Fantastic all around. The Temaki was HUGE and filling on its own. I am a purist and salmon lover,…read moreso I wanted to keep it simple. I ordered the chili temaki, which was cubed salmon & tuna tossed in an extremely light mayo (can't taste it) and togarashi. It had a slight zing, perfect for spice lovers like myself & those who'd like to try spice but know they can't handle too much. The salmon special roll was classically delicious and refreshing topped with a dollop of kewpie mayo and scallion. I also tried the philly temaki to-go, which used raw salmon instead of the usual smoked and it was appreciated. You truly can't go wrong with their Temakis. I would definitely try a different roll next time or one of the combo sets because they have so many cool options. Besides the food being top notch (obrigado Chef Lucas), the service was also noteworthy. Ana and Gabriel were great. I learned that Gabriel was finishing his last week at Touken when I visited--I came to Touken originally because of all the great service reviews about Gabe, so Touken is definitely losing a valuable asset with Gabe's departure. However, the rest of the team is fantastic and offer a pleasant dining atmosphere. Next time I'm in Orlando, Touken will definitely have to be a pit stop.

Sweet: I enjoyed everything I tried. This time since we came so much I ordered a new item. My favorite is the Aburi salmon - it's lightly torched salmon sashimi over rice. I get that every time. I did enjoy the salon and scallop don as well as the tempura don. Sour: the appetizers aren't anything special especially the shrimp shumai. Seems like the frozen ones you can get at the grocery store. Stick to the don bowls or even the bentos.

Service is quick and the food is fantastic. I use miso soup as a test for how good a place is and theirs was exactly how I like it, small cubes of fresh tofu, reasonably sized wakame, and not too much of any one ingredient. The miso was a milder white but nicely salty and flavorful. You could tell they didn't just phone it in and open an instant packet. I had their curry rice with a pork katsu and it was one of the best I've had in the area. The curry tasted homemade and leaned a bit towards the sweeter side but with a tiny hint of spice. It came with pickles which were just the thing to cut the richness. I also got their spicy garlic edamame which is my second favorite (Sushi Katana by the Milennia Mall has the best IMO). The onigiri was nothing special but great rice consistency and filled with bonito flakes and soy or umeboshi. There are a lot of dishes you don't find on most menus here like salted grilled mackerel fillet and croquettes. Funny enough there's very little sushi for a place with sushi in the name but I was ok with that because their kitchen food is what to come for. I also love that it has the vibe of a small Japanese restaurant with the option to sit at the counter and give you that "salaryman on a quick lunch" vibe.

The sushi rice here is the best I've had since Hatsuhana. The rice makes a huge difference. The service was fantastic and the food was amazing. Sushi Tomi is one of the original secret Asian American staples of Orlando that opened in 2013 back when Orlando was known as Mickey Mouse's backyard. It's decently priced, albeit far, and provides a nice sense of comfort. We went on a week night and they were still super busy. Located closer to East Colonial area, it's at 8463 S John Young Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32819. Their claim to fame are their bento boxes and different lunch and dinner sets, which is to say you will leave full with a balanced meal. I won't lie, I have been wanting to go for the longest time. I felt like some kid pressing his face up against a window, just watching everyone go and enjoy their meal. So this was really great for me, personally. I got their dinner tempura and sushi set. The set came with miso soup and salad as well as a variety of meats and veggies that had been tempura coated and fried with a side of rice. I also ordered a sparkling jelly sake drink, a tamago nigiri and eel nigiri. My overall portion costed about $45 without tip. The set gets a 8.5/10 rating from me. I kinda wish I just went with the tempura set instead of trying to have the best of both worlds. Not that the sushi was bad or anything, but the tempura was really the star of the show. It was so fresh and crispy and light and amazing with the sauce they served it with. The sushi was fine and well made, I just had heart eyes for the tempura. The tamale nigiri and the eel nigiri was good, but not the best I have ever had. They had other things on their menu, but I really recommend going here for Japanese basic meals or comfort meals. I think it's not dazzling, but provides you with a sense of comfort. Not to mention the service was amazing, and it truly was authentic and not gentrified. My overall rating is 9/10 for the whole experience. I will be back whenever I am in the area.

