The noodles were ok, that's where the positive ends. I should've taken a picture of the food in the display and sent it to the health department. It looked as if it had been sitting there for several hours, pretty gross. I wish I would've seen the health report someone else posted before coming here, pretty frightening. Everything in me said don't walk away, run! But another customer walked in after me eager to order a bowl so I figured they must make fresh food once you order. Nope, I was wrong. They scooped from the hardened dried out yet slimy slop they had sitting up front. It was late and we were already here so the wife and I played an episode of fear factor, trying to eat this food. Essentially we ate some of the noodles and tasted the other two items, only to throw everything away, $26.06 in the trash for two combo#2's. Apparently fear was a factor for me. It's been well over a decade since we've eaten here, and glad it's still here. The renovations at this strip mall is helping make this restaurant relevant and attractive. The restaurant is clean and there is plenty of parking nearby. The service is quick, where you order and they build your plate as you select your entrees and sides. The price is similar and comparable to other fast Chinese food places. Their noodles are tasty because they don't make it too oily and add lots of vegetables. They have an extensive menu that is displayed on video monitors, and can make all menu items on request. The food on their hot food line look good and tasted good, too. We will likely return since it is in a very convenient shopping center in Camarillo. read more

I ordered here for dinner because my family was craving Chinese food and didn't want Panda Express, I should have ordered Panda considering how horrible the food tastes. We ordered their teriyaki chicken which looked and tasted like crap, chow mein which looked like a regurgitated orange pudding and smelled like it, and some honey walnut shrimp which might I add, looked like it had clear bird poo covered all over it. The shrimp? Terrible and made my wife sick to her stomach. The teriyaki? Unseasoned and terribly underwhelming. The chow mein? If I could give them ZERO stars I would. Went there for lunch with my son and I ordered a bowl with chow mein and teriyaki chicken. The lady who helped got a small piece of chicken and took it to the back then brought it back chopped up. She them used a food tray (when I clearly ordered a bowl, I mean the place is called Happy Bowl) and piled it high with the strange orange looking noodles and put on one little baby scoop of chicken. My son had requested a bowl with chow mein and orange chicken and again she used a tray (no bowls I guess), piled on the strange noodles and put two scoops of orange chicken. When I walked over to the register the young boy (her son I presume) working the register said $21.43 and I opened the trays and asked, "Can you please add some teriyaki chicken so that it has the same amount as the orange chicken?" They lady rolled her eyes and added two small pieces of chicken. We were hungry and had never tried the place so I pulled out $1.43 in coins and a $100 bill. The young man gave me $79 change and I said "Hey, I think you made a mistake, I'm supposed to get $80 change" The lady then came over, took the money from my hand and tried to give me even less change. I simply asked for my money back and she handed me my $100 bill. The food in this place looks extremely sketchy as it appears like it's been sitting there all day. I'm glad their math skills were terrible and I took my money and went elsewhere. Stay away, just go to Panda like we did. read more

When you go to a hole in the wall Chinese food restaurant you expect a big portion to be served not small little panda express portions. Nothing here is very good except for the barbecue pork. When you sit down in this restaurant to dine in it can get hotter than the outside temperature. They never turn on the AC!!!!! Restroom, what Restroom. As per county law, you must have a restroom available for your customers if you have a dine in restaurant. If you aren't here when they first open you can expect soggy old food that has been sitting around all day. This place is never busy, I wonder why . God I miss the OG owners the little old couple ...... Normally I love their BBQ Pork.... Unfortunately today I got the 1/2 pint of BBQ Pork and a container of the fried wonton noodles... which was ridiculously priced now! Did not experience the service because my husband picked it up. Food was decent. Noodles were a bit bland. Fried rice was better. Not too greasy. We tried the spicy beef, sweet and sour chicken, bbq pork. Beef wasn't that spicy. We liked the chicken and bbq pork was good too. Sounds like a fast food Chinese restaurant. I always start off with the positive of this place. Great customer service. Friendly and funny even. Nice guys working behind the counter. Portions are generous and big. Now to the not so good parts, I didn't expect much of the walnut shrimp but after waiting for it to be made to order, it was literally a fried shell outside a shrimp. It was chewy. The chow mein was not tasty and as such, I couldn't finish it. The bbq pork was the redeeming item but even it was a bit dry. Don't sleep on this place! Lots of options, and delicious!!! I had the bbq chicken, which if you're familiar with Filipino food, tastes just like chicken tosino. Great food, reasonable prices and very friendly staff. The chop suey and sweet and sour chicken are fabulous.

Unfortunately I think they are under new ownership. This was usually my go to fast spot. Sadly this trip discouraged me from every returning. Nothing was fresh, everything tasted old. The beef from the beef in broccoli was so slimy and gooey overall questionable and inedible. The egg rolls and puffs tasted like they were fried and reheated over days, the insides of them were pretty much air just empty insides. Portions were overall smaller. The Staff was super nice and the BBQ pork was decent but I threw almost all off my families meals away I was so scared we were going to get sick. I had to have to leave a review like this.
