Zero star for Durian I bought it 3 times(2 twice last year and 1 this year) in a row since i haven't go back to Thailand and hope to get good one but nope! 1st time is good, 2nd time is rotten and this time is all white. This is my to go for Asian stuff but lately not good. I understand they won't know what inside look like but whoever sold this durian for them have to take a responsible for selling not ready durian right?. It was $13.99 a pound and the one i bought today cost $75 so i just waste $75 for nothing? I call the store and the answer they gave me was " We not response for durian, we don't know how is the inside. Everyone buy it and they are good" they told me to "Don't buy it again" and laughing!! what you laughing at? Customer lose the money. read more

Racist people I walked up to the cashier. She doesn't even look at me the whole time she rings stuff up. She grabs my card out of my hand and swipes it on her machine without showing me the total then I tell her thank you she looks away. While speaking lady next to her laughing. $60 after this I'd rather take my business anywhere else disrespectful people here. I got a few snacks while I was in here and I noticed three of the little snacks I got says to keep frozen after I purchased it realizing it was left on the countertop and it was warm and tased spoiled. This should be reported to the health department. read more

I moved from Lowell to Tewksbury about 4 years ago but I still go to Bangkok market to buy groceries to make my Asian dishes. They have a variety of fresh fruits options from mangos, mangosteen, rambutan, jackfruit, longan, lychee, and many more depending on the season. They have a large selection of canned Asian products that I can never get in Tewksbury. The location is convenient for me because it is off Route 3. I saw a couple of reviews about moldy fruits or vegetables...Do you guys not check your produce before purchasing or check your refrigerator settings? I know that if you have a high humidity and high temperature setting on your fridge it will grow mold onto your fruits or vegetables. Also, people complain about their customer service...Get your Karen butt out of here. These are immigrant workers that fled from a third world country. They dealt with far worst situations than to answer your dumb questions on whether the the fruit is sweet or not. Just buy one and try it out and then buy more if it is good. Anyways enough with my rant. I enjoy shopping here because of the convenience of having a variety of Asian products, offer fresh fruits/vegetables, and meats. read more

My family comes here all the time dating back to who knows how long. After all these years, they've never disappointed and managed to stay consistent for decades, surviving countless other local grocers that's come and gone. Looking at their track record, I think there's a reason why... It's been a long overdue review so here it is. Here are my top reasons why they get 5 stars: - This place gets BUSY! When a place is busy, it tells me everything I need to know like the fact its going to stay fresh since perishables are cleared and restocked. If you want to avoid the crazy rush, then I suggest coming in on the weekdays before the lunch hour, otherwise it can get chaotic. - They maintain and keep the PRODUCE FRESH. I don't ever recall having any issues with anything rotting on me. If you're looking for a bargain, you can always rely on the DAILY FRUIT SALES outside the front of the store. I've seen some crazy deals you wouldn't believe could happen but somehow they do it. - They also have FRESH MEATS. Everytime I stop by I see their staff packing them daily which is very assuring. The turnover rate must be high which is probably why they can maintain its freshness. That's what you want to see in the meats section. - Their store is FULLY STAFFED which is a good sign because you can always find someone to help you out. They may not speak perfect english or even Khmer but there is good intent behind it. - I don't know how they do it but, their shelves are always FULLY STOCKED and I rarely find myself having to make an extra stop at a different store to pick something else up. - They're LOCAL, CAMBODIAN OWNED, and FAMILY OPERATED. I also think it's second generation. I'm all for supporting local businesses. - FREEBIES. Spend a certain amount and they'll throw in a freebie. How nice is it to come home and find an extra bottle of fish sauce :) - It's CLEAN. If you go in early or before they close, they do a pretty good job cleaning the place up. To summarize, Bangkok Market is as reliable and consistent as it gets. From the glorious days of the Clinton era, post 9/11, housing crisis recession, blizzards, to the pandemic, it doesn't matter. You can expect them to be there to open up shop. And seeing that they've transitioned to a second generation of business, I don't see this changing anytime soon. In addition, when I go in there's so much life and energy. The owner knows everyone. If you're new to the area, introduce yourself and they'll welcome you to the neighborhood. Bangkok Market is where it's at. read more

