However, the communication around ordering and sizing became confusing. I was initially told the ring would take 5-7 days to come in, then 12 weeks, then suddenly it arrived. When the ring came in, it was still too large. After returning to have it adjusted, I was told the wrong size had been ordered (a 5.5 instead of a 5), and that it would need to be reordered again -- potentially another 12 weeks -- with no clear confirmation whether it could even be sized properly once it arrived. Ultimately, I requested a refund, which I did receive, though there was some hesitation due to timing even though the delays were outside of my control. The staff was polite throughout, and I genuinely liked the ring, but the inconsistent communication and sizing issues made the experience more frustrating than it should have been for such an important purchase.

When my younger brother went to buy his girlfriend's ring, I could have gotten him a great deal on a stone. But instead, I recommended that he go with Reliable, because I knew they would give him a great price on the stone, and more importantly, they would service the product long after vows were exchanged. That's important to keep in mind when you buy a diamond -- will the jeweler stand by their product? Will you be able to easily and conveniently take your ring back to the jeweler? Genuinely nice people who invest time in their clients to understand their needs and always go above and beyond in service. They aren't part of a mall, so the store itself stands out and makes you feel like you are entering a home and within they have an impressive selection of jewelry and (my favorite) are an authorized Rolex dealer. I think what makes them special is their ability to custom make pieces. To date we have bought 5 customized pieces of jewelry from them (at very reasonable prices) and each time we kinda had an idea of what we wanted and each time they patiently walked us through options, gave us honest opinions as to what works and doesn't, and guided us to a final design that left us feeling like we had walked away with something truly special.
