Went there for the first time even though we have lived in the area for quite a while. Never heard about it until a friend recommended. Everything you would want in a cozy, informal relaxed dining experience. Homemade delicious food and totally unpretentious service. I had the broccoli rabe, sausage pasta that was awesome. Found this little gem while searching for a place to eat on our way to the shore. My mom and I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and were so delighted with our meals. The staff was SO friendly, we even got to sample a piece of freshly fried eggplant that the chef was making at that moment! I indulged in comfort food of tomato soup and a grilled cheese, and my mom wound up having an eggplant panini. The menu was very enticing and the decor was adorable. This place is AMAZING The only way to describe it is grandma's cooking if your grandma was a culinary graduate. My wife and I were driving around looking to find a new place to eat dinner at Saturday night after about an hour of me just driving aimlessly she picked my phone up and found Hampton Junction so we head there.When we got there it was packed but they were able to fit us in (if you plan on going for dinner you might want to make reservations) and I am glad they did because I had one of the best meals of my life so good in fact I couldn't wait to go back so my wife and I had lunch there today. Two of my college friends and I had a leisurely lunch today at Hampton Junction. The food was homemade, fresh, and delicious! I had a Stromboli with ricotta, mozzarella, and spinach. I have never tasted such tender pizza dough! Usually, you need a steak knife to cut the dough because it's so tough, but not at this place. The employees were attentive and friendly and explained that all their meals are made to order instead of frozen and reheated. Their menu is expansive, so there's something for everyone. The Hampton Junction is my local "go-to" spot. It is so homey and comfortable- it's like walking into your mothers kitchen and being well fed. The food is delicious! Made from scratch orders. Beautiful breakfast treats (cinnamon buns are AMAZING) and after dinner desserts. The home made bread and pizzas are TO DO FOR. Nothing beats a pork roll, egg and cheese on their home made bread! I cant gush enough about their pizzas! They are made with their own home made mozzarella- the margherita is always delicious. My second favorite is a white pizza with spinach, broccoli and roasted garlic. They also have a wood burning pizza oven. The head cook also makes all of her pastas from scratch. On Thursday pasta nights you will catch her rolling out the dough for your plate of angel hair, and running it several times through the pasta machine to get it delicately thin. My wife and I had one of the best meals we have had in a while here last night. The home made pasta was delicious as was the marinara sauce. The fried calamari and salads were excellent. One of the best chicken parm dinners I have had in a long time. The meatballs were excellent, and the home made bread very good. Calling this place a deli is a disservice, it is so much more. So we went here for breakfast the other day and it was quite good. We got some omelets and waffles, it all tasted fresh, and was very nicely plated. The downside was it took WAY too long to get the food. We even heard the owner telling the cook, that no one wants to wait more then 20 minutes for breakfast. He was a young kid, so not sure if he was just nervous or what, but once the owner jumped in everything went faster. But my egg was only slightly warm when it came out, cheese not really melted. And the waffle we got, although very tasty was not warm either and we bit into a large slab of butter that I'm assuming was supposed to be melted on the hot waffles, if they had been hot, but since they weren't it was just a huge slab of butter under the whip cream. Overall we would go back but would probably order ahead of time. read more

Found this hole in the wall on yelp and tried it based on the recommendations. Definitely not disappointed !!! The pasta is literally made right there where you can see it. The people are incredibly nice and the food is delicious. My husband ordered the chicken parm and I had to try the eggplant rollitini that everyone raves about. We were very pleased. The portions were a good size and we both left very happy and full! We will make sure to come back with wine next time as this place is byob. We ordered the calamari which was delicious and very generous. Wednesday was "fish" night (Specials) I ordered the $20 pre-fixed meal which started with a very rich and creamy tomato soup. This is our favorite Italian restaurant in all of Hunterdon County!! The owners are awesome and always remember faces. Not only that it's an open kitchen so you can see all of the pastas being handmade in front of you! It's usually always crowded. It's so authentic and traditional. Prices are on point for what you're getting. The mussels appetizer and mommy sticks are hands down amazing! I could eat that alone as a meal.
