I find the the employees to be very patient and polite at the Londonderry NH store. Always a smile. The store is always very clean (although currently under reconstruction), and the bathroom immaculate. Prices are slightly higher then other grocery stores on most things, but I never have to wait in line and the quality is fresh. They always have plenty of coverage. I refuse self checkout though and they have plenty of those lanes. I have always had a pleasant experience there. read more

This was my first and only time I will be using the Hannaford Pharmacy. I had a prescription sent there on a Thursday. I went into the pharmacy on lunch to make sure they had me in the system, to let them know I was paying out of pocket, and to make sure they had everything they needed from me. The girl behind the counter was super helpful, let me know they had to order the medication, that it would be in around 11am the next day, and also quoted me $129. Here it is, the next day, and 2pm rolls around and I haven't heard from the pharmacy, so I call. The man who answers the phone told me that they were having issues with my insurance. I replied that I already told the person yesterday I was paying out of pocket. He tells me the cost was going to be $320. I replied that I was already quoted $129. He goes quiet. . . . He tells me that he doesn't know how they got that price, and maybe I should go on Goodrx and find a pharmacy that will have a better price. . . . . This whole experience was a complete letdown. read more

This is where I do most of my grocery shopping. Formerly Victory, this Hannaford located in the Derry Meadows SC has what I need and it's very clean. They have a great selection including meats, seafood, produce, deli, bakery, meals to go, salad bar, sushi, flowers, pharmacy, wine, full organic and health foods section, and much more. If you just need milk, they keep some dairy near the front of the store for convenience. This Hannaford is a lot better and bigger than the Hannaford in my hometown in NY. The customer service here is very good with the staff stopping to ask me if I needed any help finding certain items and the registers fully staffed with baggers. The prices are competitive to the nearby Shaw's, but not the lowest compared to Market Basket (in Londonderry). NOTE: I've always paid cash here. read more

The layout of this store is literally a maze. I have been doing some selective shopping here (like many others) now that Market Basket is on strike. Prices are just well, high and not what I am used to compared to MB. Everything looked fresh, clean, and employees friendly, but again I will stick to the specials and be selective. read more

This was my favorite supermarket when it was a Victory and although it is not quite as nice it is still much better than other Hannaford locations. The store is clean and well stocked with a good variety of brands. Although not as inexpensive as any of the Market Basket locations it makes up for it with the variety of options available. There are two items that they carry that I can not easily find anywhere else. My favorite potatoe chip is Tri-Sum. Tri-Sum chips used to be cooked in beef tallow and although they no longer have this on their ingredient statement the chips maintain that unique flavor. This Hannafords also carrys a seaweed line that includes one of my favorite snacks dulse. This is a seaweed I used to gather as a kid from the rocky shores of Maine and it brings back a lot of childhood memories. read more

I was traveling and tired and didn't feel like going to a restaurant so I thought I would check out the hot bar at the grocery store. Their hot bar only contained chicken wings but OMG they have a chicken wing called the Everything wing and it is absolutely fantastic. As a traveler I also appreciated that you didn't need a store card to take advantage of their sales and there were some really good sales to stock me up on supplies I needed for my road trip read more

I love this store as I get a senior discount of 5% every Tues.; the staff is very attentive to my needs and if they don't have something most will ask you to write it in a slip and theyll find out why for you. Nice fresh fish and meat cuts. Also responded to my request for non-nitrate, nitrite meats! read more

Store is clean, great selection, not as nice as its surrounding stores. They are always understaffed. 9 out of 10 times, I have to bag my own groceries. Not a big deal, but the do offer that service. Won't stop me from going. read more

This store needs to be better managed, especially the deli department. No hair nets, lack of enthusiasm and generally poor quality. They all need to be serve safe and work on there appearance. Clean cut, and a focus on quality doesn't hurt. Seems like they roll out of bed like there starting a shift for Dunkin' Donuts. The old dude with the long hair always touches his cap in between serving you food. It's disgusting. They all need retraining on proper food handling and proper appearance/hygiene. Don't get deli cuts at night because there more focused on cleaning than serving the customers. This deli is gross! Never again! read more

This is my favorite Hannaford location. Of course they are struggling to survive - like the company as a whole. But, that's their own fault. The employees here are what makes the store - they are great. Very attentive to the customers. Rick in the pharmacy is great. However, they just don't know how to run a store or maximize sales per square foot. The bakery is a joke - even though it has a huge amount of space - it doesn't fill the area with bakery items. Instead, just a lot of vacant unused space. This company needs leadership real fast who can bring in a more competitive business model. SAD! read more

The layout is bizarre and finding things can be quite difficult, especially since there is no one ever in the aisles. I think the shelves stock themselves. It's decent for a last minute grab since they are open an hour later than Market Basket, but it's more expensive also. read more

They need to work on customer service over the phone and be a little more courteous if they're going to hire young people. Then they should be able to talk to the person and listen instead of asking over and over what do you mean what what are you looking for what's so hard about finding a price for 5 lb of red skin potatoes. read more

Hannaford has a weird reputation around town of being expensive, but I could list a hundred items that are pricier at Super Walmart, the beloved Market Basket, or Shaw's. They have great specials, and their store brand is of excellent quality. I am consistently surprised at the selection of store brand items they come out with too. They have coupon promotions quite often throughout the year, such as $10.00 off your next visit if you spend x amount of dollars, but I never remember to bring the coupons back even though they say I can bring them to the service desk after the fact with my receipt! They have a large organic section, and enough home and drug store stuff to save me a trip elsewhere. I have been going here for years and years and I know the aisles by heart. Foodies will be happy here, as they have lots of hard-to-find items and stock a good amount of international ingredients. Produce is very fresh, and the meats at their butcher counter are wonderful. They also have a recipe magazine that is free if you spend more than $25.00, and it not only has really great recipes, but also has ideas for unusual fruits and vegetables you've always wanted to try, but never knew how to. The cashiers and baggers always provide stellar service, and many of them have been familiar faces for years-so I am sure they treat their employees well. I am definitely not someone who enjoys shopping, but its nice to have a reliable, clean store right around the corner. read more
