I booked her "Day of Coordination" package, but her support extended way beyond just the wedding day. I came in with a clear vision and main vendors picked out, so I mainly needed a pro to step in, handle my DIYs, and execute a 200+ guest event. Very few weddings take place at our venue, so the fact that Jen had already worked there showed just how experienced she is. She vibed with us from the very first phone call and filled every gap--from instantly recommending a fantastic alternative rental vendor to dialing in our timeline. She was always there as a grounded, reassuring presence whenever I started overthinking. On the actual day, Jen and her team (Nicole and Mimi are absolute rockstars!) ran the show effortlessly. They even stepped in to bustle my dress so my bridesmaids didn't have to, doing it in record time and giving me more time to actually enjoy cocktail hour! Nothing went wrong--or if it did, I was completely unaware because they kept us so at ease the whole day. Plus, they made sure we were fed! I couldn't have asked for a better team. Thank you!!!

FAWE was the only vendor to give me a proposal that fit exactly what I asked for. When I had expressed I was worried I couldn't handle a specific ceremony by myself, instead of taking advantage of my worry (and adding extra costs), she gave me confidence that it was simple and I could do it from her previous experience. I appreciated her honesty and felt like she was on my side. Since I planned everything and my venue provided a lot of what I needed, I decided to get a day of coordinator and worked with Courtney and her assistant. I really loved that Courtney really understood the nuances of multicultural weddings and knew how to create a schedule that can fit everything that I wanted. She was a great sound board to bounce ideas off of as I was putting everything together in calls leading up to the wedding. She was also super detailed and even remembered that I should check the batteries for my polaroid camera (which I needed new batteries for!) For the day of the wedding, she arrived with another assistant and helped with the final details of set up working with my venue, my florist, and more. Courtney was a pleasure to work with! I highly recommend getting a day of coordinator at the very least, I didn't have to worry much about setting things up and even had extra time to take a bunch of photos with my family. She packed everything for me at the end of the night and handled the final payments. I definitely recommend FAWE to other brides and grooms out there that want a dedicated team who have a depth of experience!

Unfortunately, I was not able to have the Forever & Always Wedding that I dreamed of. Although…read moreHeather communicated very well, there were a couple of incidents that I found slightly unprofessional: 1. I signed a contract with one of her staff as my wedding planner. Unfortunately, from my understanding, there were unexpected changes in the company, so Heather had to take over. However, Heather responded that she would make an exception for me and not charge me an additional $1000 for this change. With all due respect, I should not be financially penalized for changes that an owner experiences; especially since I already signed the contract that I financially agreed to. 2. I encountered a lot of life changes that disrupted my ability to move forward with a wedding that my brothers were supposed to be in. For instance, I had a depressed, suicidal brother, I had another brother leave for Japan for the Marines, and I had an uncle pass away. All vendors except for Heather were so kind to fully refund my deposits due to the situation. Unfortunately, Heather responded that she was still a businesswoman and was financially hurting, so she was in no place to offer a full refund. I basically paid Heather almost $500 to establish a simple contract. I already had all the vendors in place and organized, so this deposit was for nothing. Heather should not be held responsible for unexpected circumstances, but this wedding meant a lot to me. As a business owner, you should be able to compromise with your clients based on their situation. I could have easily used that deposit to help my family for the funeral. I find this situation absurd because I never wanted a wedding planner to begin with. Our wedding list was only 32 guests, but my fiancé insisted that we hire a planner because he did not want me to stress out. I admire him for caring, but this wedding was going to be a private and intimate event with very little management. I blame myself for hiring a wedding planner when I did not need one. It is unfortunate that Heather was thinking like a businesswoman and not a human being with empathy. Nonetheless, please make sure to ask about the refund policy for emergencies such as death, health, etc. Two stars are for her communication, but I can only evaluate Heather based on my experience with her before the wedding date. Therefore, I am unable to provide feedback for her day service since my wedding never happened. Has it ever occurred to you, Heather, that you had not heard from me in a year because I was busy dealing with other important things like planning a funeral? My wedding was the last thing on my mind. Also, I was not complaining about the charge that never happened, I am complaining about your response to your changes. There was no need to comment on that you are more expensive and won't be charging me. We could have proceeded forward with whatever it was we were doing. You contacted ONE venue and that is because they had YOU sign a contract with them. FYI, my pre-engagement photos were scheduled with the photographer I hired for my wedding and I was still refunded the full amount. This vendor did not work for free either and still managed to prioritize customer service over money. You are a business owner and have the liberty to do as you please, but you must have needed the money more than I did, so I hope my contributions helped your business. Nonetheless, well done on your communication. If you have a family member with a life-threatening illness or you have a medical condition that may require potential hospitalization, please do not hire Heather as your wedding planner as she will not refund you the deposit because not make exceptions for your situation simply because she does not "work for free." Thank you.