To day i went to the maket I saw something they have labels $ 0.99. I got some and give to the cashier and tell him i got that like $1. But the guy said " i cant sell you 1$". I dont mide but the way he said that im stupid. I think this market keep lieing about how much money people going to pay them. Understand people can make mistakes some time but he not even say sorry about that proplem. He said someone did that. like there customers make the lable $1 people working in the market didn't know about that. read more

Came to shop, out of the blue my son needed a restroom and very badly. They wouldn't allow him to use theirs, he literally went in his pants due to having to go abruptly and they were too rude and selfish to allow him to use theirs which I know they have for employees! I hope this happens to you while your out so you know what it feels like! If someone needs a restroom I get it's not for public but when a child needs to go that bad use your brain people and have some kindness!!! Wouldn't have killed too to allow him to go. Not going back here again! Rude people. I have other places we can get Thai goods from. These people are plain heartless! Looks like we will have a case in court also. https://www.crohnscolitisfoundation.org/get-involved/be-an-advocate/restroom-access Not only is what you people did heartless, it is also illegal when a customer has an emergency you need to offer an employee restroom! Child with a sensitive stomach has an accident due to your ignorance! Adding to this is seeing the amount of rotting fruits there was alarming, this can happen at any store but to the extent it was seen here should be a hazard! read more

Not even one star if I can ( that evening one of the fat guy holding his infant was Very rude to yelling at costumer if you don't want people's to touch or choose the banana in the box then put your fucking sign (fat guy ) I'm here to buy food I do not ask you for free remember that I don't care who you are but you should do better service all my family won't step on this rude people, at this store never again I usually spend not Less then $200 but that day he yelled at me just because he dont want me to choose the banana I almost walk out with nothing , also when you check out be careful with your recipe because one of the lady who is the fat guy wife's very tricky and cheat count your stuff before you leave this Bang kok store they double charge or she drop your expensive food away and keep charging you . I don't recommend this place at all to me here in Lowell has a lot Khmer grocery to support not only this store, read more

It is what it is: an Asian market with a decent supply of predominantly Thai and Vietnamese food, okay meats and highly variable produce in a shabby setting. Decent pricing, special $1 deals on selected veggies, good sales on rice. Caveat emptor. Smart shoppers will know to use their eyes and their common sense when purchasing perishables. If you are expecting Whole Food's or Wilson Farm's level of quality, you're in the wrong place! I appreciate the fact that I can save a few bucks by purchasing smaller quantities of herbs, veggies, even chicken parts to make stock, whereas other stores insist that you buy larger quantities than you might actually need. It's a good stop for a penny pinching cook. read more

Great verity of grocery. Many exotic/ Asian grocery fruit options. Everyone is friendly, when you get to know them

This place has really changed over the years. I like it a lot better now with all the new products and equipment. The cashiers are pretty nice to you if you go earlier in the day, but when it gets busy they are more sensitive. Other than that 5 stars from me. Hollaaa read more

Bangkok Market is dirty and only semi-organized. It gets a whole three star rating only because it's the biggest Asian store in the Lowell area (might be a bit bigger than Batambang Market) and it has a few things the others don't have. It's good if you need something and don't want to drive too far. Otherwise, H-Mart in Burlington is much better and so much cleaner. read more

Found out about this place through my wife's friend. When we arrived, limited parking, but luckily front door space was open. Found fantastic limes, much larger than usual and a decent price. Other items not so decent a price, so know your prices! Plenty of variety, but meat selection limited. Suggest the canned mushrooms for canned goods - a good selection. Will possibly return but far from our house (20 miles away), and the wife thinks prices expensive. Worth checking out. read more

