The lobby area I don't have anything negative to note and the connected bar/restaurant looked nice. Our room was in rough shape. The bathroom ceiling had an extreme leak with bad stains and the floor and toilet were soaked. Walls are pretty thin and you can hear a dog on our floor barking and other conversations happening in other rooms. Bed was small, uncomfortable, and squeaky. The only other room available that evening was the room causing the leak in our original room. The sink was running and there was a smell of mildew & chemicals in the entire room. The chair at the desk was disgusting and covered in stains. We had to find a hotel at 12AM refusing to stay at Hotel Wayne. Again, I appreciate the older charm to the place, but a lot needs to be kept up with - especially for ~$200/night.

The front desk staff and management were not helpful-- at check in the desk clerk was short, seemed bored and did not tell us about any of the amenities like breakfast, etc..., and our bill was an absolute mess. We tried to straighten it out with phone calls and emails but were completely gaslighted and had to involve our credit card company. I will say parking was easy and the cleaning staff was great. My advice: look for another option.

Located steps from the University of Scranton on the main drag of Mulberry Street, The Colonnade's meeting/reception rooms are beautiful as is the suite I stayed in for two nights. The original structure was built in the 1870's and it looks like much was done to preserve as much of the original woodwork, fireplaces and tile work as possible. High ceilings, curved walls, beautiful chandeliers...Joshua and Paul have returned the property to its former grandeur, yet have decorated the space with whimsy. In the Music Room, featuring an antique grand piano that came with the property, the blue walls are covered with lots of fun art work. My suite featured a separate sitting room, beautifully tiled bathroom and a separate bedroom with a king-sized bed with soft, luxurious bedding. Flat screen TV, free wifi and continental breakfast also come with the room. Several family members in town have attended functions from private baby showers to special holiday brunches at the Colonnade and report that the food and festivities were wonderful. There is parking in the back, and be forewarned - the property is off busy Mulberry Street - so for those not used to city noise should be prepared. It can be noisy in the early morning. So, while I have family I can stay with next time I'm in town, I will probably opt for staying at the Colonnade again.

Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, and always oatmeal, fruits, yogurt, bagels/toast/English muffins, etc. Plus, my kids' favorite, a waffle maker and a lot of batter to make your own waffles. The best part of this hotel is that it is dog friendly, with a 50 dollar pet charge, and it's quite nice for a pet-friendly hotel. Across the street you'll find several restaurants, a movie theatre, etc. There is also a small pool (no hot tub) and an exercise room that gets the job done! Although I was thrilled to escape after continuously extending my stay during the car fiasco, I have and will stay there again when I'm in the area with my pup.

We checked in midday so we had the benefit of having daylight- making first impressions less creepy. We were the only ones in the bed-and-breakfast, as far as we could tell . Not a sole insight. There was no degree of security. No codes to enter, etc., after reading a taped message on the front door, we entered and eventually found our room. I truly love old / historic homes and Inns. I usually offer them quite a bit of Grace..... Despite outdated furnishings, our room appeared clean and the bed was comfortable. The air-conditioning worked well and there was a small room refrigerator. Surprisingly, no musty smells. The bathroom is in need of some serious repair. The sink is chipped and rusty and the shower tub- well, it's is far from a shower. We showered late that night and despite the timing, there was little water flow -more like a trickle by the time my husband showered. We had no idea when breakfast would be served - since we never saw anyone. We just wandered down the next morning. The breakfast dining room, where we were to eat, had a trashy movie playing on the TV. I got up and changed it . The breakfast was subpar with low level of supplies - tea, etc. We are willing to pay more for a room knowing breakfast is included. We should've dined out instead. I have one more true life commentary - there was a table in the hallway upstairs that appeared to be an amenity table - boxed hairdryer and box of Trojans. I thought it was a prank for someone staying at the Inn at first, however, later realized - don't think so. Time to Class it up several notches, Wayne on Main!!! Honesdale is a fabulous historic town. The Inn has tremendous potential - if only some sweat equity and thoughtfulness was put into it. Our overall experience was similar to that of the Twilight Zone. Perhaps you should look elsewhere.

During check-in I was greeted and given my room confirmation, however, it was the wrong type room. The front desk fixed it graciously in about 10 minutes. The king suite room was updated with all amenities. The only con was the door had about a weird 2 inch gap at the bottom, easily fixed by adding a sweep and small gap at the side. A handicap bar and more traction are needed in the tub. I used a towel to block the light. The room was quite dark after that and slept like a baby. I received a breakfast voucher at the front desk and enjoyed my meal. This hotel is quite large and has a pool. Lots of families with kids. Overall I had a great stay & will return.
