However, there is one issue that kept me from giving a five star. I've had issues calling the office # 805-389-4781. Every time I call from my cell phone, I get an immediate "User busy" message, but calling from my wife's cell phone immediately after works fine, even though we both have the same carrier. This started after my initial calls to the office number about issuance coverage, where a male staff member seemed a bit impatient with me but transferred me to a helpful staff. When I called back the same day to schedule my appointment, I would get the "User busy" message. This continued throughout the day and still happens every time I call from my phone. I always have to use my wife's phone to make an appointment. The internet say's this message is associated to numbers when they have been blocked. I really can't say. Overall, I'm very happy with the therapy itself, but the call issue has been frustrating. I hope they can resolve it soon for better accessibility.

Oxnard location referred me to there Camarillo location to see there back specialist before going I…read moregot a MRI done at the Oxnard location and was scheduled to the Camarillo to get an MRI. When I went in for my results, the doctor's assistant didn't even know I had already completed the MRI -- she wasn't sure why I was there. I had to explain my back issues all over again, and then she said I needed an X-ray. I told her I came in for my MRI results, and she seemed surprised and asked who referred me. I explained it was the Oxnard office. She then said, "The doctor likes to have both." This left me confused, because my understanding is that an MRI usually provides more than enough detail. On top of that, I had just paid nearly $600 for the MRI. When I asked if my insurance would cover the X-ray, she replied, "They should." My complaint is this: patients need to be informed up front if additional tests are being recommended and whether those tests might require another copay or out-of-pocket costs. It shouldn't just be assumed that insurance will cover it. If the doctor wants both MRI and X-ray, that's fine -- but patients should be given the choice and a clear explanation, especially when significant costs are involved. On top of that, I have been trying to get in touch with the office manager, leaving several voicemails, and still have not received a call back. I think patients should always have the right to seek a second opinion and not just be expected to go along with what one doctor says. Extra tests mean extra money to the office, and we deserve transparency and options before being billed.

Sara, Trina, Lesley, Brooke, Maria, Tiffany, Erika, ...and Filma who schedules all the appointments with a lot of grace and answers the phone. All are kind and very knowledgeable. Eugene is great at communicating with me to find out exactly where the issues are (they tend to move and shift and change a bit week-to-week), and targeting them directly. Whether it be adjusting something new or maintaining the ongoing work, Eugene is on top of it. And although I've had some previous PT, the level of attentiveness that Margo shows when working on the actual exercise routine is beyond what I've had in the past. Margo makes the difficult stuff tolerable, she is solid in her knowledge of what needs to be accomplished, and she has always seemed like a champion of my progress. On top of all that, the office staff is super friendly and helpful, I can't even guess how many times Joanna has helped me with scheduling or billing or providing me with paperwork my insurance company requests. When we came last January for a trial day I knew that we would have substantial challenges moving into a classroom setting. Our son was diagnosed at an early age and does have severe symptoms, as well as being non verbal. But after spending the last four years with various agencies in the DTT model at home, we were ready for a change. After our intake assessment, it was clear that our son wasn't ready for a classroom setting. So instead they made the offer for us to access the clinic for ABA and push into the Academy over time. He's really blossomed in this model. He's totally acclimated to the classroom now, and will be moving into the classroom full time soon. Any complaints I've had have been met with solutions and if there was a problem they could not solve they referred me to someone who could. Mr. Sam and Karlie are great teachers, and the classroom is amazing. Music therapy is twice a week and they have clinics for OT and speech. Once a month there are Saturday camps, and Friday evening camps as well. These don't have an additional cost except for siblings and as long as you have therapy hours available. Holiday events have been so much fun! The school doesn't require verbal only like every other competitor in the area that refuses to serve any other population other than tier 1 verbal kids. So that was a huge plus for us. The program is year round. Overall we are really satisfied, and look forward to the 2019-2020 school year.
