We were a relatively larger group, around 11 people, so we got some of the tables in the open space. Since this is pocha, this was family-style group food. Rose tteobokki - Creamy and mildy spicy rose sauce. Plenty of rice cakes, strips of fish cakes, and some sausages as well. Corn cheese - Hot and cheesy, cannot go wrong with this. It was actually also free with proof of two Google/Yelp reviews. Steamed pork belly - I didn't get to try this but people who did said it was good! Stir fried bulgogi - Lots of shredded bulgogi; delicious! Kimchi pancakes - Great medium for a lot of the other dishes There was also a cheese bulgogi udon dish that was generously provided on the house. Those three words on their own are enough to know that they were delicious. Lastly, in terms of service, the staff were all in all timely with drinks and getting dishes out of the way. Great casual restaurant perfect for getting together for friends or a late night bite. They have a few little side rooms for small parties, maybe 6 ppl each, but there's a section in the middle for open seating. We ordered the chicken wings and brisket spicy vege soup with ramen. We orders the chicken wings plain without sauce, so they were dry. It didn't look like there was any breading. Probably would have been better if they were sauced. Then they brought out the soup. Five minutes later they brought a bowl of ramen noodles, which they mixed into the soup. We started with the soup, which was full of vegetables and tasted like beef soup with spicy ramen seasoning. Initially, we planned to eat elsewhere once I landed in DFW,, but the place closed earlier than they told us over the phone. Nonetheless, we knew that Han Shin Pocha was still open until 2AM as usual. Our group of four arrived around 1AM-ish and waited about five minutes until we were seated in one of the private rooms. Even though the private rooms have a sliding door, it doesn't muffle any outside noises. So, you can see hear everyone else in the restaurant loud and clear. We ordered the Hanshin Grilled Eel, Seafood Pancake, Seafood Rice Cake, and Stir Bulgogi Udong Noodle with Cheese. This was actually a lot of food for the four of us, since everyone else ate a bit beforehand. Everything was really good though! The food is amazing. The chicken feet broth was very spicy and was perfect with the rice balls and fried chicken gizzards. The service was excellent and they refilled the bean sprouts when we ran out. I would recommend piling the bean sprouts on top of the broth and adding some soup in it as well. What a cool late night hangout spot. Came to check this place out after our friends were raving about the pork belly. They have these cool individual rooms in the middle of the restaurant that you can close off to semi isolate yourselves from the lively crowd. Servers are not into small talk (which is totally fine with me) and get right down to business bringing your food out in a flash. Just use the doorbell on the table and they come right over. So many delicious items on the menu - the portions are pretty large and are meant to be shared. A couple appetizers and two entrees should feed a party of 4. If you're a fan of chicken gizzards, they have two versions - deep fried and stir fried - we opted for the deep fried ones and they were great. You can tell they took the time to clean them well before cooking so that there's no gaminess. Just some fried gizzard-dy goodness. The potato pancakes that I kept calling hash browns were awesome. It is legit similar to a hash brown but better! It's nice and clearly all the way through without being burnt and is served with some tuna salad dipping sauce. I really enjoyed the texture. Pork belly - how could you ever go wrong ordering pork belly from a Korean restaurant? It was everything I expected it to be - soft texture all the way through, you can tell they probably cooked it slow and low for many hours. Chicken feet stew - I wanted so much to finish this dish but I'll be honest with you - I couldn't handle more than a few feet. Normally not a fan of chicken feet but the spice/flavor was super addicting.. just that it was a little too spicy for me. The flavor was so good though - it reminds me of those super spicy Korean ramen challenge spice packs. If you can take the heat and are a fan of chicken feet, I'd recommend it. I have come to Hanshin I think at least 4 times now within a few months span. It's definitely one of our go tos and favorites for a group setting for family style. I have no complaints of the food or service. You can typically call ahead if it's a big party and they will reserve a table for you. I've had many seafood pancakes before, but only Han Shin Pocha makes the seafood pancake the right amount of crispiness, and it has a generous amount of seafood. Pretty nice place to bring 3-5 people. They have korean band music playing with a large projector so you can enjoy it, its not unbearable loud compared to a normal bar. I got the Army Stew type meal think it was spicy meat mix with veggies and ramen and beef brisket with green onions. The stew was good! It had a little bit of everything from rice cake to tofu to spam! We ordered another ramen package and it hit the spot! The Beef Brisket was good as well, kinda like chinese flat noodles without the noodles in terms of taste in my opinion. Meat was decent, and the veggies were all refreshing. I tell you what - this was my first time at a Pocha, and I promise it won't be my last. One of my friends took me here with a group, and we had a wonderful time. The whole concept was new to me. Your table is housed in this intimate