Trader Joe's is another one of those places I've driven by quite a few times, despite never having set foot inside of one. That is....until recently. It seems opinions on this place are quite strong on both extremes. As for mine? Well, it sort of reminds me of a more upscale version of Aldi's. Perhaps it's just this one location. But I honestly expected the inside of the store to be bigger. Not to say that it's a microcosm of sorts, mind you. Still, I couldn't help but notice the interior arrangement was similar to Aldi's. And in keeping of such themes, I came here for one ingredient specifically: ground beef. Let me tell you though...just from sampling this one item, I could tell you legions about TJ's quality control. I kid you not when I say this is quite possibly the finest quality of ground beef I have ever sculpted into a burger. They also have pre-formed patties which are 1/3 pounders each. However, I like the freedom of being able to craft my own patty to the size and weight of my choosing (typically 8oz with a 5.5 inch diameter). Hey, I know what I like. Anyway, what really grabbed my attention with this product was how incredibly malleable the meat was. If you go to, say....Walmart and get the classic 80/20 beef, it's a bit more fragmented when it comes to sculpting it into a standard patty. Probably the reason most people just get the pre-formed ones instead. TJ's beef, on the other hand, is so refined it even translates in flavor. As I went to season these like I do before placing them on the grill, the end product was (in my very humble opinion) possibly one of the tastiest renditions of a burger I ever crafted! Best of all, I don't feel the product was all that expensive when compared to its competitors. You'll hear some folks complain about the prices. But honestly, I have a feeling they would do that regardless of where they shop because grocery prices are going up EVERYWHERE! It's a moot point anyway. You go to which ever store fits your requirements at the time and (hopefully) choose your items carefully and wisely. That is all to say....I think I'll be going to TJ's as my personal gold standard for ground beef; future steak endeavors to follow shortly hereafter. Wanna know what I find most vexing about this location though? The parking lot. I dunno what exactly it is. But the formation of islands in this parking lot have me feeling cramped and anxious all at once. I totally dodged 4 cars pulling in before I could park. Granted, one of those cars was some idiot driving through parking spaces to, I presume, exit the lot but....you get the idea. Just be mindful navigating this lot and for f*#! sake, people - pay attention to ALL the stop signs! Make no mistake, I'll be returning here in the near future. Just not during the busy hours, if I can help it. They're most likely going to be a place where I hand pick specific items only, much like Whole Foods. As with any Trader Joe's, this store was clean and well organized. It appeared that everything was well stocked and they had a lovely display/ selection of flowers and plants. I feel that this Trader Joe's was particularly spectacular due to one of the employees. Edward was incredibly helpful to my friend and me when selecting a variety of wines. He was very knowledgeable and patient. We appreciated his thoroughness with answering all of our questions. My local Trader Joe's does not sell wine. I am so glad that I was able to shop at this location and could take advantage of the great selection of wine (and Edward's advice). Be sure to ask for him when you are shopping for wine. read more

Hmmm... Not really a big fan of Trader Joe's in general. Food is expensive. I'm really not into all that organics stuff. Waste of money. But, I do love that Trader Joe's for their wine! Their Cabernet Sauvignon @ $3.99 (used to be $2.99 until recently) is absolutely amazing. At least, I think it is. Love love love it! Best wine I had in a while! Their Merlot, not so much. 'Good', but not 'great'. Also, their store brand beer is pretty cheap too. $3.99 or $4.99 for a six-pack. 5-6 varieties, from Chocolate Stout, Double IPA, Lager, Pilsner, you name it. It's good. Not very happy with my latest purchase despite being generally satisfied with TJs. Picrelated box of butter cookies from TJs. It has a butter cream as an ingredient with margarine in it. What is margarine? Hydrogenated oil basically. Wow. Really? 1. I didn't expect TJs will carry an item with hydrogenated oil in it 2. It is not just this Trader Joe's, but all the ones I've been to (MA as well) the employees are the absolute friendliest ones I've ever encountered working at a grocery store. They are always smiling and super happy which can definitely make a difference in my day. They have a huge variety of gluten free, as well as vegan options. Some of the produce looks so much better than Market Basket, at very comparable prices. They have so many different foods you could never find at Market Basket or Shaw's. Their olive tapenade is a MUST (I finished the whole tub in about a day, oops). Also this gluten free & dairy free brownie brittle is so good that I cannot buy anymore because I will eat an entire bag in one sitting. I love shopping here, kudos to TJ's for always having fresh kosher meat in stock! The staff is very warm and genuinely friendly. I love the ready made foods like the lemon basil pasta salad with parmesan which never disappoints. Produce section is top notch, they even have some exotic stuff from time to time and it last longer in the fridge from my experience buying to last the whole week. I've been shopping there even more during the fall season for all their pumpkin spice stuff which is so good unlike the odd mass produced goods from grocery chains. Must try the pumpkin kringle while it's still there- a huge danish round pastry stuffed with pumpkin spice and cinnamon goodness with yummy frosting on the top. The holidays are coming and I'm very much looking forward fo what's next. If you're in the area, it's definitely a must try! read more

