WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE!!!!
I've been attempting to come into this store to purchase baby formula for several months now on WIC vouchers, each month I get two vouchers, one which is good for 15 cans of concentrate, the other is good for 16 cans. Each time I've come in, there has never been enough on the shelf for 1 voucher, let alone both of them. The thing with vouchers is, if you only get say 14 cans, and the voucher is good for 15, well... you miss out on that 1 can, which costs approximately $4.30
(complaint #1- not an adequate supply of product)
A few weeks ago I thought I'd try again, and of course, there was not enough on the shelf, so I brought it amongst myself to bring this to the attention of management. First there was the customer service manager, who wasn't sure how to help me, so she called the "front of house manager" as I believe she was later referred to me as... the front of house manager called another manager, apparently one who was responsible for inventory control.
(complaint #2- How many managers does it to take to fix something so simple? Is the rest of their staff really that incompetent, or is this place really that micromanaged?)
On this day, I explained my concern to both managers. It was explained to me, that there simply wasn't enough of a demand for this product to keep it stocked. (fair enough). He also explained, that if it was my intention to shop there, he'd personally see to it that there was always plenty in stock. (Nicest part of my experience so far). At the moment, on shelf, there were actually only 14 cans of this formula left. I was, at this time, prepared to go to another store (as I've needed to each time), when the "front of house" manager simply suggested the following arrangement;
She would give me the 14 cans, but ring it up as 15. When the new stock came in (which should be in by the end of the week as I was advised by the stock manager) I could use my other voucher, and pick up the extra can that was originally unavailable to me. I double checked with the FOH manager, asking "are you sure this won't be a problem?" and she was adamant, that yes, it will have already been accounted for, it will be just like we are holding it for you to come and pick up at a later date. I left her my phone number, and even witnessed her write herself a note...something to the effect of "call when formula comes in +1"
It had been a week and a half later, and I received no such phone call.
(Complaint #3- unreliability)
Earlier this morning, I'd gone into the store to pick up my formula. I hadn't noticed either of the two managers I'd originally spoken with, so I proceeded to customer service where I asked for the manager on duty. A few moments later, in walked a tall brunet women who starts off her introduction (frumpy body language and vacant facial expression and all) by staring and saying "so what's going on"...To sum things up;
She kept interrupting me, and before hearing my story, told me that "my problem" is with wic, not her store.. advising me that if I call wic, they can explain their procedures (hadn't heard a word of my story) She advised me that she could not nor would she compensate me for the one can of formula that was rightfully mine, because it was apparently "against the law". She told me that I must be mistaken in what took place, because if the manager I spoke to was the one "she thinks it is" that she would never do som ething like that (calling me a liar basically, and/or that her staff don't make mistakes)... She seemed adamant that because I could not remember the managers names, it was not her problem. She refused to investigate it which she could have easily done, by checking to see who ordered the last case of this formula, so that she'd know who I spoke to, but she didn't. Instead, she continued on by even more rudely, getting loud. When I finally asked for her corporate phone number she handed it to me with the final words of "here you go, good luck": At some point during our conversation, she advised me she was the "Store Manager".
(Complaint #4- Are you kidding me?)
It is true, that their food is ridiculously overpriced, but the location was convenient.
My words of advise to anyone reading this is, unless you get your kicks off of being treated like an idiot, misjudged by someone who is apparently so much better than you, and paying too much for things that they may or may not have available, well than in my opinion, you could find better treatment and service from any of the people who hate us in Iraq. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. read more