room and service is initiated by the push of a button. And it's awesome. No getting bugged by wait staff and it allows for great conversation. My partner and I have frequented quite a few Korean Pochas, and I'd say this is one of our favorites! There are numbered rooms with sliding doors, for privacy and quiet. In my experience, the servers here are always attentive and hardworking. For sharing, I'd highly recommend Budae Jjigae (mixed meat and veggie stew). The okonomiyaki is also tasty. With soju, of course. Side note, they do provide feminine hygiene products in the women's restrooms! Plus there is a written sign encouraging to ask a staff member if you need one in an emergency. this place is the closest place to a korean pub that i've been to in carrollton. the atmosphere is very nice yet still busy. the menu is very expansive! we got the stir fried pork belly and they were grilled to perfection, the cheese was a bit much but some people like cheese with it. i like the flavor of the pork belly, it's not too spicy! the cheese corn was really good too, a classic find. good amount of cheese to corn ratio, a lot of corn actually which i appreciated. we also got the potato pancakes which were really crispy, and they came with 8! it also came with tuna salad which i've never had with a potato pancake before but it was okay. overall solid place, just a bit far from me but the atmosphere and food are solid read more

Overall had a pretty great experience at Hanshin Pocha! Came here with a handful of friends to just hang out and drink and eat and the vibe was nice inside. I also really like the decorations and the way the individual rooms look from the outside! We went on a Saturday night and it was busy but it wasn't totally packed which I liked a lot, it was a little bit easier to have conversations and actually be able to listen. I didn't have too much of the food but I had a couple of bites of the bossam and it was very tasty!! It wasn't quite like the bossam I've had at other places or at home but it was still delicious. And I'm so glad that we did. The interior is cozy and lovely. I absolutely loved the aesthetic and atmosphere of the place. Their service was fast and friendly. They had more than enough items on the menu to choose from and the portion sizes were more than enough to feed two people. The food came out fresh and fast. We tried the pork belly and the seafood rice cake (tteokbokki) between two people and it was more than enough food. We had leftovers to take home! They do not allow service dogs tried to make up his own rules saying I needed a muzzle and or a kennel. Hanshin Pocha was my favorite K-bar/pocha to go to in Atlanta, so I was excited to see that they had this Carrollton as well. I went with a few friends on a Friday evening, and the place was fairly empty, but there was a wait for the rooms. Wanting the privacy, we decided to wait and was seated within 15 minutes. The interior is quite different from ATL's Hanshin -- instead of its standalone tenant like GA, this place is in a strip mall and is quite smaller. There are more interior decorations in this place, but I also did notice that this place does not allow indoor smoking (unlike ATL). When I took a glance at the menu, I saw that it was almost identical to the one back home. My favorite is the bossam, so we decided to order that and an order of boodae jjigae as well. We also got some jinro's and terra's for our somaek. We got the kimchi pancakes as the appetizer. Our food came out shortly, and I must say the bossam did not disappoint once again. In fact, I think the bossam tasted better here than the one in ATL. So flavorful and they definitely coated the outside with some sugar or some glaze giving it this semi-sweet taste. The boodae jjigae was also very good, with plentiful toppings (spam, sausage, rice cake, ramen). They were both very good bar foods and I was very impressed. I'm so glad they have something like Hanshin in DFW -- I did hear that some of the menus here aren't as great (the menu in ATL has never disappointed. Not a single one.) but I will definitely be frequenting them more often for bossam or whenever I need my somaek. read more

What makes Han Shin stand out from the rest of other establishments is the quality of the food as well as the freebies when you drink. Regarding food, everything I had so far has been really good or at least worth trying. There's a picture book for the menu so you can see what you're going to get. If you're particular, they're suppose to be known for their chicken feet I heard. As far as the freebies goes, it's pretty much a fried egg, kimchi pancake, or ramen when you drink. The patrons varied in age so one did not feel too young or too old. Some karaoke rooms were available should the alcohol "encourage" someone to think they are the secret member of BTS or expressing the joys/frustrations of life in song. We ordered beef with leeks/bean sprouts along with fried chicken. I thought the beef/leek dish was great while the super sized cornish hen was a bit dry. I will stick with plus 1 chicken for my chicken fix. Any rate a lot of great offerings on the menu. The staff was professional; This is great in a bar scene. We heard it was new so we wanted to check it out and I'm glad we did! This is great...very spicy. but for people that can handle the spiciness, the burning sensation is better than an orgasm ! taste good and even better if you add in soft tofu and ramen. You can also add some water to the sauce and reheat it with a microwave if you are doing to -go. My go to place now for chicken feet and other korean snack late at night.