For such a small store, they are always well-stocked (hello, Everything Bagel Seasoning!!) and the employees are soooo nice! I have only been to a few TJ's, none of them in the New England area, over the years, and most have been much larger than this store, so I can't say that I've got a huge frame of reference, but wow. It's easy to spend a bunch here on a lot of stuff and leave completely happy. I usually am here with kids and employees are so friendly and easygoing, just what a tired old mom needs when she's out with a bunch of gremlins. The parking situation here can be a little busy at times; there can be some jockeying going on. But overall, it's not a big deal for what you get and it's worth the trip. read more

I got together with a friend who lives in Nashua. When leaving to return home I noticed the store...and also at that time there wasn't a long line waiting to get in. Entering the store I was given a sanitized cart by a pleasant associate. The store was noticably very clean and well- stocked. I was somewhat surprised that the aisles weren't marked with arrows as has been done in others. The aisles in this particular store are wide - which may explain everything. Well, I got the items I stopped in for without any issues and then headed to checkout. An associate took me right away and processed the transaction... Bagged my groceries. I must add that the associates I interacted with couldn't have been nicer. If this store was closer I'd definitely shop there often. read more

Had a rather unfortunate experience at this Trader Joe's location :( Yesterday around 1:30PM I stopped by to grab a small gift for a friend who is in mourning and was accosted at the door by a (assuming genders) female employee asking a string of questions about my service dog. She insisted since he wasn't in a vest, he couldn't come in, and got the manager. The female manager argued with me, in the rain, for several minutes before allowing me in to grab my two items for my grieving friend. I was too upset at the time to articulate this but I really hope these employees hear this or corporate passes on the message: there is a pandemic going on. There are bigger issues than a young woman with crippling mental health issues needing to bring in her 10lb toy breed service dog for support during this pandemic. By flexing your small amount of power and lecturing me for a prolonged period of time you put both of us at close contact risk For COVID-19, JUST TO END UP LETTING ME IN ANYWAY BECAUSE I WAS DOING NOTHING WRONG. I hope this is truly a learning moment for the employees at this Trader Joe's location. Unfortunately I will not be returning because I felt embarrassed and discriminated against due to my mental health issues and need for, Gage, my service dog with me. I've always had really good experiences at this Trader Joe's! For the most part it's always top quality produce and they always have delicious and interesting items. This last trip though, as I was checking out the cashier totally was not careful with bagging / scanning my items, 100% roughly handling then (including eggs, and delicate flowers). He was an older gentleman who looked like a carpenter (based on his tool belt - esque accessories) and also looked like he did not want to be there. Legit asked if I wanted my flowers in a bag and when i said yes he threw them quickly in a bag and slammed them on the counter. Still giving 4 stars because I've been coming here for almost a decade and have never had an issue, and I don't need top quality service 100% of the time -- i understand Sunday afternoons can be busy, especially as someone who's worked at a grocery store before -- but it was so aggressive and nonchalant that it was like getting cold water splashed on my face because it's so unlike the usual service. read more

