However, my experience completely changed afterward. Today, I needed to replace my brake pads and attempted to remove the wheels myself. I was unable to loosen the lug nuts because they had been tightened extremely hard during my previous visit. While trying to remove them, I broke one of the wheel studs due to the excessive force required. I stopped immediately and went back to Orange Tire to address the issue. I explained that I had been there a month ago and that their team had overtightened the lug nuts to the point where I couldn't remove them. Instead of taking responsibility, the staff initially tried to blame rust. I can understand one stuck lug nut -- but not three out of five on a single wheel. That's not normal and clearly indicates improper torque. The manager spent about 15-20 minutes on the phone (possibly with the owner), and eventually told me that I would need to purchase new parts myself, bring them in, and they would replace them for free. I offered a simple and reasonable solution -- just reimburse the cost so I could handle the repair myself and not waste additional time. However, the owner responded in a dismissive and unfriendly manner, refusing any refund and insisting I follow their process. This situation shows a lack of accountability and poor customer service. What started as a great experience turned into a very disappointing one. Be careful -- over-tightened lug nuts can cause serious damage and additional expenses.

I had a nail in my tire and originally booked an appointment for repair. When I checked tire this morning it needed air and I realized it was time to replace the front two. When I arrived at store Julian assisted me. He "checked" all four tires for wear. The front tires were 4/32. Definitely time for replacement. The rears according to his reading were 6/32. He advised I replace all 4 because they needed it. I've attached a thread chart from Google. Tires at 6/32 are rated GOOD. Julian is a deceitful person who is obviously rewarded for selling new tires vs honestly accessing a vehicle's tire with the customers best interest at heart. Discount Tire use to be reliable but no more. I paid $1,184 for two tires. The installation was done quickly. Definitely must say the installation was exceptional and well worth praise. Unfortunately the sales team cannot be trusted. I'm going to look elsewhere for tires now. I don't need the aggravation of being lied to and deceived by dishonest business. Truly disgusting that Discount Tire is more interested in selling their customers unnecessary merchandise vs respecting loyalty from customers who have trusted them for more than a decade.
