We unfortunately needed to switch hotels at the last minute due to a watermain break in Scranton. We were driving from Maryland for a wedding so we had to quickly find a new hotel, rebook, get to our new hotel and change clothes to head to the wedding. This hotel was so clean. Room was comfy. Our stay with short, but if we're ever in the area again, I would absolutely book this hotel. read more

From the moment we walked in till we checked out the next morning we were impressed! The check-in process was painless and the person checking us in was friendly and professional. The lobby was clean, the elevator also and our room was perfect. We liked the fact that we could login to AppleTV+ & Netflix for our tv watching time. At check-out that process also went very smoothly and the person at the counter was friendly and professional. We have nothing to say bad about our stay. read more

Do not recommend! They quote you one price when you check in, and then double the price at checkout. Very unprofessional. Debbie the manager was rude and nit helpful with this problem. Stay away, they will rip you off. read more

We had a wonderful welcome upon arrival. The staff is friendly and so very helpful. The hotel is spotless. The breakfast buffet is good. We had a choice of fresh cut up berries, hard boiled eggs, premade western omelet, chicken sausage, choice of breads, yogurts, cereal and juices. The staff work hard to keep the area clean and well stocked. The bed was comfy, sheets soft, great pillows, the comforter was a bit ehhh. They have an Ada lift for the hot tub but not the pool which is odd. It worked though which is amazing! I took away 2 stars for lack of sleep. You can hear everything in the hallway. We had a knock on the door at 9:30am from the cleaning crew to see if we wanted the room cleaned which woke up my husband. The next day the chatter from the crew woke us up. Be sure to put your privacy sign on door at night before you go to bed. The WiFi did not extend to our room at the end of the hallway. read more

After staying in a horrible hotel I booked this one and it was just what I needed. When you come in they have coffee and tea available and some chocolate chip cookies. I paid through a third party and so the room was taken care of. They gave us some welcome waters and we were off to our room. They put us in #204 and it was perfect, everything was clean and stocked just like it should be. Kellie at the front desk was so amazing and helpful. Breakfast was also great and helped us fuel up for our morning. In the evening I was able to do our laundry while the men went swimming. It was an awesome stay and we have not one complaint. Would definitely stay here again if I return to the area. read more

One of the best Hampton Inn properties we have stayed in! Staff was friendly and accommodating. They gave us water upon arrival and when leaving. The room was very clean, and supplied with nice ammenties. Other nice touches such as a 'Welcome" on the TV screen were noticed. Beds were comfortable and it was quiet. Breakfast was very nice with fresh fruit. This place should be a role model for other Hampton Inns! read more

This property is everything you would expect from a Hampton Inn. Welcoming staff, clean rooms, and a nice breakfast buffet. We recieved a feather-free, allergy friendly room. Our membership status has dropped from Diamond to Gold as we switched our loyalty to a different major brand because of such inconsistent/poor experiences at Hilton properties. If Hilton could replicate what they are doing here across all of their properties, they would be much more successful! We especially appreciated the fresh berries at breakfast and the offer of water to-go at checkout. A+ keep doing what you are doing. read more

We had a very nice one-night stay. The room was very clean and recently updated. Beds were comfortable. Staff at the front desk and breakfast could not have been more welcoming or kinder. Minus one star for the noticeable but difficult to place odor when we first walked into the room and for somewhat thin walls. read more

I AM HILTON DIAMOND MEMBER. I love getting a hard time at check in at 1:30am after a 17 hour day, including 7 hours of travel. I complied with the request to provide ID then a request to see my government ID. The night clerk refused to honor my government rate even though I have stayed here before because my photo isn't on my documentation. As I Diamond member I do not need need nor do I expect a hard time. I expect, Hello Mr. Snyder, thank you for being a Diamond Member, here's your key, would you like a drink or snack. I do not and will not tolerate getting a hard time. HERE'S A QUESTION YOU MAY WANT TO ASK YOURSELF.... Am I a Hilton Diamond member so I can defraud Hilton out of the government rate and not be home with my family or is my "official looking" paperwork actual mean that I ACTUALLY WORK FOR THE GOVERNMENT and travel nearly daily for my job???????? This review replaces my previously positive review of this business. Now it's 2:00 am and I'm at the Hampton at Montage. BTW, this hotel seems to be under forever renovation. read more

We actually had a really good time and were surprised at the service we had over the Thanksgiving week. From the front desk to the cleaning crew they were joyful and very eager to assist. If you are in Scranton, Clark Summit, or nearby this is the place to stay. We utilized the pool and hot tub every night, ordered food, at the continental breakfast and we were not disappointed. read more