Full shelves. Fresh produce. Great prices! They recently did some renovating and the place is a lot more open. Right on the main road with plenty of parking. read more

If you're south Asian and missing those yummy tropical fruits that you grew up with, then this is the place to go. They carry fresh south East Asian produce and fruits. Rambutan, mangosteen, fresh durian, mata kucing/Longan, etc. The fresh durians are pretty pricey but if you're a durian lover you'd go for them and they are of good quality. Highly recommend. read more

My first and last trip to that market. While at the checkout counter I noticed the clerk looking at the noodles I had purchased ,eight packages of fresh noodles in all. Thinking nothing of it I drove home. While I was putting the noodles in the refrigerator it was apparent why she was looking at a few of the packages....THEY HAD MOLD on them. Being in a hurry I just threw eight packages in not thinking that they needed to be checked. The next day we started cutting up the Napa Cabbage that was purchased there and that was rotten too. These small stores keep perishable goods as long as they can and sometimes too long. The prices may be fair but if you calculate the cost of unusable goods I might as well shop at a major grocery store with impeccable quality control. read more

I try to avoid this store. It's always overcrowded. People do not know how to form a line and sometimes the cashiers/owners are a bit rude. Not to mention, the store is dirty, produce is thrown everywhere and the meat area is disgusting. I usually just drive to Burlington and go to Hmart or I'll go to the new asian grocer/jewelry store called k-mart? Lol...that might not be the name but its on westford street by hong kong market. read more

No stars had chosen..because this store has the worst customer service! They was rude to my mom! My mom had a question about banana if she can just buy some not the whole bunch!! They goes don't do that it's bad for our business..so my mom say she never heard of it before! Then she walk to register to pay some stuffs..she asked one of the worker there if she can get a box of noodle..the worker answer her in a rude way too..! So I told my mom drop everything LET'S go! They just lost some business!! Never again we step on the store! read more

Package veggies are sometimes moldy such as chili peppers, overpriced on some products such a pomegranate (2 for $5) there, while market basket is only 2 for $4. Also the pomegranate was bad when opened. Cashiers won't let you pick and choose fruits that's sold by the carton, some were rotten so I'm definitely not gonna spend money on a few rotten ones. Also I noticed some people get freebies when they spend a certain amount, like a bottle of fish sauce but we never get anything for free even when we spend close to $100. Maybe I don't speak the language but my husband does. Anyways, just avoid unless you're desperate. Staffs can be rude, food can be moldy and overpriced, and they pick and choose who they give freebies to. I switched to Hong Kong market cause the lady there is nice and she made sure we get free stuff when we spend a certain amount at her store. Courtesy goes a long way. read more

This Supermatket has a lot of vegetable and produce for $1.00. Either it's $1.00 that is already packaged or $1.00 per pound. You would have to know and choose which are good buys and which are not. For example ginger, fresh lemongrass, pad Thai or pho dried noodles , even the fresh one here are lower priced than other Asian stores. I was looking for ingredients to make Mapo tofu and they didn't have one ingredients but then again this is a Thai grocery store with a good variety of spices and sauces from generic companies but no brand such as Lee Kum Kee line of products. I generally buy the generic complanies anyways except for those hard to find items then Lee Kum Kee would certainly have eg preserved black beans. So my take on it is if you need basic pantry dry noodles or fresh noodles veggies, basic spices and sauces this is the store! They have huge quantities of ginger, lemon grass, limes 7 for $1 wow.. Lime anyone? I even saw Balut and chicken eggs. Great store! read more

My credit card was over charged and store takes no responsibility for any checkout errors on their part-even with a receipt in hand. I guess the phrase "Customer Service" do not apply to this asian store. Customer beware!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

One of the best ethnic grocery stores in the area. Sales are year-round, the produce and meats are always fresh, and the store offers a wide selection of foods. The store could be a little cleaner..but I can't complain--It ranks pretty high compared to the Asian grocery stores I've seen. read more
