standard for buffets. There's something here for every taste, so it's a good place to bring a crowd. read more

Well folks as does happen,this place has hit rock bottom. They have become lumped into the thousands of chain buffet that offer as much American food as chinese food. The Sushi, oh it's just looking like sushi. The tuna and salmon has been replaced by fillers like eggs,cream cheese,crab with a K,and strips of veggies. The price however continues to rise, a child under 9 is north of 8 bucks, 12 years olds dine for 10.99!! They still have Mongolian, but what was once a really tasty and reasonable place,in four short years has become just another quasi-oriental greasy overpriced dump!! read more

I give this restaurant a 5 star because I left my phone behind after dining there. Because I live 3 hours away, the manager mailed my phone to me at no charge. You can't get better service than that!!! The food tasted good and the waitresses were quick to remove used plates. This place is nice to have around. The food is your standard Chinese fare, with a sushi bar and hibachi grill thrown in. The sushi is decent and the guys who run the hibachi have a good grip on what they are doing. All the food is kept fresh. There is plenty of seating and rarely a wait. We don't have many options on the Eastern Shore, but of the few Chinese restaurants, this one is probably the best. They have had some corrected violations from the local health dept. (the info is available on the Accomack county website) and that always makes me nervous. The food quality seems pretty consistently decent. One time I told an employee about lukewarm food on one of the buffet bars and she jumped to correct the problem. That was encouraging. One thing that really bothers me about this restaurant is that the chairs feel dirty when I grab them to sit down. The items on the table do not feel like they are ever properly washed. (stands listing beverage selections and whatever else is sitting out). Those things make me not want to go back. I probably will though, just because of our limited choices out here in the middle of nowhere. read more

Quiet place with very nice folks. The food was okay, but not great and the selection was not near as good as the price indicated it would be. My low star rating came in mainly because they charged an adult fee for an 11 year old who ate less than one plate. Don't bring your kids and it will be okay. read more

Stopped at the horrible Days Inn next door due to bad storm while traveling. Walked to this Chinese buffet for dinner. My hubs liked 4 or 5 of their Chinese dishes. We both liked their deep fried shrimp (nice size) and sweet and sour bananas. My Lo Mein was flavorless and inedible. The clams and mussels were in a lovely broth but were pretty overcooked and chewy. Their veggie dishes were good! And pasta w/ veggies. And they serve beer and soft drinks. Prices are very reasonable. I wouldn't go there again though. read more
