Exceptional suturing work. This was a large area and you can barely see any scare. This gal is a magician!

I am in the medical profession and understand the difference between a board certified plastic surgeon versus a licensed MD practicing plastic surgery. Dr. Lee is a gifted plastic surgeon who is meticulous in her communication with very precise surgical skills. She came highly recommended because I had a large and deep cyst that needed to be removed from the center of my left cheek. Every incision will leave some form of a scar, but since my cyst was in such a visible location, I was concerned that it would leave a huge scar that would result in a deep depression in my cheek. Dr. Lee was extremely careful and skilled in cutting the skin and suturing the sides together in a fine and hidden line. It required 15 stitches and fortunately the cyst was benign. The stitches looked "Frankenstein-ish" for the first 9 days until they were removed. In approximately 3 weeks post-surgery the result was absolutely excellent. My wife can't even see the scar. If you are shopping for a substandard plastic surgeon who doesn't have the credentials, has bought a Beverly Hills office address, and hypes their practice on social media - good luck. At the end of the day, this isn't a personality contest. What matters are results. Dr. Lee produced an excellent result for me utilizing her skilled experience with the fine art of plastic surgery. read more

Will not be coming here again. We found Dr. Lee to be very impatient, rude, dismissive, & lacking any personable bedside manner whatsoever. All 3 visits she would come in with her iPad and "freeze gun", do a quick, dry sales pitch in what she thinks you need (so you have to pay cash vs ins coverage) Then eager to freeze off any "suspicious" moles, freckles you may have. She literally stood right in front of my husband with her cryo gun, swaying back and forth waiting for our answer if we wanted to proceed or not. Vs giving us time to discuss alone, she stood there invading his space with her cryo gun in hand, just staring at my husband and I as we tried to talk it over. It was extremely awkward, & she was getting impatient, on top of sensing our hesitancy having to pay a large sum out of pocket. She then quickly changed the price, pretended to review "her notes" stating she could offer a bit of a "lower rate" because our "insurance" all of a sudden. Looking back the whole experience was laughable. Hard to imagine a doctor would lack that much bedside manner and be so oblivious of their demeanor. Everything about her and her practice seemed sketchy & dishonest. They won't even look up or call your insurance, so expect to pay cash. Being medical professionals ourselves, we're familiar with the standard levels of care & expectations. Unfortunately Dr. Lee did not meet that criteria, and we will not be referring anyone from Huntington. read more

I came in because of an epidermoid cyst. The appointment seemed rushed and I saw Dr. Lee for probably less than 10 minutes. She seemed to be in a hurry and a bit cold. After injecting me with cortisone and prescribing antibiotics, she quickly referred me to a general surgeon. She asked about facial acne during my visit for some reason and tried to get me to purchase medication which I declined at checkout because that's not what I came in for. I ended up getting a second opinion with another medical team in Santa Monica that was more attentive and that administered 3 doses of cortisone and antibiotics over a few months and successfully treated my cyst without having to do any surgery. I believe she's a competent doctor but her bedside manner is really lacking. Patients need to feel listened to and cared about during visits and I just didn't get that from her. read more

I was referred to Dr. Lee by my dermatologist after it was discovered that I had some suspicious skin cells just above my left ankle. After multiple biopsies a skin graft was ultimately required. Throughout the process Dr. Lee was always available, whether it was an office visit, discussion on the telephone, texting or virtual meeting. Dr. Lee always took time to answer any questions that I had and was committed to providing me with the best possible outcome. She was always friendly, but made it known that the success of the operation was a collaborative process that required that I follow her instructions. Dr. Lee's assistant, Vi, was also a pleasure to work with during my experience. She was attentive in applying dressings, making appointments, calling in prescriptions and promptly returning my telephone calls. read more

I had an appointment with Dr. Lee, but didn't even get to see her due to a woman that worked up front. I called lost, having been new to the area at the time, and she was immediately rude and ended up hanging up on me without any directions. Basically she kept saying, "It's not that difficult! We're on Fair Oaks!" Well, it was difficult since I had been given the wrong address come to find out. Also it was difficult for someone with rheumatoid arthritis to fill out ten pages of paperwork already being late. I went to the desk and asked if there was a chance I should get some help or should I just leave because it was going to take me a very long time. This same woman said with attitude condescension, "Well, I imagine she wants to leave work at some point today. So yeah, you could leave." Nothing against the doctor because I hear she's great, but having an in compassionate staff to the disabled or just the new to the area doesn't speak highly of the office in general. I'd suggest they have some sensitivity training and realize it's not our fault if they are having a bad day or life. read more

Tried to call for an appointment, but the receptionist just hung up on me while I was talking. I couldn't hear her clearly, so I said " hello? ", then she just hung up. It happened twice. I don't think they want a new patient. read more

As a current and long time patient of this group practice, I am appalled at the rude attitude of the reception staff. The definition of reception is, (The formal or ceremonious welcoming of guests). This is unfortunate because I had to find another dermatologist that is a provider of my insurance plan. read more

