They close early every-night and just ignore customers outside. Got there at 9:30 and doors were locked

Wonderful store that's been on the corner of Shasta and mammoth Rd for more than 30 years. Awesome staff, and the DD is the best around

Why can't we have a Market Basket with a huge ass parking lot like this closer to my neck of the…read morewoods? Seriously, it's like this parking lot was specially designed for introverts. See, they have this one section on the side of the building, complete with a marked pedestrian crossing leading right up to the entrance. Meaning....perfect expedited departure route for said introverts. If I can escape a crowded grocery store in mere seconds, they automatically get all the stars. All jokes aside though, the rest of the store is as you'd expect. Selections may vary and all that, but....one interesting thing I noticed; whilst there's no fresh butcher counter, there is a fresh seafood counter. Not to worry though. The packaged meats are still Grade A quality. So, while I wouldn't personally go out of my way just to visit this particular location, I'm here to tell the locals that it's doing the Market Basket reputation justice. MB in Londonderry gets 5 Grade A packaged Delmonicos out of 5.

I've always had very good luck with the fresh deli services as well as all the meals they make they make it easy cause sometimes they marked them down and I take salad and stuff to work in my nursing job and they still taste really fresh after two days. Most of the stores now have been modified. We have been fresh and new so you don't have that old feeling.

Hannaford Supermarket - Water refill station

Yes, friends, this is it. The third and likely final Hannaford location nearest me with a water…read morerefill station. This machine can be found on the far left corner entrance area. Only slightly annoying thing about this store is where they decided to place their restrooms. It might just be due to me being so used to going to the Hudson location. But it's not every day that Hannaford places their restrooms on the far right corner toward the front of the store. I dunno. Perhaps they were emulating themselves after Shaw's in the Derry plaza. ¯\_( ° °)_/¯ One last anecdote I'd like to highlight is their parking lot design. Not all Hannafords have this. But there's a section of parking lot on the side which leads to another exit way that leads directly up to NH-102E. Complete with its own cart receptacle. It's just like the setup they have at their respective Market Basket and I'm all for it! So, now that I have secured 2 alternative locations to refill water from, I can rest assured that regardless of how many months/years/decades it takes Hudson to repair their broke ass machine, my family and I will not die of dehydration anytime soon. And I'm giving Hannaford in Londonderry 5 conveniently accessible water refill stations out of 5.

I wish I had a hannaford closer to my Boston location but when I am in New Hampshire I will be sure to return. I stocked up on sardines while i was there.

I like shopping at this newer Wal-Mart Supercenter in Derry, which opened in 2012. I can find most…read moreeverything I need to buy at good low prices under one roof. The former much smaller Wal-Mart was located down the hill across NH 28, which is now an Ocean State Job Lot. This 24 hour Wal-Mart Supercenter is pretty clean and the staff here seem friendly. This store has a similar atmosphere and layout as the Manchester (Gold St) and Hooksett locations with concrete floors (warehouse-like), food market area to the left, apparel/jewelry/housewares/furnishings in the middle, photo lab/books & magazines/electronics/office supplies in the back, outdoor merch/automotive in the back right, toys section/garden center on the right side of the store and a Subway in the front of the store. Similar to Manchester (Gold St), the pharmacy/health & beauty things/cosmetics sections at this store are located in the front right side of the store. The pharmacy in the Hooksett and Concord stores are located across from the food market section near the center of the store. I've bought many items from the Derry Wal-Mart Supercenter including big picture frames, magazines, fresh produce, salads, Lawry's seasoned pepper, cold drinks (beer & wine), personal hygiene items, OTC meds, toys, wipers, spray paint, calculators, movies, blank media, shoe laces, jogging shorts, and many other things. This Wal-Mart can get very busy at times and the checkout lines may get long including the self-checkout lanes. They will usually page all available associates to the registers when it gets this way.

You're probably wondering why a guy who lives in the east side of Nashua would come all the way…read morehere for a Hannaford. Only one reason: water. Okay, hear me out for a second. But we recently made the transition from small water bottles (I know, I know) to the 5 gallon refillable jugs. So far as I know, this is one of the only Hannafords close to me that offers a *mostly* straightforward machine that dispenses water in minutes AND....accepts all forms of payment, to include NFC. The reason I say "mostly straightforward" is because if this is your very first time using the water dispensary, payment can be a bit confusing. I must've spent 10 minutes trying to understand how to get the thing to accept payment. As I understand it, you apparently have to scan your phone for NFC payments TWICE. Once to get the machine to ask you to make a selection (pointless), and again to...ya know...actually pay for the water. Could've just kept it basic to the latter, but...whatevs. Btw, the other thing I should mention is that this is totally worth the drive, considering you only pay around two and a half dollars for every 5 gallons as of the time I'm writing this review. Other than that, probably my least favorite thing about this Hannaford is the parking lot and the way its entrances and exits are arranged. Not only is it co-located with a McDonald's (haven't seen this before), but the parking entrance is almost half a block away from the store. In other words, if you had to make a left turn onto Derry road, you'd have to use the exit with the traffic lights for a protected left. Also, having a drive thru right next to your grocery store is pretty cumbersome, but...maybe that's just me. It's your typical Hannaford, only with a really neat and convenient water dispensary located just inside the front entrance to your immediate right. I think every grocery store should have one of these, but I ain't the mayor of Nashua. Hannaford gets 4 conveniently placed water dispensaries out of 5.

Hannaford to Go is a service we have been very much acclimated to during this time of social…read moredistancing. I placed an order at this store for the first time and came for my regular appointment time. They don't have a drive up area or signage. Just two spots on one side of the parking lot with the Hannaford-To-Go signs. Interesting. I called up the store as there were no buttons to press or numbers listed to call when you arrived. I was told they are not setup for curbside pickup and you need to go inside to get your items. What the heck is this? The staff tried to have me find a way to come in or have someone come in. That could not and would not be an option. After some discussion they came out to the car, took my credit card and went back into the store. Came out after running it and placed the groceries in the vehicle. This is NOT Hannaford-To-Go service as is the new norm and the website should state this BEFORE you place an order. Food we received was decent, watermelon was a bit gritty so not pleased there and the slices of Tiramisu were not impressive. Looked like a 4 year old cut them.
