Been to hanzo many times over the years, i never get tired of coming here. the happy hour is amazing! 10-12, cocktails included! love the sushi rolls, katsu chicken, cucumber salad, you really can't go wrong with anything here. Delicious cocktails! i've made it a mission to try a new cocktail everytime i hit Hanzo up and i haven't been disappointed. this spot is a cute date night, girls night or even just a solo dolo situation. service is great! when it's busy, give your servers grace, they are running around like crazy.

I just recently learned about Hanzo, but I wanted to go because of their reverse happy hour. I met a friend and we got there just as they opened for the night. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a very chill, calm vibe. All the employees were very attentive and we had several check in throughout our visit. The happy hour drinks and food gave enough variety and were delicious. I had the wings with the popular house sauce and the gyoza. To drink, I had two spicy jalapeño daiquiris and they were balanced and delicious. I would definitely recommend Hanzo for after work drinks and bites. I will be coming back and you should too!

Great little cocktail bar with Asian fusion. They just did a menu change so a little different than what it's had for the past year that I recall. Still a couple vegan options. I got the garden roll and fried tofu without the spicy mayo. Miso soup on point as usual. There's a brussel sprouts veg bowl with a yummy sauce I like too. The avadashintofu is no longer on the menu but they made it for me anyways. Seems like servers aren't too familiar with new menu yet because they kept running to back to ask chef what was in certain items or any questions about what the sauces were. Overall best little spot especially during happy hour. They have it twice.

Hanzo is one of our favorite date night spots. We've been fortunate to get a table almost right away most times that we make the trip out. The atmosphere is unmatched - cozy, modern, and plenty of art and anime to look at. They have screens showing anime and movies on opposite sides of the restaurant. Onto the food. Highly recommend the twice fried wings - we love the yuzu lemon pepper flavor along with the side of Lon Lon ranch. The sushi selection is great too - my husband loves ordering the dragon roll. I ordered ramen the last time we stopped by. I felt that the individual components of the bowl were great but I think the tonkotsu broth is a little too rich to really "bring it all together". I think they'd benefit from offering a shoyu-based broth. The menu is changing so they are doing away with the bao board which is disappointing! But always looking forward to what they'll come up with next. Definitely check this place out :)

I would highly recommend Hanzo for a night out with friends or even date night! My friends and I came on a Friday night for happy hour and had a reservation. There is no host table and you seat yourself so I highly recommend making reservations if you plan on coming on the weekend because they tend to get really busy. Service is decent, however it does take a while to be acknowledged after sitting down but food/drinks came out fast after that. Our waiter also made it very easy to split the bill 6 ways when some people ordered certain things for themselves. There is a nice patio outside and they do play movies or games inside for entertainment. There is a small parking lot in the front but a bigger one hidden in the back. We ordered almost one of everything off the Happy Hour menu and enjoyed them all! On top of that, everything is super affordable for HH! My favorite things were the *agadashi tofu, *pork gyoza (not pictured), and the *nigiri. I got the 'One Punch Love' cocktail off the HH menu and thought it tasted like sweet fruity champagne. I probably would not order the spicy tuna roll again as it was drowned in too much sriracha mayo. Just a warning, the spicy edamame is also very citrusy which was okay but a bit unexpected. For affordability and the vibes I would definitely come back to Hanzo again.

Hanzo is located in Alamo Heights and has Happy Hour all day Sunday, Monday & Tuesday- Saturday 4-7. I've dined here two times and it was night and day from the first visit. The atmosphere is great, drinks are great and food is mid. My first visit I ordered one drink, dumplings and a sushi roll. Service was decent and enjoyed the happy hour prices. My second visit was a terrible experience. I know it was busy but the server dropped off a menu and never returned. I asked another server for water and it never came. I decided to place my order at the bar and kept having to bring my drink/food items back to my table. Didn't mind that but would've been nice to know that from the jump. Overall, it's a nice spot to enjoy HH for a light bite but service is hit or miss. Peace.

This is a pretty cool spot in San Antonio. You would drive right by and never know it is there. It is tucked into a little courtyard of a small commercial building. There is a big patio seating area in the cozy courtyard. The inside was dark with an Asian flair. There are TVs on both side of the room with a large wraparound bar in the middle. It is a dark and cozy space with a lounge feel. It was crowded and a little bit louder than I prefer, but nice. I sat at the bar and was greeted by Matthew. Nice guy and an artist behind the bar. He walked me through the drinks and the sushi. I settled for their Asian old fashioned. It was a decent drink with an Asian flair. It had regular ice rather than craft, but it was a good drink. I ordered the Dragon ball roll, the fire breathing roll and the 210. All were delicious and presented beautifully. Matthew asked if I wanted another drink. I said sure show me something and let him go to work. He came back with a miso caramel bourbon drink on craft ice with a lemon twist. It was perfect. It was his creation with hand made mixers. On point. Great place. Absolutely worth it. When you find a creative bartender sit back and let them create. Thanks Matthew.

Returned for HH again and was able to snag an inside booth this time. Though it was extremely busy, the servers and staff were definitely working hard to keep customers happy. We got the fried tofu and vegetable roll this time. We loved the vegetable roll so much, we ordered a second one. Drinks were also refreshing and tasty, as always!