Dr. Lee made my visit very comfortable. She is very knowledgeable and provided me with all the information I needed to know about laser hair removal. I wasn't too sure about my threshold of pain so she provided me with some numbing cream on my legs before proceeding. It worked like a charm! I barely felt anything. =) She is really easy to get along with and very down to earth. The office is very spacious and doesn't make you feel all tense like most doctors' offices seem to do. The staff is all very friendly and professional. The only downside I can think of is not being able to tan during the summer until my laser sessions are done. I saw Dr. Han Lee today and was appalled at her bedside manner. (Her front office staff was for the most part, fine.) I felt like I was intruding on Dr. Lee's time, and my whole visit probably lasted 5-7 minutes. She entered the room and her greeting was a cold "How can I help you?". Um, what. She was abrupt, cold, borderline rude, and did not take the time to explain anything to me, including a biopsy she recommended after implying that my issue was not a big deal. She left the door open while talking to me, until I asked if she could close it -- what happened to patient privacy?? After the biopsy, she was ready to send me on my way -- I had to ask her how I should care for the incision. My whole visit with her was incredibly disappointing. Would not recommend her AT ALL. I'm sure she is a competent doctor, but dealing with her was so unpleasant. And when people have medical issues, you want a doctor who takes the time to answer questions, explain things, and generally be a polite and pleasant person. This is NOT Dr. Han Lee. read more

I did not experience the rudeness of the front office staff or of Dr. Lee that others did. She's not exceedingly friendly but cordial. Over arching impression - if you want a Botox or filler injection, or some laser skin treatment, this is the place. If you want a dermatologist to treat a skin disease, not so much. They do seem to be about recommending expensive skin treatments. read more

Like the other reviews suggest, Dr. Lee treats your visit as a business. I called prior to visiting to have an idea of how much I should expect to pay. When I finished my visit, she said I went over the allotted time by 10 minutes and charged me an extra $75! I didn't even know there was an allotted time and was never told so! Such crooks! Go somewhere else. She does not come off as friendly and her replies to your questions are very short . I felt mugged after the visit. read more

Dr. Lee is an amazing very talented Doctor! I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma on my face. I had to have Mohs sugery performed, needless to say I was very nervous about having a scar on my cheek. One week later the sutures were removed and I can hardly see anything! She did an amazing job! Dr. Lee is an excellent dermatologist. She is extremely knowledgable and very friendly. Both my mother and I see her for mole-related issues and we are always impressed by her work and expertise. I have been seeing Dr. Lee for years. We have a family history of melanomas, so I always make annual visits. She's thorough and proactive, and will explain her reasoning for any suggested procedure. I am writing this review because I was looking for Dr. Lee's number to refer her to a friend. I was very surprised to see a negative review which is so far removed from my experience with her and her staff and I feel compelled to comment. While I can understand being annoyed at having to wait, the office is very new, and perhaps the staff were new at the time as well. Dr. Lee has been punctual in my experience and her staff have been very friendly and accommodating. I think it is fair to say that the reviewer's experience was an exception, at least given my and other reviewers experiences with Dr. Lee. I have found Dr. Lee to be very personable and approachable, yet she obviously has a vast knowledge of dermatology and is highly skilled. She explains everything and unlike some doctors, she is sensitive to your personal preferences and respects them. For example, I had some concerns about local anesthetics, so Dr. Lee simply said she could use a saline injection if I preferred. She was very matter of fact about it and didn't make me feel like it was an unreasonable request, even though in some ways it certainly isn't going to be a common request. I really like her and recommend her. She is a great combination of high competence, intelligence and great bedside manner. read more

She is very competent, knows her limitations, and exhibits an attitude of humble honesty when discussing protocol for serious health issues. I am very happy that I started coming to Dr. HAn (she was referred by a friend of mine and I have since referred another of my friends to her - we are all very pleased with Dr. Han). The staff and nurses at Comp. Derm. are all very efficient and helpful as well. I am very happy to be a patient here and I know that I am safe and in good skilled hands with Dr. Lee. If there was one thing I would like to change it would be a more open willingness to work with patients to try things that may require extra effort (such as getting authorization from an insurance company for something that is not top of their list for preferred treatment). One more plus is that there is no 'hard sell' for services and if the patient brings up a Q for about other services they provide good literature and do a good job with any Q & A you may have about new treatments. read more

Dr Lee- first has high integrity, well studied, and great skills/ empathetic, great communication, and a real human- as contrasted to the 3 Trillion Dollar medical business in USA! Cancer of any type is like Ambulance Chasing PI Lawyers or bottom feeders! Enter a few as Dr Lee- the exception to these scam artists! I had a basil cell skin on my face. Dr Lee, removed it using MOH- techniques! There are a couple MOH doctor's in Pasadena!.. HONG is another, I hear a great re-constructive plastic doctor, and does MOH... My opinion is-he is about money, as I have seen him before, for a blepho eye lid lift/ in whihc he tried to sell me on a multi $$$ thousand dollar surgery- above Medicare approved coverage. If one has skin cancers, MOH technique is the correct procedure for removal. read more

As many of the reviews say, ZERO patience for you as a patient, rude, talks to you like you are a moron. So though she might be a good Dr. the bedside manner of her and the staff defeats the point. I kept feeling like I was being hustled to spend monies of products and tests. read more

Dr. Lee does not take the time to explain things to you - she's in and out and just doesn't make you feel at ease. She is not warm and she will make you wait as she is juggling all her patients because her office tends to overbook. Do not recommend at all. read more

Talk about a magnificent doctor! Dr. Lee is awesome all around....one of the best doctors I've ever been to, and certainly the best dermatologist. Her new Pasadena office is gorgeous and her touch is like, well, magic. After suffering for years with terrible acne scars on both cheeks, Dr. Lee smoothed my skin and literally changed my life.
