I went over and I picked up a few and I had them in my hotel room, and they sure did not disappoint. The market has a variety of prepared foods at reasonable prices and great desserts. I grabbed a few snacks for the hotel room and that gave me an opportunity to see that the stock here is in excellent condition and the prices are good. Mr. Morgan Charles, Assistant Store Manager, is exceedingly helpful, kind, and customer-centric. People are stupid! Just back from #marketbasketnashua and saw many who think the mask does not cover their noses including employees! I complained to the front end supervisor who was going to tell the store manager. If it was me, I would fire all of them! Maybe the #nashuanh health department or #osha should make a surprise inspection. I don't want a side of COVID with my stuffing. Enforce what you need to enforce. There are so many other places to shop who may care more about public safety and that of their employees. There is a mask mandate in the state. Inside public spaces requires face masks. Oh they had plenty of staff which many establishments can't find yet lacking in customer service which is a reflection on mgt. I had 1 bagger, one cashier and "Michael"'who was complaining he had to train someone who had transferred to this store. 3 people and I had to help the bagger while 2 on the registers stood there and chatted. My heart went out to the bagger, I received my receipt and those two still stood there and did nothing to help. I don't think I've ever written a review about a grocery store before, but this one deserves it. I've been shopping here for a while bc I like how big the store is and the fact that it has a full bakery and butcher. Aside from that, they've gone way downhill since the start of covid. They are always out of at least a handful of the things you need. Without fail. And the employees are the most miserable employees I've ever encountered at a grocery store. Every time I'm in there, they are standing in the middle of the aisles or at the registers, complaining about how miserable they are and how terribly management treats them. This market basket is better than any other in Nashua. They have a lot of Walden farms products. I def go out of my way to come to this one just because the selection of everything is better! Wow! I come from the enviable land of Publix, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's and yet I was wishing I lived near this grocery store! Obviously there is someone on here posting reviews who has a grudge and is bringing down the rating of this store. That's too bad because I wouldn't want this one person's mission to sway anyone. Stop in and you'll see for yourself that this is a great grocery store. Bright, clean, well stocked and tons of options. The selection of baked goods were soooooo tempting. The prepared food area had barbecue and several different flavors of wings. The cheese case was also calling my name. Loudly. I was very impressed with the selections of gourmet cheese options. The sushi was even harder to pass up. The man behind the counter was taking and making special orders with a smile on his face. No request was out of the question. The already made options all looked fresh and filling. Multiple fresh fish options, lots of different toppings too. But I was on a mission........ the seafood counter. If I did indeed live nearby I would have bought some of the HUGE shrimp, scallops and salmon. Since I was in a hotel nearby I opted for a lobster. $7.99/lb and they steam and crack it for you. They take your lobster and put it in the steamer for 12 minutes. I walked around and grabbed the obligatory wine accompaniment and they called my name over the PA system to let me know my lobster was ready. Paid and walked 10 min back to my hotel. The lobster was still warm when I got back to my room. I'm here again next week and I know what I'm having for lunch/dinner - lobster....... if I can make it past the sushi and cheese a second time! read more

I went to the Nashua MB, and I was looking desperately for Chicken Breast. A very kind butcher asked "Can I help you" and I replied "Yes, I'm looking for chicken breast, I'll even take it with the bone and skin on." He found some for me with the bone on, and it was portioned too much more me. He offered to portion it out for me, and he came back with it half portioned. This was the kindest gesture I've ever had at any MB. This man disserves to be payed $5.00 more an hour. I only ever want to come back to this MB now. I'm confused why others would rate this store less than 5 stars. It has EVERYTHING you could possibly want; it has a great bakery and a deli that makes fresh pizza, hot and cold sandwiches, an assortment of chicken wings, etc. The sushi is always fresh. The meat section is so well stocked! The prices are less than what I find at Shaws. Even though the variety isn't always great they always have the best bang for your buck items there.

