I used to never frequent this market because the prices were always higher than Market Basket but since the Pandemic started Market Basket prices have surpassed prices at this and other markets so I found a new appreciation for Hannafords as well as Shaws. Their quality of meat and produce surpasses Market Basket and everything is such a nice layout in the store. read more

This feels like an older and more "basic" Hannaford in that it doesn't seem to have anything fancy. But for what it does have, it's clean and well stocked. The produce department felt a little smaller than what I've experienced in other Hannafords, and a few of the aisles seemed a little cramped for 2-way traffic. But other than that, if I lived locally, I'd certainly shop here. One thing that has me scratching my head related to some older, unofficial, travel-related websites which indicated that this was one of the 3 Hannafords in the state of Massachusetts which was allowed to sell liquor. That's certainly not the case now. So I don't know what the backstory is. Maybe they used to and dropped it, or maybe they were one of the stores to receive the option and never implemented it. In any case, if you do want to purchase liquor while you're here, go to the store across the street. read more

Prices have recently become MUCH MORE competitive with Market Basket-- but right now I'm sending a review for their bakery... GREAT SERVICE at Hannaford Bakery in Dracut! The treats in the refrigerated case in front quickly sells out, and the bakery person has actually offered to order extra for the next delivery just to make sure I get my favorite one :) GREAT PRICE TOO! I ordered a cake for my child, and they didn't upcharge me for the toy that came on top of it like Market Basket's done in the past. read more

Please retrain your employees on customer service. I was treated very poorly by one of your cashier, she was very rude on answering a question and had an attitude. Automatically assumed I couldn't afford to rent a rug cleaner... because when I asked for the price her response to me was "it is VERY expensive" .. I was renting a rug cleaner for my aunt and wanted to know if they can used her I.D instead of mines because she was the one that will be using the machine..I just wanted to pay with my credit card....The cashier proceeded to talks to me with a very condensending tone and insinuated that I'm stupid when I was trying to show her my I.D ..she comes and said..."that's an ID money isn't loaded in there" ..I was completely taken back by it...I choose to ignore her...once I paid for the stuff ...she decided to insult me one more time by telling I need to returned the machine completely clean and gives me a look like if I was a dirty. I do have the receipt with date and name of this sad individual. Please have a staff meeting on how to treat people with respect. You don't want your company having a bad reputation because of one ignorant employee. Thank you for your time. read more

I usually like this store, but today I am disappointed by paying almost 8 bucks for a severely undercooked rotisserie chicken (pictures attached), we had to give it to the dog as we did not wanna take any chances with it.....the funny thing is that mine was the most cooked of the natural or organic chickens, I know because I took quite a while picking it....please cook your chicken properly as this could literally breed problems read more

Have to be the strangest super market. Their parking lot is always full in nashua. You go inside, very few people in there. Their prices are enought to scare anybody away. But they have good produce, fish and seafood. Would I shop there every week, no I would not. read more

Service was terrible. They only had 2 registers open for more than 14 items. I decided to use the self service and had to go find an associate to clear an error. Apparently the flashing red light didn't tip them off that there was an issue. I had a similarly disappointing experience at the deli - where they had 2 people to handle the deli and the seafood counter. At least the butcher counter was unattended - so I didn't even think of wasting more of my time. Where was all the staff??? read more

It seems that if you do not use (or freeze immediately) their meat (specifically chicken breast or ground turkey) within 2 days of purchasing it goes bad. The sell by date is usually days away so not sure if they are dating their packaging incorrectly. We have had this happen on enough occasions now to be taking our business to Market Basket. Nothing worse than getting dinner ready and having a sour smell smack you in the face when you open the package!!!! Shouldn't have to freeze chicken you are going to use within a day or so. As I say if it was once or even twice it would be understandable but it's too often now. read more

There has been a bird trapped in the Dracut Hannaford store for "days" (according to staff). When I alerted staff about the bird, they said it "happens all the time" and "eventually" would be exterminated. I think this is horrible! First of all, this is disappointingly inhumane. Why can't the bird be captured with a live trap and released? I contacted animal control in hopes of saving the poor thing. Also, it's also totally unsanitary to allow a live bird to fly free in a food store where there is exposed food everywhere. Management should take care of this problem IMMEDIATELY and HUMANLY and take steps to make sure birds don't fly into the store. Comon Hannaford, you're better than this! read more

I can't believe I'm reviewing a grocery store, but here goes. My review is specific to this particular location. I like the Hannaford chain much better than Market Basket, but my main gripe for this location is they often do not have what I'm looking for. Almost every single time I go, they don't have one of the main things that I'm looking for. Maybe I just have weird tastes, I'm not sure--but I've never really experienced this problem at other major grocery stores, including Hannafords in other locations. This one is physically a little bit smaller than the one in Tewkbury, so that's probably why it has slightly less selection, but man it's annoying. Don't get me wrong, if you're a normal person, you will find 95% of the stuff on your shopping list here. But in my case, I always have to then make a trip to a second store to get that last item or two. And every time I get to the counter, the nice girl asks me, "Did you find everything you were looking for?", I lie and pretend I did. read more

Today's visit to Hanaford in Dracut was good as usual. However, visiting during the day is nicer if you can do it because I had excellent treatment at the deli department and at checkout due to less traffic. The people working were very nice and helpful in each area I visited. Usually the pharmacy is pleasant and time efficient. I believe someone is paying attention to us more and this is how to truly improve a business. Keep it up!!! read more
