Hana Fresh is affiliated with Hana Medical Center and aims to bring a healthier lifestyle to this community. They grow a lot of their own food on the farm behind, and serve it up fresh daily. You will find their farm stand/restaurant just as you enter the little town of Hana, on your right. Many healthy eating options, either prepared or cooked to order. There is a small farm stand where you can buy some of the vegetables and fruits that they grow. I bought some of the peppers, but had to refrain from buying any of their delicious looking food because the timing was not right. Definitely want to come back another time and try the grilled fish kebabs, or one of the colorful salads. There is a shaded picnic area for eating and plenty of parking.

"The proceeds from Hāna Fresh sales support Hāna Health programs and services." Such an awesome stand with an awesome mission. We arrived to Hana a lot earlier than we had planned. Not many options for food were available yet with it still being morning. With the little bit of cellphone service I had, I managed to pull up Yelp and find Hana Fresh, and I'm so glad I did! The women running the stand we're welcoming and polite. There were different pre packaged items on ice for something quick, such as pasta salads and quinoa salads. The menu had a good amount of offerings from sandwiches to chicken plates. The prices are very fair and reasonable. I had the fish kebobs and they were more than I could have hoped for! Well seasoned and a large portion- definitely my money's worth! It came with the biggest scoop of brown rice and the best fruit salsa I've ever had! Their menu changes to reflect what is seasonal. Parking was plentiful and there is plenty of covered picnic tables to enjoy your food at.

Had the BLTA salad and the portobello mushroom Panini with goar cheese. Both were amazing and (execpt bacon) healthy! Friendly staff and the lady that prepares the food takes new gloves for every dish!

Grabbed a chicken salad baguette from here this afternoon to eat for supper. WOW! It is fabulous! We stayed here last night & I'm now wishing I had noticed them on the drive in. I also picked up some bananas and they are very fresh. The two ladies were super friendly and I am quite happy to support such a great business in Hana. I'll be stopping tomorrow on our way out to grab something, perhaps one of those beautiful salads! I hope to see them still here when we return in 2018!!

This place is da BOMB folks!! They have grown so much over the years, started as a farm stand to sell their fresh organic produce grown on the Hana Health Center property as a fundraiser. Then they invited other food vendors and struggled with county laws to remain open as a food establishment. Today they are gloriously OFFICIAL, that are themselves now with the highest standards of quality and freshness... don't miss it! Breakfast fruit bowls, fresh fruit smoothies and fresh juices ... outta this world fresh lunch salad and sandwiches... OMG I am in LOVE!!!

We bought two poke bowls and the tuna was hard to bite and slimy. We actually trashed it and made spaghetti instead.

Great food, ohana service, and they even serve the panini's in a reusable tupper-ware that's definitely worth keeping!

Our tour guide, Brett, was fantastic--knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly passionate about organic farming and growing the most delicious fruit. The tasting experience was incredible. We sampled the most delicious papaya, mango, pomelo, mountain apples, and several other tropical fruits--many of which we had never tried before. Every bite was fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavor. It was not only a treat for the taste buds but also very educational. We left with a much deeper appreciation for the land and the dedication it takes to grow organic produce in harmony with nature. We also took a box of fruit with us to enjoy during the rest of our trip, which kept the experience going for days afterward. If you're headed down the Road to Hana, make sure to stop here. It's more than a tour--it's an experience. We would absolutely go again!

We got to try out papaya, bilimbi, caviar lime, pomelo, sweetsop, durian and so much more! The drive was gorgeous, as always, and Nick is a fantastic guide. We took our 9 year old, and she absolutely loved it. The tour was never tedious or boring for her, and is one of the highlights of her trip. Nick packed us up with fruit to leave with, and we shared it with friends on the beach as part of Thanksgiving. What a hit! Everyone was so amazed by the variety and quality of the fruit, even nearby beach goers stopped by to ask where we got it from. I think Ono will be on the itinerary for many people in the future after that beach outing. The tour is also great for people with limited mobility since most of it is on a golf cart. If you're on a multi-generational vacation here, this is definitely something both young, old and in the middle will enjoy. Also, a review from our child, "I like Ono farms because I got to taste each and every fruit that was in season. It's better than video games. I like the fruit they send us home with. I've been eating it all day, every day since. Thank you!"

Wow Farm - Wow Farm's many varieties of heirloom tomatoes. Sweet!

What I appreciated was the farm to table concept, since they supply many restaurants along the Kona coast, with their plump, sweet, non slimy, or gritty tomatoes. Mike and Tricia have read and gained wisdom from the professionals on how you can adjust the sweetness of the tomatoes, which I was dumbfounded and never knew that you could tweak a tomato. This is a business that involves all of the ohana and is done so with passion and a commitment towards quality. Mike and Tricia have a heart to share their knowledge and wisdom with other farmers as well, to build them up and see them become fruitful. There is a push towards bringing the community together and truly getting to know your neighbors. They have gone out of their way to share what they have with others, those who can afford it and to those who have run into hard times. I wish everyone could try their tomatoes, then you'd know what I am talking about, and draw your own conclusion, to this heavenly fruit (I still consider it a vegetable, no matter what). I live on Oahu and so anytime I visit Kona, I make sure I stop at the local open market in Kamuela to buy these. When you go look for the Wow Farm sign and their red palaka shirts, strike up a conversation and enjoy buying some of these delicate treasures. Omg, if you're on Oahu you can get these at the local farmers market on certain day's.
