Came on a busy saturday night with my family of 4 to see the live music (which was actually not bad). We had also been once before in the winter time. Quality: Food is of above average quality depending on the item. Lots of home made food which you can easily tell, and I appreciate, sweet potato fries are very good, side vegetables are fresh and cooked properly. I got prime rib both times. First time in winter it was essentially perfect. This time was a different story. Ordered medium rare, got medium, au jus and steak were both extremely extremely salty. Almost inedibley salty. Points for not giving me an allergic reaction, but prime rib is pretty safe anyways. Price: Mostly expensive. Sandwichs are not a bad deal (they're big), but my prime rib was ~$29. For 29 dollars I expect my prime rib to be absolutely perfect. Look at other items on the menu, pasta dishes around $18, wings a dollar each, some appetizers are very expensive. I understand that to have these kinds of quality ingredients at this remote location is expensive, but that doesn't change the fact. Service: Comes out to average. First time our server was perfect, most recently our server was never refilling our drinks, and forgot some items we ordered and we had to remind her. Atmosphere: Above average. I like the 3 distinct dining areas that can cater to whatever experience you prefer. The loud, twilight zone esque bar and patio area, the warm log cabin themed main dining area, or the casual diner booths out front. Overall: 4 out of 5. When in the area, I will definitely be coming back. Only reasons its not 5 is because of the extremely salty prime rib I got. Why didnt I complain and re-order you ask? With my food allergy its the safest item on the menu, and if you know how prime rib is prepared, its already seasoned and cooked ahead of time. That means the entire rib is going to be oversalted, can't really change it. Hopefully this does not happen again.

Biggest pretzel I've ever seen! And it's delicious! I've had a few pretzels in PA, and this is among the best! Oh, did I say it was huge?

John the general manager at the restaurant is very rude. Tried to blame customer for menu errors.

While most of the food is good the service is really slow, especially on a busy night.

It was a rainy day so we didn't get to enjoy the outside bar and the various lawn activities - however this place looks like a lot of fun on a sunny day. Interior was new but with that piney rustic charm. Some booths, high tops and various tables throughout the restaurant. The restaurant was packed but we were seated immediately. Drinks took a while but to no fault of the wait staff as they were hustling. Apps came immediately but main courses also took a while (+45 mins). Staff was friendly, attentive, the beer was cold and we weren't in rush. Now to the real star - I ordered the open faced roast beef, my wife and son both ordered the Smokehouse platter. This place is known for their great smokey meats and that was apparent as soon as the aroma hit your nose. In relation to the open faced sandwich I believe they use the pit beef because it had a great smoky flavor, the gravy was delicious and this dish ranks high in my book. The buffalo wings were excellent and smokey, the nashville hot sauce was spicy with more of a bbq flavoring. My family really enjoyed their bbq platters, there was a lot of food but none to take home. Overall - we had a great time. Pricing was okay with most entrees ranging from $15-$25. They do have a 4% credit card fee which was steep. I could see this place having "off" nights but for this location I'd charactarize it as a hidden gem. We can't wait to try it on a sunny afternoon.

The visit before last was bad, and this last time was just so dreadful. I had to update my review. Ownership has changed a couple times over the years, and now the restaurant is as bad as you can get. Other than the french fries, my meal was downright awful. The quality of my chicken fried steak about as good as an old TV dinner Salisbury steak. Very low quality pre-frozen portion. The salad bar was OK, but very skimpy compared to past visits., and the bread was stale. The service was terrible too, as we had to hunt down our middle-aged waitress for everything, and I mean everything. She never checked on us until she brought the check, and there were plenty of things that we needed. She never bothered clearing dirty plates or glasses off our table, and was just generally miserable as well. I really hate leaving one star, because I I know how hard it is to run a restaurant, and I really did like this place for so long.

The waitress had a sense of humor and helped us with suggestions for breakfast in town the next day. The owner saw us looking out the window at some large birds and he swiftly showed up at our table not only with our tasty pierogi appetizer but with a portable telescope so we could watch the baby eagles across the river learning how to fish with their parents. We had the wings (good inventive flavors!) and the special (smoked chicken, mashed potatoes and lemon zested peas with gravy) that tasted like a fresh pan sauce and was flavorful and definitely homemade tasting. What kind of tavern takes the time to add lemon zest to vegetables? A place that cares about the food they serve! And did I mention the beer was very affordable? We really enjoyed our dinner here and think the folks who live nearby are lucky to have a spot like this.

I first visited Rock Bottom with friends several years ago--shortly after it changed ownership. It was a pleasant stop, but things have continued to improve. The owner has improved the river view by carefully tending a riverfront lot across the street and keeping large windows. There's also a side deck with river views. Thus family-owned establishment has great service and a friendly clientele who are welcoming to all. The tap system is currently offline but Rock Bottom has a nice selection of domestic bottled beers. Four stars only because we didn't have a chance to try the food; bar service was great If you're in the Lock Haven area definitely check out this local jewel. You'll have a good time and probably make some new friends.

Due to this, they only had fans to keep cool while circulating the outdoor air. Since we had our pup with us, we were only able to sit in the patio area, but it's not like the "indoor" area was really indoors. Anyways, I wasn't in the mood for drinking, so just had some lunch here. There's two restaurants combined at the food counter (which used to be food trucks here). You can get pizza from pizza and subs from Flo Bros Pizza and wings, burgers and sandwiches from Marin Eats. I had the Crabcake Sandwich ($15) with Tots (+$2). The sandwich was solid and tots were crispy. It's a nice space to hang out with a group. There are pinball machines, cornhole, and games for entertainment. It's nicely situated next to a creek, so you get a bit of nature too.

They were dry all the way through then drowned in barbecue sauce that wasn't really flavorful at all. I would have much preferred less sauce and a juicier wing. It was in a small town so not much to the ambiance. A basic tavern type of vibe. We went for lunch and barely anyone was there but I'm assuming it was better for dinner.