Tried the ribs tonight. A tad salty but tenderrrrrrrrr!

Go for the drinks, vibe, and live music if on the right night. Food is ok. My ribs were sooooooo frickin tenderrrr, but oh so salty. So, I'm hoping it was a one off. We got the spicy tuna roll and fish's texture was too mushy for me and kinda of room temp. My second time getting sushi. I wouldn't get again. Loved the guy performing that night...Joshua Summey. Cool voice and interacted nicely with the crowd. Love the outside area. Inside is cool and vibey as well. They have reverse HH starting @ 10 pm

This place is one of my favorites when in SA. We came for a midday Saturday happy hour (3-7pm) and were able to grab bar seats. The low lighting set the perfect ambiance, and conversation among the establishment wasn't loud. For drinks, we had the spicy pina daiquiri and rhubarb g&t. Both were very refreshing, but the daiquiri stole the show! For starters we had the firecracker shrimp, which were hot, crispy and served with a perfect sweet chili sauce. For main entrees we had the sticky ribs and tempura shrimp roll. Both were really good. They also have HH all day Sunday and Monday!

Heads up u can sit where ever u want !!! Waiter well.... i will give him the benefit of the doubt bc he was also serving this loudest drunk bday party table (oh but i was living for their tea... honey that bday was spilling her lore) so yeah we just didn't get a chance to hear recommendations but this is where idc like EVERYTHING is so so so good! and SO WELL PRICED.. honey we will be returning and its kinda hidden so as my fav queen likes to say "THIS IS A HIDDEN GEM" forgot to mention we went during happy hour but things were already cheap in the regular menu! Sake bomb 3.50$ got meee gooood and only way i drink beer! my friend got a mock tail and loved that they had options for them to drink! they said " oh they keep it juicy juicy" and well yes! food: i got like edamame and yeah, they were a little bit too limey it was ponzu, but I didn't mind it was just different. Next time I will be definitely trying the spicy version. got the happy hour 210 roll and honestly, that stuff was really spicy so the Serrano got me good. also got fried egg rolls the pork and honestly were not my fav but i would skip next time. Next, I also got the Bao platter pork belly and chicken curry and it was so yummy only wish the pork belly was a bit softer and not like crispy as the fried chicken ! but still super yummy. will come back to report about the cocktails and other sushi rolls!

Have I been living under a rock or how come I didn't know about this awesome place? My friends and I were looking to go out for drinks and one of them suggested Hanzo. We got there towards the end of their happy hour and the place was PACKED. Their happy hour is all day on Sunday and Monday, 3pm-7pm on Tuesday - Friday, and 5pm - 7pm on Saturday. Their happy hour includes both a drink and food, which makes sense why the place was packed. For my first time I decided to go for a bottle of wine and ordered a couple of their happy hour appetizers. I think from everything we ordered my favorite was the pork gyoza and something I would not order again is their spicy tuna roll. The pork gyoza were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The spicy tuna roll was topped with some sort of sauce that made it very sour. The menu says it's siracha but I highly doubt that is what they used. Overall, we had an amazing time and the staff was fantastic. I would definitely come back for happy hour and check out some of their other food items!

Look for the green light and avoid searching around like a weirdo, like me lol. Once inside, I found the interior is cozy with seating for couples, small groups and bar seating. We asked the mixologist to put his own spin on old fashions and he delivered. I'm addicted to the spicy cinnamon version that he created! The quail pops were a nice little appetizer although they could have used a bit more seasoning. I think the drink and app prices were very reasonable. Service was laid back and friendly. My only reco would be to maybe put a bit more thought into the vintage decor and secret restroom. The restroom lock was hard to figure out, especially after a drink or two lol. Overall this Speakeasy is a great spot to add a bit of intrigue to your evening.

Morrissey hadn't graced San Antonio in over 10 years, with past cancellations and postponements haunting fans along the way. So when he finally returned, San Antonio Moz fans showed up and showed out. Despite multiple after-party options across the city, fans from Brazil, the UK, Canada, Japan, and all across the U.S. chose Bang Bang Bar as the place to be on a cold Saturday night. Hosted by local emcee Ricardo Moz and Apollo DJ, the night turned into one for the history books. Bang Bang Bar is easily one of Texas' best dive-lounge bars...the perfect blend of gritty and cozy. Great cocktail program, solid beer selection, and a vibe that just works. The décor leans heavy into a 1950s-60s lounge aesthetic, with intimate spaces like the Blue Room and Yellow Room, perfect for groups of 7-10. Low lighting, warm atmosphere, and zero pretension exactly what you want for a night like this. Bang Bang Bar consistently supports local and touring acts, spanning punk, alternative, and DJ-driven nights, and this Moz Smiths Disco was no exception. It was wall-to-wall classics all night long. Major credit to Phanie and the Bang Bang Bar management they rolled up their sleeves, brought in extra bar staff, and handled an overwhelming crowd like pros. Fans waited up to 45 minutes in the cold, with a line wrapping around the building, and the energy inside never dipped. As the host of Panic On The Streets, I'm incredibly thankful to Bang Bang Bar for helping us pull off one of the best after-parties we've done in years. Fittingly, 2026 marks the 10-year anniversary of both Bang Bang Bar and Panic On The Streets of San Antonio and what a way to celebrate.
