Overall food and service were great but no need for them to charge extra for a little mix of dressings.

The Burnt Norton delivers a masterclass in modern, artistic ambiance, completely transforming its…read moredowntown Wilkes-Barre space into a cozy, creative haven that feels miles away from a traditional restaurant layout. The seasonal cocktails are exceptional in taste and genuinely unique in creativity, and the gourmet pizza options are refreshingly different from what this county is used to. I love even the taste of the wood-fired dough itself--smoky, flavorful, and actually worth noticing, rather than the usual bland, fried-cardboard excuse for a pizza crust you encounter far too often around here. There's clearly thought put into every component, from the food and cocktails to the atmosphere, and the whole place has a wonderfully strange, intimate character that makes you want to actually sit there and take everything in. This is the kind of place that makes downtown feel interesting again.

Grabbed lunch here on a recent visit to my parents and really enjoyed my grain bowl…read more Red Leaf offers dozens of predesigned salads and grain bowls, but there's also the option to customize your salad or bowl using an extensive list of ingredients. We ordered online, which is a smooth process with plenty of opportunity to personalize your order even when choosing a predesigned option from the menu. The only annoying thing about the online ordering was that it forced me to select a green to replace some of my grain with in my grain bowl --- they either need to make the question optional or add the option to say no. BF and I both wound up ordering the Green Machine, which features a bunch of green vegetables (kale, avocado, broccoli, celery, cucumber, peas) and shrimp --- this tasted fresh and delicious. The suggested parmesan peppercorn dressing paired perfectly and I devoured every bite of the very sizable salad. My mom got the southwest salad with sweet and spicy chicken, which is her go-to order from Red Leaf. She usually gets her dressing on the side and winds up transferring a portion of her salad into a bowl at home so she can save the leftovers without dealing with soggy lettuce. I thought the prices were reasonable for the quality of food and the large variety of options they offer. Service was a bit slow (they weren't ready with our order on arrival at the designated time) but friendly.
