Hampton Inn & Suites Casper, WY - Fitness Center

This hotel rocks. We go out of our way to stay here every time we are staying over in the Casper / Bar Nunn area. Rooms are always clean and fresh, with large flat screen TV, and every you need when traveling- with the exception of a Microwave. Bathroom is large and well equipped. Rare added feature is a purified water bottle filler in the main hallway on the first floor. Most hotel's greed to sell you a 17 cent water bottle for $5 out-ways their ability to help the environment by offering to refill bottles and cups. Wonderful added feature. All hotels should provide this. Staff is always friendly and efficient- or as fast as their slow computers let them go. Exceptional breakfast provided with considerable offerings hot and cold. Even different flavored waffles with an optional sugar free syrup for those watching their diets. Highly recommend this property- you won't be disappointed. We've already made our reservations for our next trip 7 months from now.

You can see me in a Hilton room, cooking steaks. I'm obviously high on dank.
    Brandonious I.

Staff was very friendly to the point of condescension. That's not a bad thing. I felt taken care of. Problem is the only time I saw any employee wearing a mask properly was the breakfast server. Normally, I would only give a single star for a place like this but... I cooked steaks (fillets) on my propane grill in the room. I turned it up high and dropped the butter and meat. Soon the smoke alarm went off. I killed the gas and covered the steaks. I opened the front door and flailed it with my body back and forth to create airflow. My lover waived her notebook frantically by the alarm. The sound eventually died. The steaks were seared and red in the middle PERFECT. Hotel staff never came to check on us. Thanks friendly maskless staff homies.

We checked in at midnight after a long drive. Our room was clean and nice. It was larger than other hotel rooms with the same amenities. Mini-fridge, sofa bed, desk and chair, neutrogenq brand soaps and shampoos. I didn't like that the bathroom sink area didn't have a door on it, and you had to turn the toilet room light on from the outside (lighting up the whole hotel room). I don't know why the hotel designers included such usability problems. Maybe they expect more single travelers to stay there and fewer families of four (or they just didn't think about it until it was too late). The breakfast area was pretty and open. It didn't feel crowded, though plenty of people were eating. The only protein was eggs... hard-boiled and scrambled with ham. Most hotel breakfasts offer some type of sausage or bacon, but not here. Unfortunately, I can't eat eggs without ensuring travel sickness, so I didn't get proteins for breakfast. But for a free breakfast, it is pretty good. With two types of waffle batter, two kinds of Chobani yogurt smoothies, fresh fruit, "pressed juice," oatmeal, it is sure to please kids and adults alike (except for diabetics who can't eat eggs- a very small group). I mentioned it when I checked out, and the clerk said to let any of the staff know of dietary issues and they would make bacon or whatever we needed!

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel once per year nearly every year for the past decade. It…read moreis one of the highlights of our year. We go to Casper for the Casper dog show in July and this is our first choice for our hotel. First and foremost it is absolutely pet friendly. For us the hotel that is not pet friendly might as well not exist. We are only on the road because of the dogs and dog events so if our dogs are not allowed we will not darken the door. Second, I have not found the problems mentioned by many of the reviews of this hotel. For us the place is clean. The AC works just fine. When the AC quit they fixed it within two hours. If anything the AC is so powerful I keep having to turn it down. There is a delightful bar good food and a precious outdoor patio. There are flowers everywhere and the vistas are beautiful. For all of these reasons I recommend the hotel. But there are some other things about this hotel that no one has mentioned in the reviews I saw. First among these is the artwork. Someone with extraordinary and subtle taste, a keen ability to see something beautiful in the everyday reality of western life that is something that is reflected in the artwork. The artwork is another one of the main reasons we stay in this hotel. The Ramkota is not part of a national chain. It is a unique reflection of Wyoming, of Casper, of the west. That uniqueness is captured in the artwork and it's worth staying here for that alone. It is far more interesting than any national chain hotel. I would give this hotel five stars except for the politics. And I really do think that the ownership needs to look carefully at the diversity of its clientele and at the message being sent to its customers. Many of us are coming from outside of Wyoming. Not everybody out there thinks the way Wyoming voters think. Two years ago the floor mats in the lobby were a glorification of the fossil fuel industry. I thought "Wow, That's pretty outdated!" The management caught on and today those floormats are gone. Good for them! That is the kind of change they need to make in order to make the hotel appeal to a broad range of visitors who are not from Wyoming. But this morning at breakfast I was hit in the face with Fox News. I do understand that there are many in Wyoming who prefer and believe Fox News. But outside of Wyoming there are a lot of us who would rather open the day with a news channel that is more neutral and trustworthy. Get rid of Fox News and this would be a five-star hotel!

The area surrounding the hotel was not the greatest (especially at night). For $142 (1 night) it is…read morenot worth it. We stopped just to rest and break up the driving and for the price, i've stayed at MOTELS that were much nicer and at the very least, clean. Trash was left behind on the TV stand, the walls were littered with mystery fluids and stains, and the "do not disturb sign" appeared as though someone drug it through a greasy hamburger and set it aside for us. The shower was dirty enough that the wife did not feel comfortable showering. Staff weren't the friendliest and overall not an impressive experience considering the price.

