I'm not a typical "give me a number 2 all the way around" kind guy, so I do care where I get it cut and for that matter, who cuts it. I've been going here for quite a while now. My commitment is shown in my willingness to, year after year, drive down here from Boston [North Easton, Quincy, Downtown Boston, and/or Medford, depending on the year] to get my hair snip snapped. Now that i'm temporarily local again, the distance has diminished quite a bit, but - I digress. Don't get me wrong, i've tried other places, but it never comes out as good. Hey, maybe I suck at explaining how I want my hair cut. I can live with that. My fault or not - they do good work. A lot of other places cut it too short, or cut it so straight I look like Lloyd Christmas on a good day. (Dumb & Dumber reference.) I like to come out with just a shorter version of the crazy spiked whateverness I walked in with. I can always tell they did a good job when I come home from getting a haircut and my dad looks at me, pauses, and then tells me that I should "go get a haircut." I would recommend Kiki and/or Rihanna (no, not THAT one) but anyone they hire would be a good choice. I like going to the same person because I can just go in and sit there and i don't have to explain a thing. On another note, Contours has been doing my mom's hair for years, and she does the whole 6-hour experience (cut, color, ....other hair things) and she's always happy - and trust me, if she's not happy, she would be the first one to tell you. The people are super friendly, there is always fresh coffee and some sort of food (bagels, pastries, and/or mini sandwiches) to munch on when you get there / before you leave. Not the cheapest place in the world, but in the grand scheme of things, $41 for a guy's haircut every 9 weeks isn't a big deal.

I ended up with super sharp and jagged hot pink and magenta nails for 130 dollars. I called and politely explained the aspects I didn't like and asked if we could meet the next day to fix it and EVEN OFFERED TO PAY MORE. Come to discover he blocked me on IG (??? Seriously...I was super polite and blamed it all on myself). Good luck running a business like this. I was very happy when I called to make an appointment and the woman on the front desk was kind, helpful and understandable. when I arrived the salon was clean, empty (but it was a Monday) and I liked the atmosphere, the light jazz was a good touch. I put up no argument and gladly opted for the most expensive spa pedicure. The tech nicked the top of my right toe (sensitive skin) with a nail file. luckily it didn't bleed but as the pedicure went on she sprayed my toes with pure alcohol several times and wow that burned. as an industry professional she should have been using something like sea breeze (it would have been ok only to wipe the nail with alcohol not spray it over the tops of the feet. it progressed when (and this happens almost everywhere) she violently exfoliated my legs with scrub. I'm not here to solicit free advice but scrub does the work on its own, a gentle touch is all you need. I don't want to have my skin scrubbed off: again. ow! The massage was hurried, and missed the key sensory points -- all I can say is there shouldn't be any rushed or hurried movements in the spa industry, to be blunt the massage just didn't feel good, it also lacked pressure. I skipped my manicure all together, but the tech redeemed herself on the back massage as I was drying which delivered the pressure and key tension spots but overall I don't know if I would go back. Still on the hunt for the best spot.

Today I got a gel manicure and a green tea pedicure ($65)... my bill was a few dollars over $100, plus I tipped $20. Rachel did my nails today and she did an outstanding job! My gel Polish is perfectly & thinly brushed on my finger nails. My toes feel and look happy. My pedicure included a foot massage and callous removal, I received a nice back & shoulder massage after my finger nails were done. The salon is clean, bright and cheerful. They line the pedicure sinks which I've grown to love (just guarantees that your water will be sanitary), they sanitize the tools. Also super nice was the music they played inside the salon. Classic Nails truly created a relaxing environment for Pampering! I also appreciate and am so grateful that the staff only spoke in their native language once and it was clearly to ask about supplies, not conversations throughout that can make you wonder if you're being discussed.