My husband, family, and I absolutely loved working with Nicolette! She made wedding planning so fun and not stressful, because we always knew that she was on top of it and had our backs. Nicolette is amazing at juggling the ins and outs of wedding planning and while also being sensitive and aware of the stresses and overwhelming feelings that can come up throughout the process. She truly is a wedding planner and a friend. We are genuinely sad that our wedding is over and that we aren't working with Nicolette anymore! She has excellent communication via e-mail, text, and Skype calls and is professional but also fun and positive. We were referred to Nicolette after my brother and sister-in-law worked with her for their wedding last year. We feel like she became a part of our family after getting to know her over the years! We always looked forward to our meetings with her, and would come out feeling like we had accomplished so much and could rest knowing that we were on-track with wedding planning. On the day of the wedding, Nicolette was incredibly prompt+to the schedule+fun when rallying the wedding party. She made sure that my husband and I got to eat all of the food and truly enjoy the party without feeling rushed around, which I so appreciated. She was also so good at helping to calm my worries and plan accordingly for rain that was forecasted for our wedding day. It ended up drizzling during our ceremony and she was able to flip our entire reception from outdoor to indoor. I always felt like Nicolette was on top of it so I never had to worry :) She made our wedding vision dreams become a reality, and it was even better than our dreams! She was also very skilled at sticking to our budget and finding deals along the way. We also worked with Carly during the planning process, who was amazing and so talented as well! We just think the world of Nicolette, and would highly recommend her to any family member, friend, or stranger!!! A huge thank you to Sparkling Soirees for all that you do :)

Claire handled putting together a gorgeous design brief based on inspiration photos we gathered, which definitely helped as we went through the process of selecting and working with vendors--all of whom were also incredible! An important thing I also want to mention is that I had a sudden health issue flare up partway through our venue search, which set things back by a year. The team was incredibly understanding and checked in periodically while offering well wishes until I was ready to return to planning, and I deeply appreciate how patient they all were during such a difficult time. I admire their passion for planning and it was so incredible working with them. I worked with Paola and Sandra directly and Sandra was there day of. Paola and Sandra are very experienced, professional, and kind. Both were actively involved in the planning process. I'm extremely type A and it's hard for me to trust people to take over (especially when I knew it was one of the most important days in my life) and take on tasks, but I trusted them 100%. To start off, they have a lot of experience working at Terannea, which made things a lot easier for us and helped things run smoothly. Moreover, the vendors I selected knew of Paola and Sandra and their team and I admired their good reputation in the wedding industry. Knowing what I know now, it would have been easier for me to have hired them as full on planning instead of day of coordination just because they're so good at what they do that I really trust every decision they make. I keep getting comments from my family and friends that the wedding was one of the best they've been to. This review is 100% honest. We got married at The Loft on Pine a few weeks ago, and if anyone is getting married there you NEED to work with Green Apple! She has a lot of experience with the venue, she used to work there, and knows all the little details and rules. We chose their Simply Coordination Services, and along with our two helpful in-person meetings, Meghan and her team were easy to reach by phone and email with any questions or needs. I never felt like I was inconveniencing them with questions or concerns, and everyone was quick to respond. She also gave great suggestions and advice on how to set up our day. The Loft on Pine's standard hours given for a wedding is 5 hours, and I was nervous that we wouldn't have a lot of time for dancing, which was super important for me. Also, she gave the excellent recommendation of hiring DartDJ. They are incredible! At the rehearsal, Meghan was super patient and made it quick and fun. My husband is one of 7 and we had about 8 little ones in our wedding, so you can only imagine how hectic it could have been. She also helped us store our own decor on site. The day of couldn't have gone better! I honestly can't recall anything going wrong, and if it did Meghan handled it so none of us were aware. Even my father, who has pretty high expectations and is the first to point out when things feel like they're dragging, was so impressed with the flow of the wedding and reception. Everything was seamless. Not only did it go smoothly, we had more than enough time to dance! My family, husband, and I continue to sing Meghan's praises, and can confidently say that if we did it all over again...we would do it exactly the same. Finding the perfect wedding planner to help us navigate this huge undertaking was our key first step in the planning process and we were so fortunate to cross paths with the brilliant team at Green Apple. Our main goal was to find a planner that would be collaborative and creative; someone who would guide us with their expertise, but work with us to help bring our ideas to life. Meghan was that brilliant and creative mind to engineer our dream wedding. Meghan and her team are very experienced and it is evident in their work. They helped us stay on top of so many small details that we would have otherwise overlooked or not been aware of at all. She is familiar with all of the modern and current styles in the industry, from signage to florals, but her vision goes so far beyond delivering you an "on trend" wedding. She incorporates so much of the personality and creative tastes of the couples she works with, and this was very apparent in our finished product. We worked with Meghan on a full-planning service and she was by our side from a week after our engagement all the way until the dance floor cleared on our wedding night. The full planning was a dream, as she helped us navigate everything including vendor visits, budget planning, contract review, catering tastings, and design elements among other countless details; she goes beyond just the business aspect of wedding planning, she was tuned in to our personal experiences during the entire process, including our family dynamics, guest list drama and sometimes just serving as someone we could vent to about the emotions that come along with planning. She was an absolute dream to work with. Day-of coordination went off without a hitch. With a guest count of over 250 people, an offsite church ceremony, 2 venue spaces to set up between cocktail hour and the dining/dancing, navigating downtown LA traffic, and coordinating with over a dozen vendors, this was a hectic day. Meghan and her team pulled everything off FLAWLESSLY. I cannot stress enough how organized and timely everything went; as the bride and groom, we had absolutely no stress or worry about things being in place or on time. She was graceful in handling any family situations that came up, tended to our needs and timelines, and was just so pleasant with our family and friends. We could not have asked for a better experience than what we had with Green Apple Event Co.
