Every time I visit, I order the #19: thick, hand-cut pastrami piled high on double-baked rye bread that's soft inside with a perfectly crunchy crust. It comes with Russian dressing and housemade slaw. The combination is absolutely outstanding. I'm also a big fan of their pastrami chili fries. The chili is perfectly seasoned and pairs beautifully with the chopped pastrami and melted cheddar cheese. My only real complaint has nothing to do with the restaurant itself. The location across from MacArthur Park is rough. You'll see drug addicts in zombie-like states right outside the windows and open drug deals happening on the street. It's a very sad scene and a stark reminder of how much Los Angeles has declined. I really wish city leaders cared more about cleaning it up.
