Last night I went again and ordered a Fiddler cheeseburger with onion rings, firecracker shrimp, Fiddler fries and I went ahead and got chicken wings. If I get home I found that the chicken wings were cooked to perfection, the Fiddler cheeseburger was very good but they don't put condiments on it. They offer you packets but you have to put it on yourself so I whipped out some ole Duke mayonnaise and ketchup and did it myself, the firecracker shrimp were good and the Fiddler fries were mediocre. Overall the experience was good though and I was really impressed. By the way, the onion rings were fantastic. I think they make them there. They're themselves. They don't seem to be pre-breaded. I got there just as they opened at 4:00 and they got slammed almost immediately because it was a nice day on the lake and everybody was wanting something to eat. I'll be back. It was good.

Portions were generous, everything was hot, and the quality across the board was consistent. When you order a variety of items and every single thing hits, that says a lot. There are several restaurants in the Edgefield area that consistently deliver quality food and service. When I dine at places like the Pool Room or Mount Vintage, I know what to expect every time. Consistency and quality matter, especially in the restaurant industry. Unfortunately, on multiple visits to this restaurant, the food quality did not meet that same standard. I expressed this not to be disrespectful, but to offer honest customer feedback. My concern was simply that continued inconsistency in food quality can negatively impact any business long-term. I truly believe this restaurant may have been excellent in the past, and I also believe it has the potential to improve. Many diners-style restaurants serve outstanding food, and there's no reason this one couldn't as well with the right focus on quality and execution. The conversation was taken differently than I intended, which is unfortunate. The online ordering process is pretty complex, lol. First you place the order, then you get notified about whether or not your order was accepted. When you're denied, it's probably because they're sold out of the dish. If you're denied, you have to restart the online ordering process. The website doesn't update about what things are sold out. In the event that you're lucky and you get what you want, they call you to confirm. In turn, you send your money via cashapp or some other app that they accept payment from. I ended up getting an oyster po' boy and the "sock it to me" rice. Not my first choices but whatevs. The po' boy was fire, but it did have a lotttt of bread. I ended up not eating all the bread. The rice was ok. Something was off with the seasoning and the shrimp. Needed more seasoning, shrimp were over-cooked. If I went back to this restaurant, I wouldn't think to myself, "man I have to get the rice again". The service was good. They were nice enough.
