Hank's organic got me by surprise. Been wanting to try this place since it is honestly the only organic supermarket in the Art District area. I found out that they have a breakfast bar and decided to go for their brisket and egg breakfast . The quality of the meat was perfect. I don't really like scrambled eggs, but these definitely tasted delicious . I give this dish 10 out of 10. coconut latte 8/10. There is also an outdoor sitting area, which was really clean and spacious plenty of sitting space for approximately 30 to 40 people. There's also plenty of parking and EV charging spaces. The service was 10 out of 10. Everyone was extremely helpful. Got to meet the manager and he very patient with me considering I had a lot of questions with their food menu. I believe Instagram also made them popular with their $30 ribeye lunch special, which is a huge portion of ribeye steak that includes two sides.

I saw this place on instagram then completely forgot about it, but somehow ended up here by happenstance. There was a guy with a grill and he was about to close up, but said I could be the last customer. So I went inside and perused the menu and saw a steak. I wanted to give the ribeye a try so I got that with a few sides, which were couscous and a caprese. The grill guy put the steak on the grill and went to work. When he was done, he asked me if I wanted A1 sauce with it. I said yes. I know all the steak connoisseurs out there would hate my answer for that, but they don't understand how a simple sauce could bring back so much nostalgia. Nostalgia of spending time at the dinner table with grandma and grandpa eating together. Those memories overcame my soul as I ate the rest of the steak and I may have shed a tear, considering how long it's been since they've been gone. I love them so much and I had an opportunity to relive a moment with them. The steak was cooked well and the sides were good. It's kinda nice eating out on a patio too so the ambiance was great, and the service was amazing all around. It's a great place to get a full steak ribeye meal for $35!

Hank's is what Whole Foods prepared food wishes it was. This is the perfect spot for lunch. First, they have prepared foods ready for takeaway. All of the items are prepared fresh throughout the day. I chose the chicken teriyaki which was bomb, my friend got it too and agreed the chicken was really delicious for pre-prepared food. I also got the Korean broccoli and that was SO GOOD. I can't recommend it enough! 9.5/10. It's tempura fried with a delicious sauce. You have to try it. I also got the cilantro rice, but that was just bland and greasy. I got it before I saw the other prepared cold salads. They also have a cold prepared food section which has poke, amazing salads, amazing pasta salads. You can also order several deli sandwiches and they'll make them for you. Or you can order off their grilled menu and wait for them to prepare it on the grill (they have someone outside actually grilling your food). It's not crazy overpriced, my meal was $13.20 altogether. There are more expensive options, but keep in mind everything is organic. The man who rang up my order was super friendly and patient. I already talked to my friend about what I want to order the next time we go!

Combo plate. I ate it but you can see that the box is more shallow and you dont get that much for what you pay for

The food is alright. I came only for the hotbar because I heard its an erewhon dupe. I love that its organic, but honestly its the same exact price of erewhon.. just smaller portions. At erewhon their combo plates are bigger. At hanks, the side containers are shallow. At erewhon it's deeper and wider. So technically you get more there. That being said, its decent food. But this location is a bit out of the way so I wouldnt come back, I just wanted to try it. Service seems fine, ambiance looks nice.

How I feel sitting at Hank's is how I would like my entire life to feel all of the time. I'm headed to the Chromatic exhibit next store and I just wanted to grab a snack prior. I walk into a store that is basically Erewhon's cooler older sister and I felt at home. I wanted to eat everything on display but for this first trip I went with the beef brisket and carb sides. They asked me how I was doing and we talked about the show I was headed to. I'm indecisive and they helped me pick out the mousse as my sweet treat and made me a fresh squeezed orange juice. I wish every afternoon was like this. Whenever I come to the arts district for an exhibit I'm walking into Hank's for a plate. Also, the outdoor patio is a perfect place to sit. This is my spot now.

I went to Hank's Organic and had a pleasant experience. I got the fruit ice creams and they were good and refreshing recommend lemon. The service was good and they were really helpful. The ambience was really nice and pleasant. Would go again.

