Camarillo/Westlake Physical Therapy -it's difficult to get consistent appointments. They book you with Different physical therapist and if you request only seeing a few they give you the run around and don't get back to you. i have been told on 3 separate occasions they would get back to me with no response. I would like to update my review as a thank you to Sam, Sage, and the entire staff at CPT/RPT. I had some challenges with 8 appointments in June being cancelled for some reason. I expressed my concerns to CPT management and they have been working with me to get me back in. After being out of PT for one month, I noticed all of the progress that I had made there had regressed and I was in bad shape. Thankfully, they were able to get me back on the schedule and I am very thankful for all they do. Camarillo Physical Therapy is by far the best in Camarillo. I had a torn hamstring in 12/24 and the therapy I received elsewhere was not helpful. Camarillo Physical Therapy has helped me through two hip replacements, a shattered femur and a total knee replacement. Lauren helped me to get my two hips to work properly again The service that is given by each therapist is wonderful. They spend 40 minutes with you and only you. I decided to play pickle ball unfortunately while I was playing, I fell down four times I thought I was going to have to give up a game that I loved. I turned to Camarillo Physical Therapy to see if they could help me. Kate was great. She developed personal to help me feel confidence in my balance, and to secure when I move side to side. I recently began rehab for a shoulder impingement due to a bone spur under my right clavicle. I called Camarillo Physical Therapy because of the wonderful reviews online. I was able to get in straight away and begin my therapy. The owner and the front desk crew are so kind and helpful. My husband has come with me the first few sessions and the owner made sure that my husband knew how to use the coffee machine and had plenty of magazines. I began with an intake appointment with Taryn. Taryn is very attentive and thorough with her assessment and the suggested initial exercises. She was also the therapist who worked with most recently. Taryn has hand of gold when it comes to therapeutic manual manipulation. I now need to figure out how I can bottle her technique and take it home (or just take Taryn home with me). I then worked with Karen for my first full therapy session. Karen is a master of knowledge of physiology and therapeutic technique. She is very detailed but also spends a great deal of time explaining each exercise and what it will improve. Karen is also willing to answer questions about my exercises even when she is not my assigned therapist. Karen is an expert without attitude. The third person I have worked with is Katie. Katie is very knowledgeable and also very personable. Not only does she do a great job teaching and improving my exercise technique, she also makes the session so much fun. I have learned a great deal from Katie about improving and stabilizing my physical abilities. If you are looking for a physical therapy location, I can't imagine that you could find any place better than Camarillo Physical Therapy. read more

I've been working with Katie for a little over a year. First, we worked on a meniscus tear and just got approval to work on long-term neck pain. She is fabulous and has helped me to strengthen my legs to compensate for the weakened knee. She is most professional and encouraging. My husband has also been going there to deal with rehab after surgery for a torn rotator cuff. He has worked with Katie and Zack mostly but has worked with other therapists there, too. I thought the girl who did my physical therapy was nice, as are the front desk girls. But holy cow, they will not stop calling me. Like multiple times in a day. And texts. They also said because insurance approved 12 visits that's how many I should come in, when that is entirely untrue. On my first visit, I was told what the problem was and how to correct it. She iced my knees and had me stretch for five minutes. Does that sound like something I need to pay a co-pay for 12 times?? read more

I saw Dr. Karen for my back/hip pain due to sciatica. She explained to me why I have to do these different stretches and why they are very important. She even showed me the best way to get up from bed, etc. I've seen a few physical therapists in the past but none was really knowledgeable as she is. All they did was massage my back, put a heating pad on, and attach these eletrical stimulants on my back. I would highly recommend Dr. Karen. read more

Outstanding! I've had bad experiences and results with prior providers. I was very hesitant to use CPT again notwithstanding my orthopedist's recommendation. So glad I did. My initial visit had me assigned to Hereen. He has renewed my faith in PT. He promptly and expertly pinpointed my area of need and concern. His hands on manipulations were "hurt so good" spot on in targeting the key area of weakness. His exercises, resistance band work, and stretching moves have resolved my very significant pain and lack of motion. I give Hereen full marks for getting me back to full pain free activity in a very reasonable number of sessions. And for giving me the tools to keep healthy, flexible and pain free. read more

Over 30+ years of being a patient of a few physical therapy practices in Camarillo, both small through the largest, my 2020 - to current 9/2021 is the best and the ONLY one that followed all of the steps below. 1. At first meeting, the senior practitioner /owner examined x-rays, MRI's, referring physician's findings and performed a detailed physical examination and interview. 2. A customized set of remedial exercises /program was set. 3. Each session was initiated with heat pad followed by deep massage. 4. Exercises were assigned and done under supervision and for home. 5. I am so glad I came here. There aren't a lot of patients all at once getting physical therapy. It's nice to have one on one assistance with everyone. The staff is extremely nice. I have had 35 years of chronic neck issues including replaced discs and fusion. I've been to many physical therapists over the years. Most give a standard set of exercises to do. At Camarillo Physical Therapy, they take an individualized approach with ongoing evaluation of results and changes to treatments as necessary. Sej is a true healer. I have chronic neck pain and migraine headaches. She works on my neck when I have flare ups and encourages me to improve my overall health (stress levels included!). I also came to her when I had an acute low back pain episode and wasn't able to work. She did myofascial release, spinal mobilizations and kinesiotaping on me, which helped me get back to work the next day. Her knowledge of the body is beyond the physical aspect, she truly heals holistically. Sage is a true healer. I've suffered from chronic neck pain and TMJ disorder for 25+ years. I've received chiropractic care, massage, and acupuncture treatments for the last 15 years...None of which have given me the relief that Sage has given me in less than 5 myofascial release treatments. Camarillo Physical Therapy is an amazing place. Not only is their office staff professional, organized and caring, Sej and Barrett are phenomenal. I have been seeing both Sej and Barrett for chronic back and neck pain. Camarillo PT definitely takes a holistic approach to pain and how it affects the body and it is their goal to work side by side with their patients to heal the body from within. I have been to several PTs over the years and never have I felt as balanced or as good as I do after I see Sej or Barrett. I. have also never been reinjured which has happened to me several times at other PTs due to lack of care and/or knowledge. I am an acute care physical therapist and after a low back injury was really struggling to find relief with my usual stretching and strengthening exercises. I was referred to Camarillo PT by my insurance and after reading their great reviews online decided to give them a try. My PT Anne was great. She did some amazing manual treatments to help calm my muscles down and correct my spinal movement. We worked together on appropriate exercises and she gave me some helpful tips on car modifications for driving since sitting was my biggest limitation. I am now back to work and functioning at 100%. I have been to many physical therapists over the years due to the progression of my scoliosis, and my quest to at least slow it down. Realizing that it can't be stopped, it was imperative to find a physical therapist who had the experience and knowledge to aid me in mine and my doctor's search to achieve the slow down. I don't often write reviews, but Camarillo Physical Therapy is unique. I've had 4 sports related surgeries in the past 10 years, each followed by physical therapy at a different location. All but one were very good, but none provided the level of effectiveness, commitment, and personalized service that Sage has. No one else has combined such knowledge of anatomy with diagnostic and therapeutic ability. I've not only fully recovered from my knee surgery, but have improved my posture and balance to reduce stress on the knee and other areas.