Hampton Inn-Clarks Summit is a typical Hampton Inn, very similar to the dozens of others I have stayed in before. This one though is tucked in behind another building off the main highway and is easily missed. Make sure you turn before the sign not after like I did. The check-in process was easy, the front desk clerk was friendly and they had warm cookies to snack on upon entering. The room was clean and everything that I would expect. The grounds had a coin operated washer and dryer, pool and decent workout room. The one thing that was unusual was the amount of complimentary toiletries! (see pic). My only issue with the place was the price, 153.00 a night was quite steep for what you get and the area that you are in. No offense to Clark's Summit but it seems like it should have been 30-50 dollars cheaper per night. Oh and no bananas at breakfast. GRRR! read more

Clean rooms and polite front desk. Extra friendly and kind front desk staff, Lane was great!

This hotel was clean and convenient for our stay. The staff in all departments were super friendly and helpful, literally every single person that I came in contact with was so nice! We will definitely stay again! read more

Kristen, at Front Desk was amazing! Hotel is amazingly clean and very well run. AMAZINGLY CLEAN during the Corona Virus era We had driven 10 hours, were tired, just came from South Bend Indiana where The Inn at St. Mary's gave us a room that had been occupied the night before and they had forgotten to clean cotton balls out of the hvac unit. They got us a new room, but one that had been occupied the night before as well. Kristen on the other hand searched a room for us that had not been used for over two weeks and was delightfully clean. We called to many hotels that night and they could guarantee us nothing. Only Kristen. And we are so happy we stayed here. read more

We decided to stay here after scoping out the other hotels in Clarks Summit. It's tucked away behind a small strip of stores (including a yogurt shop) and behind a seemingly abandoned bank. I like that it's more private that way since the road is very busy. At checkin, one of the front desk girls was busy venting to her coworker about a client -- told me to hold on -- before the coworker realized that she should in fact serve the customer first before having their sidebar. There were cookies for customers to grab which was nice. Checkin was easy and room keys were already prepped. The room was clean and AC was easy to run. The bed was surprisingly comfortable with clean duvets. The bathroom tile floor, nightstands and chest were a little dated, but everything else was updated, like the seat/ottoman, really nice LG TV that gave us no trouble with clarity and reception) and wifi (free for HHonors). Bathroom stocked with Neutrogena products, makeup remover and plenty of towels, which I appreciated. The blowdryer was really clean, not a speck in the filter but was weak. The water pressure is also weak in the shower but had a new head and tub was spotless. Every floor had its own ice and vending machine. Carpet was clean but always felt a little damp. Gym had new machines... A surprisingly stable and good treadmill. There was a TV in the room, exercise balls and weights. Free breakfast: Our days started with omelets and sausage links, with other things like a waffle maker, baked goodies (eh), mini cereal boxes, yogurt and sliced fruit (avoid, loaded with syrup). Was always stocked with food no matter how late we woke. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly and said hello. The maid also wished us a safe trip goodbye. Overall, it's a standard clean chain hotel with some aesthetic updates, provides free breakfast and easy access to the highway...but it really is in the middle of no where. You'll need a car to get places as the roads are very busy. Would prefer to stay in Scranton next time. read more

Wonderful hospitality. Friendly and courteous. Rooms are comfortable. Price is Right. Was in for a brief stay, one night, and had no complaints at all. Bed was comfortable. Shower was capacious and had enough water pressure. Not sure what else you need. If you're looking for a place to crash, this here would be a fine choice. read more

This is a mixed review. Started out shakey but they redeemed themselves. I booked a room online and chose one of the pricer ones with a king bed, microwave and refrigerator. I was coming into town for a workout/bootcamp weekend (PhatCamp with Nicole Wilkins at Brown's Gym), and needed to bring my meals with me and heat them in my room. Upon arriving at the hotel after a 2.5 hr drive, I check in and I was told my room does not have these amenities. The clerk said to me "Oh you booked this online". I said "Yea- it's 2017..." So apparently if you want some specific things in your room, you have to call and book like it's 1980. Lol. The clerk then said he could accomodate me by giving me a different room with 2 queen beds (I was there alone) with the fridge and microwave FOR MORE MONEY. After I had a nyc meltdown on the clerk and I said I wasn't going to pay more for their mistake. The clerk gave me the original room and said he would try and "find" me a fridge and microwave and bring it to my room. That's exactly what he did about 20 minutes later. He made it right and saved my weekend. Besides that issue- I LOVED MY STAY!!! The room was great- king size bed and couch in the room. Neutrogena bath products and thick, cozy towels in the bathroom. Great complimentary breakfast- with omelets, hard boiled eggs, waffles AND Krispy Kreme donuts on Sunday!! Plus they had 24 hr amazing coffee in the lobby with creamers and all. I loved that. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Pool was awesome and huge! The pool room was warm and I was the only one in there swimming. (I stayed in a neighboring hotel last year and their pool was freezing and the room wasn't heated- couldn't even swim it was so cold! )The jacuzzi looked great but was broken-that was disappointing after working out all weekend. I was looking forward to a good soak! Gym was small but had a lot of new looking equipment. Will DEF stay here next year when I return for bootcamp weekend. (I will just make sure I call ahead to book over the phone. Lol). read more