May 2023 / Downtown LA: After attending an Art Opening on the same block, Hank's Organic caught my eye! My friend & I stopped by to see what it was all about! Several recognizable health food brands, as well as plenty we had never heard of! The fun packaging, fresh fruit and vegetables, a deli and just plenty to see, we enjoyed walking around the store! Customer Service: When we were grabbing a few items to take to the counter, we noticed that they had been closing! However, not once did they rush us or even tell us that they were in the process of closing, so sweet! Thanks again for being so kind! Overall: Hank's Organic has a variety of great products, and customer service is really sweet! I also enjoyed the kombucha drinks, as well as the ceremonial Matcha tea! If in the area again, yes, I would stop by, keeping in mind, though, their prices are a little bit higher!

Hot bar here is really good. However, today I found a hair in my food and that is very disgusting.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Hank's Organic! The people who work at Hank's are terrific. The quality of food is great. Excellent smoothies and prepared food. Fresh produce. I don't shop at Erehwon but Hank's is my "special place!" Look for the sales! They are making an effort to help make it more affordable.

The process was definitely different from a regular doctor visit, but honestly, it was a really interesting experience. Since the practitioner doesn't speak English, I translated my symptoms into Chinese using Google Translate and showed him my phone. He checked my tongue and pulse very carefully before writing out a custom herbal tea prescription entirely in Chinese characters. You then take the prescription to the front counter where they prepare the herbs into 5 separate bags. Each bag lasts 2 days, and you boil the herbs for about an hour, strain the tea, and save the rest for the next day. I'm not going to lie -- the tea tastes STRONG. Very earthy, bitter, and honestly like dirt lol. Each boiled tea bag yields 24-32 oz. that needs to be consumed warm, preferably in one sitting after lunch. It was hard to drink, but after finishing my first cycle (10days) I noticed a huge improvement in my symptoms. They explained that most people do 2-3 cycles using the same prescription for full results. I genuinely feel a lot better. I paid $20 for consultation + $85 for the tea. If you use the prescription and 2nd time you only pay for the tea of $85. They take credit cards but there is a $6 transaction fee.

