I was in town visiting family when I discovered To my horror that I left my daughter's medication…read moreat home. I called this Walgreen's pharmacy, hoping that the needed medication would be on file, given their national database, and it was. They answered their phone just fine and said all they needed was an order from my daughter's doctor and it would be filled with no problem. Once I talked to the doc, and gave a bit of time, the Walgreens pharmacy staff again answered the phone and said they had the medication, but my insurance company had denied it due to early refill. The staff told me what the cost would be out of pocket for the six pills I needed. Once I got there, the medication was ready for me at the cost they quoted and they gave me a tip on how to appeal to the insurance company later, if I wished. Their service was exactly what I would expect--timely and courteous--and the insurance denial had nothing to do with Walgreens. Maybe they know about the bad reviews and made changes, but my experience was much better.

I stopped using them a long time ago, but my doctor's office accidentally sent a prescription here, so unfortunately I had to deal with them again. When I arrived, they told me they never received the prescription, so I had to call my doctor's office. They confirmed it had, in fact, been sent. It was in their in box that they never checked. This was after waiting in line for about 20 minutes. First, I was told it would take an hour. Then they changed that to a "guaranteed" time of 1 hour and 45 minutes. I went home and called before making the trip back. After being on hold for quite a while, I was told it still wasn't ready. When I asked if the guaranteed time was when I could realistically expect it to be filled, I was told no it would probably be another 45 minutes beyond that. So the timeline went from 1 hour, to a guaranteed 1 hour 45 minutes, to "realistically" closer to 9:15 p.m. If the guaranteed time doesn't actually mean anything, why give it? To make matters worse, I try to run errands during the day for safety reasons. Having to make multiple unnecessary trips because of poor communication is frustrating and inconvenient. This experience reminded me exactly why I stopped using this pharmacy in the first place.

When it came my turn to be served the young male clerk told me to go to the other line. He had a smirk on his face and stood there doing nothing while I went to the other line, expecting him to move on to another task. No, he just stood there doing nothing. As luck would have it the other clerk was having difficulty communicating with a Spanish only speaking customer. After watching her struggling to communicate with him I stepped in and used my fractured Spanish. The problem was solved. All this time, several minutes, while watching the other clerk struggle trying to communicate with the customer the young male attendant started to talk with the Hispanic man in fluent Spanish. I was stunned! Why did he not help a couple of minutes before? He had been standing no more than about 8' away with a smirk on his face watching the other clerk doing her best, struggling admirably with the language problem. He did nothing. After I had helped and saw that he was fluent in Spanish I told him that he was out of line for not helping the other attendant - words like rude, bad mannered, etc. came easily to me including my unsolicited opinion of him for not helping the other attendant. He retaliated in a sarcastic manner. Words escalated, but quietly and not excessively. I was not looking for an argument. I just wanted to be gone, but he would not let it go. He then told the other clerk to watch his register while he took me outside "to have a talk". He started to move around the counter toward me in a threatening manner. I am 74 years old, disabled, recovering from surgery, and not looking to fight anyone, but I do carry a weapon for self-protection. Nonetheless, I told him quite calmly that if he touched me I would call the police and have him arrested for assault. He backed off momentarily, said a few words, and I suggested that he was racist. He then called the police to lodge a complaint about an unruly customer...lol... I completed my transaction and quietly left - never to return again. Hell can freeze over, and I will still go out of my way to avoid this store/gas station.

Many gas stations might offer 2-3 flavors but this Swift had NINE slush flavors and 4 Icee flavors. (I personally have always liked Slush over Icee so this is favorable to me... except I don't like to have much sugar so I didn't partake in the brain freeze inducing fun.) The interior appeared new and clean. There was an area for hot food in addition to the typical gas station fare of cold cooler beverages and carby snacks. I even believe I saw a "beer cave." The price was alright... I wouldn't stop regularly but an occasional treat won't break the bank. The 16oz size was like $2 and the 24oz was like $2.89 (I think.) Total came to $7.30. The only real negative was the cashier. Upon leaving, it's mind boggling to me how a 7 year-old can notice and say, "Boy, she wasn't very friendly, was she?" Hahaha. Omg! Yes!!! She was NOT friendly indeed. I'm glad someone else picked up on that. Maybe her face would have broken if she tried to smile. Who knows. Didn't feel like it caused a huge drop in rating nonetheless. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised with the variety of sweet frozen drinks. We'll be back!

