The service here is nonstop! The workers are attentive, from refilling water to grill change, to putting in your order, and getting the items onto the table within minutes.. is amazing! The food is delicious. This is my new go to ayce kbbq!

Steamed egg

Servers weres always ready to add anything to our orders! Everything was brought out quickly. The steamed egg was tasty, came out boiling hot in the stone pot. It melted in my mouth. My one complaint was the corn cheese which tasted like corn from the can. The marinated short rib was seasoned well and I thought the spicy pork belly was the best.

This was my first time at Handoo Korean BBQ. I came with my boyfriend for our New Year Day tradition. It's safe to say it did not disappoint. Great service and super friendly. The meat was good and the banchan kept coming. We left full, happy, and smelling like the meat sweats lol (which honestly feels like a win). We'll definitely be back!

I think this place is decent for the price. They have Menu A and Menu B. Menu A is 32$ and Menu B is 38$. Menu B just has a few more items, just a tad bit more premium. I went with Menu B bc it has ALL the meats I typically eat. What I really enjoyed was the marinated beef rib. The meat was pretty tender. In this package they have baby octopus and squid also. The sides were OK. I was really disappointed in the corn cheese. It definitely needed more mayo or kewpie and a tiny bit of sugar and fir sure MORE cheese! The steamed egg was really good. The service was excellent. My grill was changed in time and my order came out quickly. Plenty of seats but a bit hot inside. Id come again!

We walked into HanDoo Korean BBQ on a Friday night expecting a line... and walked straight to a table. No wait -- already a win. Though it may have been for a reason... We ordered Menu B ($35.99 for adults, $18.99 for kids 5-8), which has all the KBBQ classics. But the boneless beef rib? Chef's kiss Easily the best cut on the menu. The ribeye had potential but seemed kind of frozen still, so it lost a bit of its expected melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Now... the service might be why there was no wait. While they were friendly, they definitely weren't fast. After placing our first order, the grill sat empty for about 10 minutes, which in KBBQ time feels like an eternity. Our grill sat empty again after we cooked the first round, for another 10 mins before placing the second round order. Service was so slow, we only made it two rounds, as our brains caught up with our stomachs. Wondering if that's purposeful because there was no shortage of servers. Love that they made salad optional as a side (I don't waste my time with salad at KBBQ). The fried rice was "meh" - nothing to write home about. Atmosphere-wise, it's loud -- fun for groups, Kpop playing, but expect to yell a little for conversation. Overall the meat quality's solid for the price, which is fair, and that boneless beef rib alone makes the slow pace easier to forgive.

It's been a long time since I've eaten here but I had it again this past weekend with my family and honestly, the only upside to this place is that you can get seated rather quickly on a weekend. But service is so slow, they barely come around to check on you and take your order(I wish they had those buzzer buttons to call a waitstaff). And the portion sizes are so small. Lastly, the quality of the meat is not good. It tasted old and lacked flavor. The sides were not flavorful either.

The $30 option still plenty of meat seafood choices!

Serious BBQ coma every time! All you can take marinated beef ribs to fill those nasty SOCAL taxes, skyrocket meat and gas prices. Here at Handoo Korean Bbq it's endless Socal gas, meats delivered before you can spell BBQ, like there's never a shortage of cow or amazing service. Californians let's just celebrate and take a nap. The world maybe on fire but you can't beat BBQ.

Beef tongue, beef rib finger, and beef belly
Liz B.

A casual spot for AYCE Korean BBQ! We tried menu B, which was $36 instead of $30 and came with some premium meats that I thought were worth it, like the beef rib finger, beef tongue, and rib eye steak. From the cheaper menu A, the beef brisket and beef belly were standard and good as usual, but the thin pork belly tasted lower quality. The portions for the spicy octopus were also huge, I would definitely try to get a half portion next time. There was no wait at 1pm on a Saturday, making it a good alternative for the long waits at other KBBQ spots on Convoy (if you're willing to sacrifice some quality).

