I'm done with Market Casket and am now doing the bulk of my food shopping at Aldi, Target, and…read moreTrader Joe's. This store - like so many other locations- has gone downhill since Artie T. was ousted. Market Basket apparently has no problem replacing familiar American born employees with third world illegals. This isn't so much a problem if they are merely stocking shelves or produce (unless someone can't find something and asks them where it is) but they are now being put on register and bagging duties. Getting someone to bag your items using some common sense was already rare with the American high school kids trying to do it and always failing miserably (I've had my cut watermelon crushed by heavy items) but now they're putting people that can't communicate at all in these roles. I put my frozen/cold items on top of my insulated reusable bag and put this all on the conveyor belt first and the Asian girl that was bagging proceeded to pile other non-cold items into the bag...when I tried to explain to her "just the cold items" she then proceeded to remove the cold items along with the room temperature ones. I wanted to scream. And the kid bagging turned around to help her finish the job (she was extremely slow) and despite seeing two more of my reusable bags right there he grabbed a paper bag and put the rest of my food in that. C'mon, how much common sense does it take to BAG? Also produce prices have really gone up to the point of outrageousness. I can get produce just as good at other stores for way less and I can bag my food the way I want it so it doesn't get ruined. The greed of the Demoulas sisters is going to be the final coffin on this chain and maybe it's just as well.

I will never shop at Market Basket again! The quality of food has decreased significantly over the…read morepast several months! I'm confident it'll only get worse as a result of the poor decision to fire Artie! #BoycottMarket

I've seen so many molded fruits/veggies on the shelves, and as well and brought home a number of things that molded the next day. I've gotten to the point that I've been writing companies as well when I've seen their molded produce, because it's actually just ridiculous at this point. My mom visits from out of town and independently offered up the same observation about this whole foods without prompting, as have a number of friends in the area. I also find that their selection generally is pretty lacking for anything beyond some basics. Maybe that's just a reflection of the size store or location?

With very little regard for its customers, the Whole Foods store in Andover, Massachusetts, got rid…read moreof the small area where people could sit and grab a quick bite (photo on left) and instead replaced it with a tall table pushed against the window and in a direct way of heavy traffic of shoppers pushing their carts not only to the 2 exit doors but also to the table where people are sitting at (photo on right). The new sitting area is positioned right in between 2 large exit doors, which is extremely cold and drafty. After speaking to some of the staff that attend to the hot & cold bars about the mediocre quality and quantity of options, we were told, "Our bars are not big sellers." We replied, "Don't you think your indifference & lack of care has something to do with it?" Clearly this particular Whole Foods doesn't respect & value its customers judging by the new sitting arrangement and the very poor upkeep of its hot & cold bars. Whole Foods in Andover doesn't just take your Whole paycheck, they also serve Whole containers of disrespect.
