They've got you over a barrel when they come out and start throwing parts. This was an install of a drop in kitchen sink and faucet. He told me his hourly rate was 135 bucks. I was expecting to spend about 400 maybe 500. The final bill was 850. I feel I was overcharged on both the parts and labor. He charged me starting 45 min before he got there but still included a "truck charge." The removal and replace of the sink took 2 hours. To me the "clock" starts on the labor at the agreed upon arrival time. When I'm getting charged 439(!) bucks for parts on top of the sink and faucet itself, that extra charge for labor is quite unwelcome. I mean the sink and faucet itself that were "nice" were like 500 bucks. So almost that again just in parts. ‍ His answer in general as I look at these reviews is that he buys his parts from a plumber supply not Home Depot etc. I would have to research each individual part to see if its price point is "fair". A perusal of solid brass fittings and pvc p traps on the Lowe's site shows the price I paid was about doubled. He acted quite insulted that I wouldn't know just how much better his parts were and implied they were all but unavailable at big box stores. literally doubling what I expected to pay was quite a shock to say the least. Mike and Sarah with Advanced Plumbing are simply the best!!…read more I was recently having water pressure issues at my house and was sure that it was the pressure relief valve that was faulty, since my house is 13 years old and my neighbor had just recently replaced theirs. Mike came out and determined that the valve was indeed faulty and quickly replaced it and at a reasonable price. The water pressure was better, but still wasn't really the way it should be. This is where Advanced Plumbing really shined. Mike came back out and took his time to correctly diagnose that the pressure issues that I was still having were all due to my water softener system having some kind of a internal issue. He bypassed the softener to be sure and immediately the water pressure was fixed. He all of this all at no extra cost to me, which is really amazing, especially since he knew I still had a warranty on the water softener and thus wouldn't get any more business out of this job if it was indeed the water softener that was faulty. I got the water softener fixed a few days later and everything is back to normal. Mike and Sarah showed outstanding customer service and just as important, got the problem figured out in a timely manner and at a great price.