Although the location is outstanding and the parking situation can be a bit chaotic, I still am never turned off by venturing to this store. Don't be dissuaded into going thinking the parking situation is madness. The variety at this TJs is fabulous! I have been to a few a Trader Joes across the U.S. and I feel that this location has some of the best selection in the game. I frequently find things I cannot get anywhere else of for cheaper at the very least. I enjoy that there are fresh plants and cut flowers alike. I can keep fresh cut flowers and plants on my home for a reasonable price. The frozen foods are located in two off-center (to the right) aisles and you can find anything from Asian style frozen selections to appetizers and spinach pie. Their frozen vegetables and seafood selections are pretty great and a good deal. Also along those frozen items are crackers, cookies, and snacks abound. I believe there is come thing for everyone. One thing which I adore is that TJs claims that none of their produce has GMOs EVER! This is highly prized in my world and I think should be the standard in all grocery stores. I enjoy that they have a great selection of organic produce and canned/boxed/bag goods. Prices here for produce and goods are cheaper than other local stores which I appreciate. The beer and wine selection is pretty great and reasonably priced. The selection of cheeses and meat and pre-packaged meals is pretty phenom. You can't go wrong with a packaged salad and you can doctor them and add anything you like (I suggest avocado for some of them) for a quick and easy lunch. This is truly one stop shopping. I'm grateful that This Trader Joes is in the area and offers an alternative to the run-of-the-mill shopping experience. read more

The Trader Joe's in Nashua is the best TJ's I've been to in the chain regionally and it's close to my home too! This store is much bigger than the former Tyngsboro store and this store also sells wine and beer (not all locations do) with plenty of microbrews here. The aisles here seem wider here and I can usually find what I'm looking for. I generally shop here for snacks, oatmeal, produce, pasta, ready to eat salads, mochis, frozen pizza, meatballs, rice bowls, Greek yogurt, green tea, and other specialty items. Also, like other TJ stores, the food sample booth in the back of the gives me a chance to try out interesting products, which sometimes influence me to buy the product. I bought some TJ's frozen mac & cheese on a recent visit after the sampling. They also have a wine tasting table as well. The checkout process is quick and friendly since they have several registers open at the same time, especially on the weekends when I usually shop here. read more

Everything I've bought has been great and the store policy is " if you don't like it just bring it back" I have done this and they just take it back! Great policy! The wine selection is great and Trader Joes has it's own line. Organic and non Organic and it's very reasonably priced! You can usually buy a bottle of T-Joes organic wine for $5.99! Recent convert to TJ's from MB. So glad I made the switch! Been extremely happy with everything I've bought here. Produce, meats, frozen, beer and specialty items. TJ's prices are comparable to MB if not more inexpensive at times. Minus one star for two bouquets of ranunculus I bought here. We really like TJ's. We do most of our regular food shopping at one of the big stores, but we always visit TJ's for special stuff. The workers are friendly, helpful and numerous. The 'sample lady' at the rear of the store always has good stuff. The wine sampling is nice too. So what special stuff do we regularly get here? Coffee beans, pumpkin bar mixes, wines, cheeses, apple and pumpkin butters, nuts and their frozen pastry dough. And of course sometimes we can't resist buying whatever the sample lady is sharing! Amazing. I feel like this is one of the smaller Joes I have been to but really enjoyed my time here. Busy, even for a Sunday night, we walked through in 20 minutes and found almost everything we needed. The cashier was very good about finding what i could not find and ran and got it and came back almost immediately. Could easily be the best shopping experience of my life. Of the amazing things that i got here, seaweed snacks, kale snacks, cayanne spiced mango and Ginger beer. We do our basic grocery shopping at Market Basket and supplement it with occasional trips to Trader Joe's. I hear people who haven't shopped at TJ say they don't because they have the impression that it is too expensive . It generally isn't. Some rare varieties of produce are more expensive than some people are willing to pay. That shouldn't shape one's entire perception of the store. Even if you are the kind of person who buys General Mills foods in bulk, try Trader Joe's and try some new foods with more flavor for a change. The employees are always friendly and helpful, the customer service is fantastic! If you are looking for foods without an ingredient, such as gluten, you can go to the customer service desk and request a list of the processed foods at the store that don't have that ingredient. All of the desserts are great, we've tried them all! The employees eat the food that the store carries and they are happy to make suggestions based on their own experience. Personally, we don't drink and don't need the alcohol section. To my husband and I, it is wasted space in the store that could be used for products that we are interested in. To us, the best thing about the store is the large selection of classy luxurious foods and beverages that we can pick up for social events and as Christmas stocking stuffers. We buy plenty for ourselves too! Extra credit! I had difficulty using a TJs product. I was put in direct contact with the owner of the company that makes the product for TJs. We discussed the issue by email and on the phone. The company was genuinely interested in learning from my problem and is giving me the product to try again (I didn't return it for a refund to avoid wasting food). Since the big move I have mixed emotions. They don't sell any more than they did before except beer and wine. The isles are a bit wider and that is a huge plus. I like TJ, I hate the parking. It is a mess. I love TJ's food. Their brands are great and very well priced. My biggest complaint is the lack of NONGMO marking or foods. I can't tell what has been genetically modified and what has not. I shop for the bulk of my foods where I know what i am getting. I have never been disappointed shopping here in the Nashua store (Daniel Webster Highway).....Every employee bends over backwards to help the shoppers...I know firsthand, lol....I go with my list of what I need to make fabulous recipes from their website that I print out...never once has any employee just told me what aisle or pointed to where something is I need....they always take me directly to the product...even when I say they didn't have to...is that something else or what??? I shop there once a week or so.....great prices, fabulous selection of cheeses and wines.....It's always a pleasurable experience, which is unusual when food shopping.....I'd like to especially mention two of their employees who seem to help me very often.....Edward and Wendy (do not know their last names, sorry!)...I wish I could buy everything I need there so I didn't ever have to go to a big supermarket, but I wouldn't change a thing about the store....Also, with this pandemic that's been going on for10 months now, I truly only go out for necessities (am retired and don't mind cooking/baking most of my life away)....only go to TJ's and local supermarket...TJs has strict covid rules so I never feel nervous shopping there..they are doing everything possible to prevent customers and their own people to getting the virus, and I so appreciate it!!! I sure can't wait till it's over though so I can start enjoying their free food/wine samples they gave out until this pandemic......It must be a great place to work for, ecause I've never seen a frown on any of their staff, ever....... read more