The gas price is cheaper than its competitor which is nice and it doesn't do that "cash price" "credit price" garbage either. I hate that! One price for gas and that's it. This store is super clean and they have their deli area up and running super early. My absolute favorite thing is the hatch chili sausage kolache. It's sooooooo good and always hot and freshly made. I also like their hand dipped peppermint snaps. They have little pieces of peppermint candy and white chocolate, They're perfect. I did not like the whoopie pie with peppermint, though. Definitely pass on those. Another reason I love this place is because of coffee! They have dark roast, house blend, pecan blend! And decaf, I don't even know why decaf exists, but they have it just in case people actually drink it. They also have cappuccino machines which Mexican hot chocolate, which is my favorite! They have a ton of flavorings as well, like half and half, vanilla, hazelnut, caramel, oh and they come in the sugar free variety too.

Despite having a scheduled appointment, we were not seen until 4:15 PM--an exact wait time of 1 hour and 45 minutes past the scheduled appointment time. To add to the frustration, another patient in the waiting room had a 3:10 PM appointment and was also still waiting to be seen. During this time, Greta spent approximately 40 minutes laughing and chatting with another patient while multiple patients remained in the waiting area. When I respectfully addressed the excessive wait time, I was met with a nasty and dismissive attitude rather than professionalism or an explanation. What made the situation even more frustrating was that, after the patient before me left, it appeared that my daughter and I were next in the queue. However, Greta attempted to call another patient ahead of us and stated that someone else was before us, despite the check-in screen indicating otherwise. The individual she referenced appeared last in the queue and was not even present at the time. My preteen daughter was there for a physical--the same type of physical I brought her to this location for last year. I was then told that the protocol had changed and that Greta could not complete my daughter's physical without a specific school form being completely filled out. The practitioner who completed my daughter's physical last year did not require this form, so this was frustrating and unexpected. Throughout our interaction, Greta also repeatedly vented to both me and my preteen daughter about working alone on a Saturday and not receiving a lunch break. While I understand that staffing challenges and working conditions can be difficult, it is inappropriate to place those frustrations on patients, especially in front of a child. Those concerns should be addressed with management--not repeatedly discussed with patients who are simply there to receive care. I understand that healthcare professionals can have busy and stressful days, and I am sympathetic to being short-staffed. However, patients should still be treated with courtesy, honesty, professionalism, and respect. More importantly, MinuteClinic's appointment scheduling and patient queue process need to be seriously reviewed. If patients can schedule appointments days in advance and still wait nearly two hours to be seen, while the order of patients being called does not appear to match the queue displayed on the screen, there is clearly an issue that needs to be addressed. Overall, this was an extremely unprofessional experience. I hope MinuteClinic management takes this complaint seriously and reviews both the conduct displayed during this visit and the appointment/check-in process at this location.

This canned cocktail, packs a punch and half a can took me there! Someone told me to go to the hood to find all the flavors, at first skeptical; I drove over to the Always Market off of Scott St. and to my surprise I found more flavors of Clubtail than my gas station carried. They have Long Island Iced tea, Bahama Mama, Pink Lemonade, and Sex on the Beach. They didn't have the Margarita flavor, which is okay for me bc my store only carries one flavor which is this. The prices for these Clubtails are also cheaper than the gas station that's near me, their prices are $2.98 for one can, however here at Always Market for one can it's $2.59! A big difference! With 10% alcohol by volume, these 16 fl oz cans will take you to a smooth, talkative, and feeling good vibe! I usually sip em' after a long week after working 40 to 60 hours. Whatever you do as work or just looking for an adult beverage to enjoy, choose Clubtails as you decide and this is coming from a beer drinker. Haha! The clerk is super friendly and personable as well! That's a plus for me, as I enjoy a conversation with anyone! He says, if you're ever looking for anything that other convenience stores don't carry tell him and he will do his best to stock Always Market with it! Now, if that ain't business then I don't know what to tell you! I'm happy with my purchase and will come here for now on to get my Clubtails!