We sat at the bar, where the chef was meticulously preparing sushi rolls and sashimi. We spoke with a woman there who said she had travelled all over the place and had just come back from Vegas and this was the best sushi she'd ever had. It was certainly the best sushi I have ever had. The fish was so fresh- you can see it in coolers when you walk in and you can tell just by looking at it how high quality it is. The Toro tuna roll practically melted in my mouth- it was so good. The crab and Akami rolls were also favorites. Unlike a lot of restaurants these days, which pack people in like sardines, making it loud and overwhelming. Mosonori felt like an intimate and personal experience. The food was so good and the ambience so inviting- I never wanted it to end. I will be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

You could actually taste the lavender and lychee , so smooth, also such a beautiful presentation! The restaurant is small with a very modern feel; there is ample bar seating and two seater tables with stools along the wall that ended with a sleek, classy dry ager displaying their recently caught fish. It was so neat to see the catches, such a cool touch. The restaurant was clean and organized, natural and mood lighting added to the ambiance. The cigar sized hand rolls were absolutely delicious. The chef prepared everything behind the bar and it made the experience feel authentic. I ordered the 6- hand roll from the set menu; that included hamachi, bay scallop, salmon, crab, toro, and lobster. I also tried the mushroom and Yamaimo. Hamachi- Incredibly smooth with a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth texture. Scallop- The individual scallops were tender and lightly seasoned; they were so cute and tiny! Salmon- creamy and tender; the bright pink was also so beautiful to look at. Crab- very much real crab; shredded, but with a nice crab chunks. Lobster- the succulent morsels in this hand roll took me out of real life and on to a beach. Mushroom- LAST MEAL GOOD. Buttery warm, delicious; delicately earthy with garlic that was cooked, just the right amount- not too spicy, but just the right amount of bite. Yamaimo- The crunch was something between a melon and a cucumber, almost airy. It had a spicy kick. Spicy tuna- I don't even like spicy tuna. This was not offensively spicy, like the perfect level of heat. All of the fish was fresh- I could taste the quality. The nori that each hand roll was wrapped in had a nice snap with each bite and it was not too salty. I cannot wait to go back

Dim lights and couches making it feel casual but yet upscale at the same time. The host and the wait staff was super attentive and great to have, no issues or problems with them. They were very kind and accommodating and super helpful in terms of trying to figure out all allergies and what my child could or cannot eat, but also make adjustments so that she has options. Now for the food! We had gotten the beef skewer and chicken skewers as appetizers and let me tell you they were probably the best meat skewers that I've had in a Izakaya style Japanese restaurant. The steak was so tender and had great flavor, same with the chicken! The sauce was good, maybe a bit too heavy on the sauce but good pairing! 5/5 The tuna flight was . So good and the cuts of tuna was so tender and was amazing, good garnishes on top! 5/5 The rolls, we got a couple Yellow Fever: it was good, I'm not sure if I was a fan of the asparagus but it was good to have every now and then every other bite or so but not every time. It did have a slight kick to it but I liked it. Distinguished Gentleman: was great. The meat was tender and it had good flavor and my kids enjoyed it as a more kid friendly sushi, but I also enjoyed one bite that I was able to sneak before the kids devoured it. Shrimp Tempura roll (specially made for allergies): Standard goodness! I also almost forgot, I had gotten King Salmon nigiri and also eel nigiri, salmon was good! Normal salmon vibes 4/5 but the eel...probably the most disappointing menu item tbh. Tasted like the frozen Asian grocery store eel, just underwhelming and not a little tough. 2/5 wouldn't order again. but Overall, it was everything was great, we had good service and good food! It's a bit expensive but I Would come back!

Interior was gorgeous, with fun hand drawn art on the walls. It was not very busy and the atmosphere was calm and quiet with spacious and clean bathrooms. We received a "happy hour" menu from our server and we were shocked at the prices. Two extremely large portions of meat, vegetables, rice, side salad, soup, and desert for only forty dollars ($20~ for each person) My brother and dad shared it and I kept picking at their meat and vegetables because they tasted so good. I ordered two sushi rolls from the same menu and the plating was beautiful. Two large rolls with a bonsai tree and small vase with smoke pouring out of it. The experience felt like a Michelin star restaurant in Japan. I was shocked at the large pile of ginger they provided, and was even more surprised at how good it tasted. All ginger usually tastes the same to me but this place's ginger was fantastic! The two sushi rolls I got were the Air Force and Volcano rolls, and they were expertly made and delicious. Our waitress was very sweet and knew the menu well. We didn't look at the menu beforehand since we just walked in, and I was able to tell her what I specifically liked in sushi and she recommended me four to five rolls. She checked in with us plenty of times and we ordered right before 5:50ish and got all of our food at 6:10!

This is another hole in the wall restaurant, which means it's gonna be really good or really bad, with no in between. The price was fantastic for lunch! Less than $15 for two decent rolls and miso soup. The soup was decent, but had an odd fishy taste that I don't usually get from miso soup, it wasn't the seaweed it was an off taste. The sushi rolls were pretty decent, but I couldn't eat the whole Alaska roll that I got since the salmon didn't taste right it tasted fishy too. Later that day I had stomach issues, so I don't believe the sushi was the best quality. Not my pic for a recurring sushi restaurant, but if you're looking for cheap sushi, here it is.