I love love LOVE Trader Joes's. I am a very cautious consumer and I read the labels of EVERYTHING I buy because I refuse to ingest the harmful chemicals and other additives that companies are putting in food these days. TJ's has so many choices and I very rarely have to put down an item because of its ingredients (with ice creams as an exception). Service here is GREAT, samples are fabulous, and here is a list of my favorite products to date: Chocolate Gluten-Free Cake, Pumpkin Pie, Spearigus Risotto, Teriyaki Asian Tofu Noodle Bowl, Microwave 4-Cheese Macaroni and Cheese, Chia Seeds, Lemon Scones, Veggie Masala Burgers, Chocolate Mochi, Organic Milk, Coconut Milk, Almond Milk, Peach Soy Yogurt, Organic Baby Spinach, Multi-Grain Crackers, Freeze-dried Strawberries, Pumpkin Butter, California Veggie Burgers, Strawberries, Blackberries, Dry Roasted Almonds, Candied Pecans, Trail Mix... I'm sure there is more! I don't like grocery shopping much, but I always enjoy going to TJ's! I am a vegetarian as you might've guessed from the above list. Can't believe I haven't already written this, but we're fans of TJ's in so many ways. Yes, we most likely hit MB for most of our needs on a typical basis, but TJ's is the option we like to exercise for special needs, usual needs that happen to be special because they're TJ stuff, and then to supplement our usual humdrum lives. The prices are usually excellent! Not overpriced like Whole Foods at all, or even like Shaw's or Hannafords. How they keep their prices so reasonable, for the quality they offer, is a wonder. The prepared foods section is always reliable for Lunch ideas or to have in the fridge for work or after long days when you just can't muster up the cooking mojo. The meat is can't miss: We will buy TJ means for special occasions, they're that good. The marinated meats are usually can't miss. Tender and flavorful. The veggies are well-picked; fresh, and so tasty. The TJ bag of avocados are the best avocados ever. They're so plump and meaty and flavorful, and such a great deal. We love the nut selections, too. Also, the cheeses are fun and always a good selection. The milk prices are good. I would much prefer to shop at TJs and get what I want for the decent price than shop at Shaw's or Hannaford's and have to dust off the jars of whatever and then pay too much for them. There is no close-dating at TJs, which I really appreciate. They have so many wonderful ethnic specialties in the frozen section, or in the rice and sauces, that you can't help but become inspired by them. I love the staff, too; the employees are obviously invested in the success of their store, and everyone has a great attitude.
