An update on service inside restaurant, if get here early like 7 on a Friday night you will get seated quickly. The downside is that depending on waiter/waitress you may be found waiting for any service 15 minutes upon sitting. We found out in person this exact flaw on the service staff. I'm really picky about my seafood and if I haven't really heard of a place, then it would take some convincing to try it. However, I was in town to visit my bf for her birthday and she loves this place. I am so glad she mentioned that we should go. The food, service and drinks were great!! Her and I had the catfish platter and it was awesome. The best thing about it was the fries!! I love some good fries!! Our other friend had a bag of shellfish. . .we shared some it was just as good. Found this place on line was rated highly for its food and service. Hubs got snow crab shrimp lobster tail combo. I got the same and we got king crab legs as well. Sea food was ok kinda wort the price but definitely not cooked well. Service wise we had Kayla and let me tell you. Amazing personality, hard to find many like her. She was patient and answered any and all questions. Drinks never ran drive and she consistently checked on us. Now the girls at the front. We're ready to go and I believe we're mad we came in. The seafood bag I ordered included one claw of crab legs, shrimp, and sausage. The sausage tasted weird. The crab legs were pretty good. I didn't care for the potatoes. The shrimp were good. Staff is very nice and helpful. If you want king crab legs don't go here. The last 2 times we went I wanted to order king crab legs but they took them off the menu because no one was ordering them and they were going to waste. Other than that the food is the bomb! Shrimp. Parking on a Saturday early evening. (5pm)...well, not so easy. Iimited parking for shared parking lot. Not too many accessible parking spaces either. I think the pricing is competitive, but not for the quality (lacking) and quantity. I ordered a combo of 1/2 lb crab leg (1cluster) the poor thing looked like it had been in a brawl. Battle scars and all + 1/2 lb shrimp. Not how many was in the bag. I recall eating about 7 and the others I threw away. 2 small potatoes and 1 half corn was in bag. I choose their wild sauce mild. . It was mild alright. Lacked flavor. $29. I won't be back. But I did trying a new restaurant (to me) and while I eat crab & shrimp, I rarely buy crab legs because I can get 2 1/2 clusters for under $16 from the store. Mine tastes better. I come here every time I visit South Carolina. The seafood is always incredibly fresh, and the portions are generous. I love the ambiance and the music they play. The waitresses are always very nice. It's much better than other seafood boil places I've tried in both Florida and South Carolina. I will definitely keep coming back. The prices are also much better than those in Florida. I created my boil with just sausage and crab legs. It came with corn and potatoes. I did the house seasoning with medium heat. I got it to go and I'm glad I did because this is the first place that had me licking my fingers! Everything was seasoned so well. My crab legs were tender and juicy. The sausage was great and the corn was sweet, I don't eat the potatoes. My friend ordered the fried tilapia basket with sweet potato waffle fries. She said the fries had no flavor but the fish was really good. I give this place an 11 out of 10 and will go back. I didn't have to wait long. The vibe: this place is bright, open, and most importantly, very clean! Most Cajun places I go to are very dark and dingy. I hate that. This place does a great job with the ambience. Not too loud, but the parking does seem like it could be a problem. The food: the food was cooked very well. Nothing was over cooked and the flavor was great. The Cajun fried rice was a very nice touch. I throughly enjoyed it. The portion size of the steamed rice was very good as well. I typically order 2, but this was perfect. The service: I ordered takeout so didn't really get the full experience, but from the take out, the hostess/server was great. Fast, friendly and very inviting to the space. The person I talked to on the phone was great as well. Got my order placed very quickly and they were able to answer whatever I needed. I don't live in the area. So another chain from a chain to a chain. The good: Coke products & a full bar. Drinks are not watered down & they serve on Sunday's in SC. Food: it's a chain with preselected sauces. They all need salt but it's assumed that they don't. White rice is served on a whole paper plate & is plentiful for $2. I tried the wild crab sauce & wasn't impressed. Prices are high as expected because we are in SC & seafood costs a solid buck. Service: THE REASON FOR THE 2 star review. We walk in & a typical teenager is sitting & looking at his phone. I've been to 3 "seafood in a bag" places in the Columbia Area, with this being my 3rd stop, and this was absolutely the best of the 3 (I have t tried crafty crab yet but that's on my list to try) Here, I ordered the shrimp and crawfish boil. During lunch time, the price was $15.00. Awesome deal in my book since the regular price of the crawfish alone was $11.00 out side of the lunch special. I got a mix of all 3 seasoning blend, and my meal was not too spicy or bland. It was just right. In fact, I don't recall it being too hot at all. OverALL, it's the same concept as the other "seafood in a bag" restaurants, you just have to find the one that knows how to perfectly blend the seasonings and I believe wild crab has mastered that technique. read more

Food was simply not good. Came in with 3 friends- we all ordered Fried Catfish Baskets with Fries. The fries were actually really yummy, but something was off with the fish. We all agreed that the "fishy" taste was very strong, to the point of some pieces being inedible. Definitely not fresh and possibly not actually catfish. Normally I would have let our server know, but her demeanor was such that we felt we were better off just paying and leaving. We ended up getting the snow crab legs and headless shrimp combo with all the sauces, 1/2lb of sausage, and a side of white rice. Our food came out pretty quickly despite our waitress taking a while to come to our table. The bag was steaming and our seafood was fresh and hot. There was actually a ton of food in that little bag and we ended up to-going it since we couldn't finish it. The crab was juicy and the shrimp was sweet and plentiful. It also came with boiled potatoes and 2 corn cobs. The sauce was extremely flavorful and was delicious with the white rice. The only reason this wasn't 5 stars was because our waitress took forever to come to our table every time, whether it be taking our orders, checking up on us, or giving us the check. The hostess first brings out to your table butchers paper to cover your table. ( for the mess you're getting ready to do). Lol Then you chose what flavors you want added into your combinations. We added lemon pepper-sauce, Cajun sauce & garlic sauce. They combined all those ingredients together after cooking your dinner into the bag to blend. ( it's called a wild special this seasoning was called this) What an amazing Taste! Your meal also comes with plastic gloves, bibs, a plastic fork & paper plates. (Just to get you started). Oh soooo good! This was by far the best crab shack in a long time. We had the snow crab and shrimp duo with the mild wild crab sauce (highly recommend). We added a half a pound of sausage. This place is sooooo good. The portions are great for the pricing, for seafood it's actually pretty affordable. They are always attentive and the food & appetizers are always out in a timely manner.