This is my favorite Market Basket, it seems to have the most variety. MB regular prices are the sale prices at other stores and the unit price at wholesale stores, in other words-the best in New England. Groceries, except food prepared in a way a restaurant would prepare them, are untaxed in New Hampshire. Many shoppers come from Massachusetts. I appreciate that cigarette purchasers have to wait in a separate line for that so they don't slow down the regular cash register lines. This store carries the Hippo weekly newspaper, some MBs don't. The discounted "day old" produce, dairy, meat, and bakery products are popular and sell well. I haven't had any problems with spoiled products in the 23 years I've shopped at MB. Except for some discounted produce. That's why it gets discounted. I eat what's edible and the rest goes into the compost bin. MB has an old fashioned charm that other large supermarkets lack. It can be a bit of a game trying to guess, "Where would Market Basket place the thing I'm looking for?" There's about 7 spots with nacho chips. If you can't find something it might be hanging over the beer cooler or check the lightbulb/dog food/insect repellent aisle. I like the weird aisle signs. No employee has ever been able to confidently define what, "New Age Beverages" are. The older MB stores have improper English on the signs, which would normally annoy me, but I do find Can Juice, Box Potatoes, Can Vegetables, Box Juice, and such headings funny. THE best place to get groceries. They tend to focus on local farms, and I love how the owner treats his employees. Those who say "WalMart/Aldi/etc" are better completely miss the point! The shelves look like they were stocked in a hurry. I've found old items behind new items more times than I can count. Items are just jammed where they fit sometimes even if it's the wrong spot. 90% of the employees at this store act like they HATE their jobs and want you to leave. If it wasn't less than a block from my home, I'd never come back because they make customers feel very unwelcome. It's mostly the people who have "1st year" on their name tags and appear to be in high school age. I wandered across the street from my hotel to this market after being directed here by my coworkers. Fellow crew members who rely on this place for fresh lobster tails. For a nominal fee, the fresh seafood market will steam a lobster for you, right in front of your eyes, and include dripping butter sauce. It's a grocery yes, but with lots of pre-made foods ready to eat and go. Very convenient for travelers such as myself that like ready made dinners and such. read more

New store is very nice! Now that the fanfare has died down a bit, its less congested. The employees actually seem a bit happier in the newer store, and the layout/extra space throughout the store is nice. Only complaint/observation is this past week I saw a MB Veteran Manager (name tag said 45+ years) grilling younger employees (guessing 16-17yr old kids) about what aisles things are in. He would have people brought to him and would just be questioning them in rapid fire style right in the middle of the store. Seemed a bit degrading and you could tell the kids were nervous, but I guess this is how MB enforces their employees know their stuff. Rarely does someone not know where something is. read more

Evidently, this store got a renovation recently, and it looks like it was worth it. As you enter on the right there's a very large dining area where you can eat and drink things you purchase at the cafe and food stations. The produce and frozen foods departments are huge as is the floral department, one of the largest I've even seen in a grocery store. The beer and wine aisle is the fanciest department in the store, including a display table (which makes sense since these are going to be high-profit items). The rest of the aisles, departments, and overall cleanliness are up to the standard I've come to expect in the newer or recently renovated Market Baskets. read more

The store is filthy but it can't be as bad as the Plaistow one but it's still filthy, very disrespectful employees Ive reporting numerous employees for nasty behavior I just recently saw both cashier and bagger disrespect an older lady because she couldn't make up her mind so they started laughing then the bagger impatiently asked the women firmly if she wanted this item to me that's just no. I have been a fan of Market Basket for many years. Unfortunately, I have found, after shopping here regularly, that they have horrible meat and produce. It is always near spoiled - don't expect it to last long. I have even had the clerk noticed they I had picked up spoiled meat on more than one occasion. For non perishables it is a regular market. The meat and produce may be poor but the staff is amazing. I have never dealt with one employee that wasn't friendly or helpful. read more

This was the most ridiculous store I've ever been in. I live in Boston, but I'm from New York, which is where my license/identification card is from. I was on a road trip to a friends house in NH, probably 30 minutes from this market basket. My friends head into the market basket (two of them from NY) and I head into the liquor store directly next door to get liquor. I had no trouble purchasing there. Afterwards, I go into market basket to purchase beer, which was denied because they said they don't accept New York State license, only NH and MA. They asked if I had a military ID or a passport, which they accepted. Neither of my friends from NY even got ID'd. Both of them are 4 years younger than I am (I'm 28). My friend next to me from MA asked if he could just buy it and he was also denied that chance. This happened at roughly 8pm on 9/16/16. Does anyone know if this law is legit? read more

Prices are better than other stores in the area. Occasionally they are out of the staples I buy. Good selection. Can get very busy at times. Checkout workers are quick and efficient, though a few could smile more and pretend to be friendly. All in all a good experience. read more
