I was a patient here due to an injury from work a while back. Angela and Adam in the physical therapy department are very caring people. They make you feel comfortable and you feel like you've known them for awhile. Lupe the receptionist in the specialist department is awesome, outgoing & knows how to do her job. She remembers you and calls you by your first name. Them alone, I would have given this review 5 stars. But... I took away 2 stars because of the main department. The front staff was alright, just doing their job. I dont mind waiting, but when I'm in the actual patient room waiting for 2 freakin' hours to the point where i think they forgot about me... only for the doctor to see me for less than 5 minutes... is NOT ok. This happened to me on more than one occasion. Thank goodness I have a lot of patience. Don't get me wrong. The doctors were nice, but making any patient wait that long is never OK.

I have nothing positive to say about this place at all so here are the negatives…read more Wait time- With an appointment you can expect to wait 3+ hours to be seen. This is because having an appointment makes no difference at all. I went there two weeks ago and waited almost 4 hours. Quality of Care- Not very good. The medical assistants working here have little compassion, no patience, and are extremely rude. They will have you come back for follow ups numerous times with little to no explanation. Waiting room: Expect to stand for a long time. Cost- I am not sure of. I would venture to say they are the cheapest in the valley otherwise so many employers would not be sending their employees there. Because no one in their right mind would go to this place voluntarily. If US healthworks is being considered by your employer get on your knees and beg and plead that they find someone else.

From the very beginning, Lily has been incredibly personable, warm, and nurturing. Our daughter (age 2-3) connected with Lily right away, which made a huge difference in her comfort and willingness to engage. Lily has a natural ability to make sessions feel fun and supportive while still being purposeful and effective. We've seen meaningful growth in our daughter's speech and communication, and we truly credit Lily's approach and consistency for that progress. She takes the time to explain strategies to us as parents, so we can reinforce what our daughter is learning between sessions. That level of care and communication really sets her apart. If you're looking for speech services for your child, we cannot recommend Amigo Baby and Lily highly enough.

Well because communication when getting off the call, receptionist says ok thank you and hangs up without me being able to say wait, hold on, or ask one last question to be sure, but no she hung up after saying thank you in an unpleasant way without a good bye or a by or without any time to get a word in during that moment. Good luck with scheduling. Initially they scheduled me for 4 weeks later. I suggested scheduling…read morethe follow up appointments then, so I wouldn't need to wait, but they said after my initial visit it wouldn't be an issue. Of course, after waiting a month, they couldn't schedule my next one till 2 weeks later and then my following another 2 weeks out. They scheduled the rest in an appropriate amount of time. After my first 2 visits, they claimed they had to re-measure my range of motion to get more visits approved, even though this was something that was already addressed. Then they started cancelling my visits, due to staffing issues. They cancelled 4 in a row, each with less than 1 hour remaining before I was to have my appointment. I had a total of 4 visits, over a 3 month time frame, when I was supposed to have had at least 2 per week. I just tried to schedule more PT, as suggested by the surgeon, but they, again, said they had nothing available for over a month. I've been going without the needed PT for too long, so I'm going elsewhere. I was able to get an appointment with a different PT business for less than a week from now. I highly recommend going elsewhere, for your own health, and sanity.

I debated deeply about this negative post, but my experience is worth sharing. First, introduction…read more I am a proud first time mom, working professional, Berkeley grad and graduate student. My son has had feeding challenges since he was 6 months old. I frankly noticed it earlier, but since he was bottle fed, his sensory difficulties did not pose a problem until we introduced solids. We sought out ACT as early as 8 months to help address his gagging and food avoidant behaviors. It may have been too early an intervention, I may not have been ready myself... for many reasons, we postponed this intervention until now, when Michael is 17 months and struggling to eat solids only. Today, before our teletherapy session began, a very brash owner took over Michael's therapy session to inform me that we were not demonstrating progress and will therefore be dropped. Shawn takes "great pride" in her practice's ability to "demonstrate progress", and because improvements were not being made, I was told I should seek care elsewhere. A lot of logical reasons were offered. Yes, my parenting approach seeks to validate my child's emotional experience and certainly I can improve on how I inadvertently "reward and punish" my son's picky eating and avoidant behaviors. Sure, Michael would benefit from an in person visit with a practitioner who can teach me how to properly manage Michael's crying tantrums on the high chair. My favorite was the "sincere" feedback this owner felt deeply that should be spoken, now, before even allowing our session to start, with a promise that she was not trying to run my son and I out of her practice. Referrals to the nearest graduate school near me were so sweetly offered. Wondering what patients rights and responsibilities are for this practice. I'm currently wondering what this practitioner's rights and responsibilities for care are. Of course, no health plan intervention or grievance will matter at this point as the practice won't be enrolling with our PPO in a month or so. May this perhaps be considered patient abandonment? Is this ethical care under AOTA or CBOT? I'm guessing the practice owner washed her hands from this by promising referrals. Nice save! Long story short, clearly this is a business. Clearly, this business does not put patients first and clearly this business owner prunes for high quality outcomes, perhaps hoping to improve clinical reputation even if the cost is patient abandonment. Thank you for making me aware of the business dynamics dictating the quality of care my son may have access to. It's too bad that your behavior, or rather your "sincere" yet unexpected intervention, undermines your practice's ability to partner with and empower parents, while also undermining the effectiveness of the therapists you hire. Samantha is wonderful, patient and caring. She could have certainly had a direct conversation with me with exponentially better outcomes. What a lost opportunity for her development. I'm sharing this experience and my review with you all because I'm dissatisfied with what happened today. I'm not looking for resolution because I won't trust my son's care to this practice anymore. This was truly unfortunate.