So... take my review seriously!!! I tried almost all their food and can give a detailed rundown on each one. They have amazing, amazing, amazing food made with love here and employees that are incredibly kind and funny. They're welcoming and you can tell they really enjoy working at Rainbow Acres and want to spread good vibes. Their food is made in house, from scratch, exactly what it is. No food dyes or processing. Just fresh, straightforward food for a good price. RAINBOW ACRES MADE ME SHED A TEAR. I was so incredibly ecstatic to find an healthy, grocery CO-OP near me. The smoothies are great, they sometimes have samples. They're all delicious and they also can be paid with EBT. Their guac and chips was actually the best I've ever had from a grocery store. The guacamole had enough salt and lime, like... whole foods and chipotle guac was PUT TO SHAME. Well-seasoned, super chunky, cilantro, red onion, tomato, mmm, and those chips were actually fresh tortilla chips. So crunchy and light. So yum. God. Their sandwich was insane. Slices and heaps of chicken breast for double the price of a sprouts sandwich and quadruple times more tasty. Don't second guess it, just get it!!! BBQ chicken and ranch salad was insane. I ate it in like 10 mins and my stomach was bulging. When you see it, it will be irresistible. The grilled chicken is marinated and covered in a sweet bbq sauce and their housemade ranch is seasoned deeply, comparable to wingstop's ranch. Crunchy lil tortilla chips and crunchy salad with some roasted corn. Every single thing in that plate had its own flavor, unlike the prepackaged slop at other stores. However, it was close to $20... The fruit tart was FRESH and yummy, a tad sweet, but all the fruit was incredibly quality. The crust left a little to be desired, but great nonetheless. Their hot deli food is great too. We got a parm crusted chicken breast and it was very juicy and flavorful. The samples were great, even their curry is packed with flavor. Their turkey chili was insanely hearty and delicious, thankfully not too salty. chili mango is the best my boyfriend claims he's ever had. immense selection of unique canned and bottled drinks. They make their own green smoothies and juices in glass bottles, but there's also local branded magnesium teas, adaptogens, sparkling waters, etc. LOTS AND LOTS of vegan options. Great selection of teas and medicinal herbs and pure oils meant for the skin. I picked up some grapeseed oil and snacks. Some of the prices here are cheaper than whole foods, but some are more expensive. I really love Rainbow Acres, but some of their prices can be expensive. However, when factoring in the quality, freshness, and how the food is SIMPLE AND CLEAN AND HOPEFULLY AS ETHICAL AS IT CAN BE, it justifies the prices. The employees are always helpful, so it does help to imagine that the higher prices go to them as well. I'm really happy that this place exists. A response or acknowledgment would have gone a long way. Because of this experience, I don't feel comfortable coming back. Overall, this is easily one of my go-to grocery stores in LA, and I literally stop by almost every day. The store is always organized, clean, and easy to shop. Not everything is organic, but they carry a lot of great products, and the overall selection is strong. I usually get my daily produce here, and I also buy wine here pretty often. The water refill area is always kept clean, which I appreciate, and their fresh juice section is one of my favorite parts of the store. The larger juices come in plastic, but the price on the orange juice is hard to beat, so I keep going back for it. I also like their prepared food section. During one stretch I was buying it pretty often and was always happy with the options, especially since a lot of the food avoids seed oils and uses grass-fed beef. They even have a live kitchen where you can sign up for classes and participate in food prep, which is a really cool touch and makes the store feel more thoughtful and community-oriented. The staff is another big plus. I've interacted with a lot of the cashiers and employees here, and they've all been sweet, personable, and genuinely pleasant to talk to. You can tell the people working here care and that the store is trying to offer a better experience. My only real issue is the meat and fish section. I've tried a lot from it over time--chicken breast, wings, ground wagyu, marinated items, branzino--and too often I've felt like I wasn't getting the freshest product. That's the one department that has consistently let me down. It's disappointing because the rest of the store is so strong. I also don't really understand why the wagyu ground beef costs almost double when it's formed into patties, but that's more confusing than a dealbreaker. At the end of the day, I still think Lazy Acres is one of the best grocery stores in LA, especially for convenience, cleanliness, product mix, and staff. But I've pretty much told myself to stop buying meat here, because for the same price I can get much better quality from a proper butcher. Since it's only a 3-minute walk from me, I'll absolutely keep coming back, just with a little more selectiveness about what I buy.

I chatted with Bree about my fitness goals and how I was toning/ cutting weight and she made some suggestions. When I asked her what her favorite was she said she liked the Sensual Vibes smoothie. I like the sound of it from the ingredients, and she suggested adding ginger. It was SOOOOOOOO delicious. I will DEFINITELY be going back to try out another smoothie. SERVICE Bree was so very helpful. I told her my goals and that I'd just done a workout and she gave me her recommendations...she also told me her favorite a suggest I add ginger to what I was thinking about. AMBIANCE It was a chill environment but also family friendly. There were some people there with their kids enjoying the place. Also this place is dog friendly. They even had an organic treat for my dog niece Wawa to enjoy!

A good spot with a good healthy food. Located in a cozy area…read moreof echo park. They serve your order fresh... lots of options depends on your focus - whether for immunity, for liver detox , anti inflammatory, energy , metal detox. Staff were friendly, ready to assist and welcoming. We love their BLT, twas a delight! Has a good sauce, and a good portion . We also tried their OG avocado... rich portion of avocado and tomatoes. The only thing challenging is the parking. It's better to go early and avoid weekends, unless it's ok for you to wait and look around for a parking space. It was worth the try for this spot, good heathy yummy food and juices, affordable as well. Would definitely comeback and try the other delis and croissants.
