This place has a lot of potential, I am thinking once summer is here, and covid is mostly history, that this will be a fun place. But right now it seems to be a work in progress. One annoying thing is it's set up like a fast food place. You have to go to the bar to order a drink, then find a table (which oddly are mostly wooden picnic tables). Then if you want food you have to go over to the Gunzeys counter to order and pick up food. Their menu is not the greatest, basically a mix of flatbread, hot dogs, mac and cheese, fries, and salads. The Mac and cheese is basically flavorless. The flatbreads are overcooked. Considering the huge size of their kitchen, it seems that there is potential to expand their menu and improve what they currently offer. The beer they have is good, there is a good mix of varieties of beer, but I can get good beer at lots of places, and they really need to change a lot in order to be successful with all demographics. As it is it seems set up as a college hangout, but unfortunately for them they are too far from any college to rely on that age group. For one, they need to get rid of the picnic tables and put actual tables with chairs. Second, they need table service, having go up to 2 separate counters to order beer and food isn't convenient. And third, they have to revamp their menu, or at least bring in food trucks in order to offer more variety. Also once summer arrives, I would hope they would have some live music, at least on the weekends, they definitely have the space for it. Right now as it is, this place doesn't seem like it's ready to be open. Could be due to the pandemic, although it seems a lot of places these days use that as an excuse. Hopefully they figure it out, because they definitely have a lot going for them!

An awesome new spot in Jersey Shore. This place is huge, they actually were hosting what appeared to be a professional cornhole tournament today. They have a very large draft list, the "Peach Exceeds Grasp" was very good. They also serve food through Gunzey's Hot Sausage, we didn't try anything today but the menu looked great. I see this place being very popular, would absolutely recommend checking it out.

Nice little brewery with good beers and a great sausage bar. We did flights so we could sample as many options as possible. Nice staff.

Small brewery's are common in Appalachia. Some have even turned into larger operations, over the…read moreyears. Names like Appalachian Beer Company and Lancaster Brewery come to mind. These places some excellent beer. But they also are restaurants. So, maybe beer is a draw in or the food at times. So with that, Drunk Monkey is a pure brewery. They make, sell, distribute, and promote their own product. As far as promoting, I am not sure they need to do much work as the product has really gotten some attention at the street level. I have seen the main beer showing up at local restaurants the last year. There has also been solid word of mouth. Some of their beers are even winning awards. So it didn't take much convincing from a coworker to get me there before our Nittany Lions came on. The brewery, itself, is a tiny place tucked into an old industrial park that use to be home to one of the largest textile mills in the country. Long abandoned, different smaller businesses now call the park home. One of the more sustained businesses is Fisher's bee farm. That brings us to the brewery. The owner of the bee farm decided to start a brewery near his business. Once finding the brewery, you notice that it is a whole in the wall kinda place. But once entering, the place is organized, clean, and the folks are extremely warm and friendly. Everything is clearly marked. Beer prices are payed out in a sheet on the wall. There is a merchandise rack clearly marked. There are cases clearly marked for type. You can tell this is a place where the people love and care about their beer. The lady manning the shop was knowledgable and friendly. She gave us a preview of the beers and described each one as we taste tested the taps. She then offered us a tour of the small brewery which we jumped on. This definitely plussed the experience and ultimately earned that fifth star. We learned that this particular young lady also hand labels, preps, and fills the bottles. So she does more than just look pretty selling the beer. Now for the beer. I really can't remember all the particular names of the beer. But I had a few favorites. In particular, the German wheat beer was fantastic. That is what I got my growler filled with. Some of the other beers that tasted great, Kraken and one named Mistress or something to that effect. Fittingly, the mistress had a tap handle in the shape of a ship figure head. Speaking of which, all the beers have nautical names based on the folklore of Captain Jack which many local landmarks are named. I have nothing negative to say about Drunk Monkey. They are in an obscure location. The place is small and doesn't look like much from the outside. But like most really great businesses, it is about the knowledge of the people behind the business. Drunk Monkey has plenty of that! If you are in the area on a Wednesday or Saturday, stop in for a taste.

A kind of expensive stop for meh food and beer. Staff were amazing, so I feel slightly bad for a critical review. ---------------------------- Parking/ This started off the experience rocky for our vehicle. There seemed to be no specific parking dedicated to the brewery. There seemed to be a lot next door for the bank, but there was tons of signage saying it was for the bank, and others would be towed. There seemed to be street parking, but tons of signs saying no parking, loading zones, etc. After three trips around the block settled on the bank since it was Sunday. Had this been any other day, I could have seen us giving up and going elsewhere. Ambiance/ Very brewery-esque with tanks, natural vibes, etc. There was a live jazz trio playing who sounded lovely, but I just wasn't in the mood to try to talk over music, and asked to be moved further away. It seemed like the general feel, many were sat in main bar area, and asked to move back. Staff/ Every single staff member was super friendly, helpful, prompt, and trying to make your experience go well, so super shout out to the staff. Food/ We were stopping through the area around lunch time, so we didn't need anything crazy, but if you weren't getting breakfast or a burger, there wasn't much else. We both ordered a burger (All American and the breakfast/fried egg one). The All-American was good and I upgraded to fries. Breakfast burger was "good enough" I'm told. The chips that come with the burgers are just bagged kettles chips and not homemade. Beers/ We actually came in thinking we weren't going to drink, but were suckers for trying new things. Husband had an IPA and I had a fruited sour. Neither of us liked our beers, and I purposely made sure to drink mine before finishing my food so I didn't have to end with it. Price/ I don't know the area well but beers were $7-$8 for 10 oz pours. For two burgers, one with bagged chips and one with upgraded fries, and 2 not good beers, our bill was $50+. Which isn't terrible, but I could find better places to eat for that price point.

They're located in the heart of Downtown Williamsport and bring their A game when it comes to food and brews. The Good: *Great location right across from the theater (we were there to see a graduation) *Friendly service *Small dog-friendly front patio *Live music *Sunday Brunch *Fried Pierogis were delicious and served up hot and fresh. I wish they were a little more seasoned, as the mashed potato filling needed more salt. But ain't that the way taters always is? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ *Carissa loved her Korean BBQ Salmon Salad, as the fish was cooked perfectly and the house KBBQ sauce was delicious. *Huge draft list of housemade beers, ciders, and even sodas. *My Pittsburger was epic! Talk about a meal in one handful: burger, slaw, and fries all packed neatly between two soft pillowy buns made this a Man vs Food episode in the making. The Meh: *Free but limited street parking. There are several small lots adjacent but I'm not sure what their limitations are. The Ugly: *The place can fill up fast, especially if there's an event/show at the aforementioned theater. Conclusion: Great beer, ambiance, and food. Say less.

It's very family friendly so expect lots of kids and not a lot of supervision. The food I've had was fine- it's a brewery so I don't expect fine dining. The beer is mid from what I'm told. Due to this, they only had fans to keep cool while circulating the outdoor air. Since we had our pup with us, we were only able to sit in the patio area, but it's not like the "indoor" area was really indoors. Anyways, I wasn't in the mood for drinking, so just had some lunch here. There's two restaurants combined at the food counter (which used to be food trucks here). You can get pizza from pizza and subs from Flo Bros Pizza and wings, burgers and sandwiches from Marin Eats. I had the Crabcake Sandwich ($15) with Tots (+$2). The sandwich was solid and tots were crispy. It's a nice space to hang out with a group. There are pinball machines, cornhole, and games for entertainment. It's nicely situated next to a creek, so you get a bit of nature too.