This seems to be somewhat new or newer hotel in the rural area of Clarks Summit. It is in a pretty good location in terms of many restaurants in close proximity. Their indoor pool and hot tub is nice and they have a pretty good gym that seems to be open or under utilized. read more

I was illegally discriminated against at this hotel against the Americans with Disabilities Act and denied service due to a documented Service Animal. When the Manager of the Property, Debbie Dixon, Hotel Manager (570.586.1515), was notified, we were given a slew of reasons why the Property was to able to honor our reservation. First, we were told that they were closing the hotel for renovations and they would be shampooing all the carpets. After that was proven to be a lie, I was then told that they were booked for an Event, yet ANY website, including the Hilton App, shows wide open availability for our room type. I travel with my service animal frequently, I am a Gold Honors member, and the Service Animal is notated in my Hilton Profile. I have filed a discriminatory complaint with Hilton Corporate and notified the ADA. In addition, I have also retained an Attorney who will be filing a discriminatory financial suit, as well as criminal. I have also recorded my experience through the local Better Business Bureau. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL AT ANY COST. The Clarks Summit Hampton Inn practices illegal discrimination; please sign our petition to remove Clark Summit Hampton Inn from the Hilton franchise. read more

Unbelievable and awesome staff!! Celebrated our anniversary and felt right at home from check in to check out. Never felt like I was a bother in asking for help or information about area. Hot breakfast items was great for variety/tastes. Food area was kept clean and ladies attentive at cleaning tables after each family left. My room was cleaned well and even my fragrance sensitivity was taken into consideration. I can't remember all the names of everyone who was professional and friendly because EVERY ONE I encountered was so nice. Even their conversation with each other was pleasant and courteous of others. Too our surprise, we took home a lovely anniversary gift from the staff. read more

Beds comfy. Bfast is ok. Main issue is thAt they allow construction to begin at 8am and wake you up then say oh oops sorry about that but don't stop it. If you hope to sleep in at all this is not the place for you. read more

Everytime I am working up in Springville I stay at this location. I like the convenience of the location to the many different eating establishments. I do not recommend trying to block off rooms for your wedding through this Hampton Inn location or trying to work with the general manager Deb. My fiance and I called back in April to see if we would be able to block off rooms for our event in May 2022. Deb told us for 4 months she would get back to us about blocking off rooms. In July she told us she would have an answer by August and only after calling 3 days in a row and demanding a yes or no answer, she finally got back to us telling us we would not be able to block off rooms through this location because of the University of Scranton graduation happening the same weekend. We waited 4 months just for the answer to be no and Deb had almost no communication with us and ignored phone calls and messages from front desk staff for months from us. She is extremely unprofessional and we are very frustrated with the lack of customer service we received. I understand not being able to block off rooms because of another event, but we should have been given that answer when we first contacted the hotel instead being lead on for 4 months. Do not recommend. read more

A good hotel. Clean room, complimentary continental breakfast. A typical Hampton Inn.

Great customer service, clean and comfortable rooms, and complete breakfast made this a wonderful Christmas Eve stay.

I love this hotel.. my kids love the pool and hot tub. The staff is so nice. Everything about this place is amazing!!!

Started calling this hotel in October to inquire about blocking out room for a wedding. I called several times and left several messages but never got a response. In November I took my mother to the hotel and asked to speak to the coordinator, the girl at the front desk said that everyone who handles "that stuff" is out and they don't tell the rest of the staff about anything so she couldn't help us. We left both of our names and phones numbers with her but again, no response. Today I called and finally was put in touch with a manager named Jeff who just so incredibly awful. He told me that he had two other weddings booked so that's why no one had returned our messages (we should have gotten the hint). I understand this happens, but a phone call to let us know the hotel was booked would have been the professional thing to do and honestly very appreciated. When I told Jeff that he could have just told us that months ago instead of having me call and leave several messages with his staff he just said "oh well" and then hung up on me. Well, if this is how the Hilton's staff acts over the phone I could only imagine how rude and ignorant they are in person. Its really quite a shame considering I need to block out 15-20 rooms. I've stayed at several Hilton branches in the past but will not be using them in the future. read more
