Food is good, had the avocado toast! Eggs over medium! Hash browns with a mix of potatoes and sweet potatoes. The biscuit that everything was over was definitely homemade! I absolutely enjoyed it! The wait staff was so accommodating. Asking the baby if she was old enough for a crayon to occupy herself. (Wasn't any air traffic on the crummy memorial day weekend) My wife had the biggest pancakes with a side of fresh cut fruit. The kids order of pancakes were huge too! You have to weigh the fact that the food is excellent and the location is fun vs the fact the wait is long and the service is scattered at best and checked-out at worst. On the lastest visit, had to ask three different employees for a coffee refill. Side orders of biscuits and gravy and corn beef hash were lost in the shuffle. Arrived 15 after the mains. Our waiter was trying her best but not getting any support from the young staff. She constantly had to remind them what they were there for. Chocolate shake never arrived. We left without it. Had to check this place out after it made the cut for the top fly-in restaurant list...and I was super impressed with this place. It's located inside the Sky Acres airport which is like totally the middle of nowhere somewhere in New York. You can fly in or drive in if you live in the town nearby. It's a cute little cafe, but with mighty power, great food and fantastic service. A friend from Philly met me here and he had an incredible looking burger, while I had the Philly Cheesesteak. The items were all high quality. Granted, I'd honestly skip the philly cheesesteak next time (just because nothing compares to the real deal), but the burgers and all the airplane memorabilia really do make this a small little destination diner. The coffee even has that diner smell. Highly recommended! read more

If you fly planes please fly to this spot for breakfast. If you don't fly planes, please go to this spot for breakfast. This place is to the east of Poughkeepsie in the hills. If your flying in I warn you of the incline on the taxiway and the decline on the runway. The food was pretty yummy. We sat ourselves and we were greeted as soon as we sat down. They have indoor and outdoor seating and the staff is nice. I ordered the avocado toast with some chicken on the side. The avocado toast was good but I noticed it was more like Guacamole spread over the break. I liked it regardless though. If you like watching airplanes and eating right then come here lol. read more

First time there . Food was that farm to table quality and done with a lot of care would go back just because of that. But the service was incredibly fast and kind. The atmosphere is welcoming and you get to watch planes taxi or land and takeoff. I almost don't want to review this place because I don't want anyone else to know how good it is. The foods usually good here. Service staff is friendly. During the summer it's pretty chaotic and loud with food staff going in and out the exterior door that slams to serve guests on the patio. The quality of the service is mixed. Today was super slow and disappointing. After specifically asking what was in the special skillet to make sure there are no carbs (my current diet) the thing turned out to be 90% potatoes. They never told me potatoes were in it and truly there was very little food apart from that. I ordered a different meal and it took so long that we just canceled it after they said the kitchen hadn't started. The Hangars cafe reopened under new owner and chef. The chef is a graduate from the CIA and we've been eager to try this place. They remodeled the interior to give it an open, bright, rustic look. Plenty of seating available, with a small waiting area by the fireplace. They also have outdoor seating during warm weather. We were greeted warmly and was seated promptly on a Sunday morning around 11 am. Breakfast all day and lunch menu starts at 11:30 am. Husband had the biscuit - Perfect portion and you can tell the biscuit is homemade and the gravy is thick and flavorful. Not too salty either. I had steak & eggs - nice tender piece and cooked to medium rare as I requested. No complaint what so ever. The place seems to be doing good; most of the tables were filled and the food are coming out at a nice pace. All the servers were cheerful and friendly. They were also giving out foam craft plane for the kids to take home. We will definitely be back here soon. read more

This is a great little fly-in airport restaurant; I wish there were more of these around (there was one at Oxford Airport in CT but that's long gone). Hangars has good food and service, and really has that nice airport restaurant feel - unpretentious but classy looking. Landing on runway 35 can be a bit spicy (especially in an SR22 - they don't like to stop!) as the runway goes downhill at about the half way point so be aware of this. The runway is 3,800 feet though, which is long enough to mitigate this if you don't float too much before touching down. Also, fuel price is the lowest in the area. This is my new go-to spot for a fly-in meal; I love it! read more

Other than being at breakfast in the dining room of a true ship this morning's was one of the better breakfast meals we've enjoyed Hangars Cafe our door dining is adjacent to the docking area for small planes calling this airport home( actually Lagrangeville ) I had with my breakfast scratch made corn beef hash (find that in Westchester) and excellent coffee It's about an hour drive north of White Plains If I realized it's location we would have met MAP for breakfast I hope to do the return trip soon read more

This place was absolutely amazing! The food was so good! Originally I went with the intent of trying the Bagel or the Eggs Benedict but the Avocado toast just sounded so good! The eggs were cooked to perfection, and my favorite thing was the home fries!!! It is so hard to find a breakfast spot in this area that not only makes a good entree but equally as good sides but this place nailed it! My boyfriend got the BYO omelet and he wasn't dissapointed either, the sausage was crisp and delicious. Overall great experience, good service, amazing food, pleasant view of the small airport! The dining area is cozy and not overwhelming! Will be back for sure and eventually will try everything on the breakfast menu, and definitly going to try lunch! read more

We have been going here for 14 years on and off through different owners. We were excited to see the new place. It is nicely decorated and the service is good. Coffee good. Big disappointment with cold, dry home fries. They were not even warm when served. They were either sitting around after getting heated up and didn't get heated up at all. The omelets skimped a bit on the cheese and onion. The onion had a great taste but were scant. The shake was very thin- one step up from chocolate milk. It is always fun to watch the planes come and go. The prices are not cheap so the lack of was definitely a let down. I'm fine with paying for good food, but they missed the mark on a few basics. read more

Love this place! My son always loved the restaurant here before it was Hangars, because of the airport. But now we all love it because of the food! Great coffee, breakfast and lunch options are delicious. Large portions and reasonable prices. I just got their special strawberry stuffed French toast the other day and it was excellent!