Handoo has always been on my list of Kbbq spots to try out. First of all, parking is limited in this plaza. We came in for lunch and there was only 1 person running around trying to take everyone's orders and bring them out (7 tables). She did a great job accommodating everyone by herself, and after 30 minutes, help arrived. Service was good. There are 2 menu options to choose from here: Menu A: $29.99 Menu B: $35.99 We chose Menu A. There weren't a lot of banchan to choose from, but was good enough for a quick lunch. We ordered the typical brisket, bulgogi, and marinated beef ribs. The brisket was good. Bulgogi was marinated well. The "marinated beef ribs" weren't marinated beef ribs... the cut was boneless and looked like + had the texture of espadilla (beef chuck shoulder clod) but was still good. I'd give the place another try when we have more time. Maybe next time we'll try Menu B.

This place has been around forever, and now I know why! When we visited our son on Saturday, he brought us here for dinner, and it definitely hit the spot. The prices are very reasonable -- the premium dinner option is only $39.99 -- and the meat quality was great. We really liked that the meats weren't overly seasoned or sweet, letting the real flavor come through. The service was efficient, and the staff kept our side dishes replenished without us even having to ask. It's a classic AYCE Korean BBQ spot that delivers solid value and flavor. The only downside is parking -- there's practically none around, so we ended up in a paid lot a few blocks away. Still, totally worth it for the quality and experience. A great spot for a satisfying Korean BBQ night!

Located in a busy plaza on convoy, parking is def tough due to the small lot and the spaces are pretty tight. 2 hrs are included but after that there is a fee. Our group of 10 had 2 tables which only required a short wait time on a Saturday evening. We ordered MENU B which is only a few $$ more than an and is slightly more premium. The restaurant was clean and overall music volume was perfect. Once seated, it took time to be treated by a server and required us to let them know we were ready. We ordered 2 bottles of soju and 2 pitchers. There was an issue with the pitchers not coming out but they apologized for that error. Overall meat quality was good and there are numerous side options to get. They changed the grills pretty quickly and serviced the tables with water refills etc. overall a good experience.

Menu on the wall

Parking can be tough depending on what time you come and the parking spots are small. There's a sign that says you have to pay for parking if you will be more than 2 hours but not sure how they enforce it. We were sat at a long table with grills for a party of 10. Like most KBBQ places there is never enough room for everything on the table so have the menu on the wall was very helpful. We went with the more expensive menu for $37.99 (higher than what is listed in their website). The cuts we like the most were: brisket, rib eye and intercostals. They also have good pork belly which our friend recommends dipping in ssamjang (fermented soybean and chili sauce). They checked on us often to change the grill plates and take our order. The dining room and bathrooms could definitely use an update. Overall, solid place for KBBQ.

Does it have kimchee for side dish?

Yep! Just went today and they also had japchae, fish cake and pickled radish/jalapeños.

Tried to ask the employees the type of dressing on the salad and if the kimchi had been made with any fish sauce or animal ingredients because I have a vegetarian diet. They didn't know. Does anyone know ? Thanks

Safe to say that the kimchi is most likely made with fish sauce and the dressing is probably the same as the brisket dipping sauce (soy sauce, sugar, water, and rice vinegar. You should call management or ask the kitchen for the exact list of… Read more

So I came here on a Sunday. Let me start by saying I loved the vibe and the customer service was superb. The cashier was really nice and people were constantly checking on us while we sat and ate. I'm from LA and this place was giving backyard BBQ with unc and auntie and them. lol. There is a cigar lounge type vibe to the very back serving up cocktails and playing sports on the big screen if that's your vibe. They also had some RnB playing as well. Now for the food. They are not stingy with the portions at all. I ordered rib tips, a hot link, and brisket with cornbread, potato salad and Mac n cheese. The rib tips were not as tender as I would've like them to be, however the flavor was good and their bbq sauce was phenomenal. The brisket was SUPER tender but could use more flavor. The Mac n cheese was too salty for me and my friend that came with me. However, the person who recommended the spot said the Mac n cheese was fire so maybe it was an off day which happens. The potato salad though (which they only have Fri-Sun) was out of this world and so was the cornbread. Oh AND they have kool-aid ! I did not get any but I'm sure it was fire. Side note: when I warmed it up the next day the meat did have even more flavor !