This place needs to be shutdown!…read more Prior to me coming to Casper for a work trip, my boss had told that she had found a bedbug in her room in this same hotel when she had to come for a work trip as well. Upon learning that, on 6/8/26 as soon as I went into my room (1108), I ripped the bed apart and pulled the mattress down...to my horror, there was a pile of ALIVE bedbugs!! There's no telling how many were actually in this room/hotel in general. The manager Christine was nice, however she seemed to be just making excuses and said they hadn't had any bedbugs for a few years...this is absolutely not true, being as my bosses work trip was within this year! As an attempt to remedy the situation, Christine moved my room and took 50% off my stay, BUT I found bedbug remnants in the second room (1201) as well. At this point, I absolutely no longer felt comfortable staying in this nasty hotel, let alone bringing any of my belongings inside. I returned to Christine, told her what I found AGAIN and checked out, all while she was STILL making excuses! I am now cozy in a CLEAN bed, in another hotel, far away from that disgraceful/disgusting hotel. The bad part is that I have to go back tomorrow for the symposium I came for When I went back to the symposium, the next day, one of the women I told about the bedbugs and to check their bed, informed me she had also found bedbugs in her room!! Another woman came to me to tell me she had also cancelled her reservation and the front desk gave her attitude and stated "that issue was taken care of yesterday" which it absolutely was not!! More and more people have been coming to thank me for letting them know and potentially saving themselves from a disaster. I hope anyone who reads this review heeds my warning, I think this entire hotel is infested and the staff doesn't give a crap!! **Edit to add** I later found out that instead of the manager blocking off rooms 1106-1110 as she said she was going to do...they actually put people in those rooms AFTER I had complained about the bedbugs!! When the investigation was done by the health department, they said they found bedbugs in the occupied rooms (1106 & 1110) The health department had also said that this is the hotel they normally investigate!! Be careful out there yall, stay safe. ALSO, the owners response to this review on Google is a bold face LIE, as I had personally spoke with the health department after they did their investigation...She informed me that they would be making Best Western block off the hallway of rooms where I had found the bedbugs, AS WELL as the rooms above!! So for this owner to say that "there was no infestation found" just shows how little they care about your health and wellness.

Lobby ~ The lobby is well appointed and an open and welcoming space. The front desk is easily accessible and ADA Compliant. All areas are clear of any encumberances and well lit. The breakfast area is adjacent to the lobby and well appointed. The Breakfast ~ OUTSTANDING! I was extremely surprised. I stay in hotels on regular basis and just in the last year I frequented a variety of them throughout the US and abroad. This breakfast buffet was represented very well. This is the first time I have seen a farm fresh yogurt machine. The product was outstanding. They offered the regular cereals, aids, bacon, variety of muffins and breads and pickles. And they have a waffle machine. I addition to juices, coffee and a plethora of tea options. The plastic ware was obtained by a single serve machine, ensuring a higher level of cleanliness. Hard boiled eggs were in individual serving packages, first time seeing this - eggselent! Coffee and tea cups were very sturdy not the flimsy ones you usually get. Rooms ~ I was exhausted when I arrived. Jack and was seamless, friendly and professional. It was very very late and the young man who helped me was just as polite and friendly as if it had been during normal check in hours. The room was unexpectedly spacious and very clean. Usually I could always find hair in a corner, dirt in a corner of a bathtub or a sink that hasn't been fully wiped out. Not in this room. I looked. Everything was on point. Include two separate bars of packaged soap. One for the laboratory and one for the shower. Water pressure was more than adequate. I have long hair and more than once have I had to utilize the faucet in the bathtub to rinse my hair completely. Not here! The air conditioner filter was clean worked perfectly, no allergy medicine today for me. In the room was very proportionately decorated and accompanied by furniture that appeared fairly new. There was a mini refrigerator and coffee machine in the room. I have stayed recently in Vegas and they've removed the coffee machines from most. The curtains closed completely and hung appropriately. With no gaps they were truly blackout curtains. Customer Service ~ everyone I encountered from the lobby to my room we're in credibly genuinely friendly and courteous. This town is located in Wyoming and the folks here are just very friendly and kind. I would definitely return and stay specifically at this hotel. Incredibly clean every area and facet of the hotel was wiped down, dusted and the windows were spotless. The artwork was both tasteful and appropriate. The furniture choices in Decor were sophisticated and timeless. The spacing in the dining area was appropriate most places you're literally sitting right on top of one another not here, very large and ample seating area with very appropriate spacing where the employees take great pride in maintaining a very clean and upscale establishment this hotel is located in a very safe area that is convenient to any business you may have in the area and or travel plans for sightseeing. Then there are hotels that win him over by performing the simple miracle of being run by people who appear glad he exists. This establishment belongs proudly in the latter category. The breakfast itself was nothing that would cause a revolution in American lodging. It was the same continental breakfast we all know and love from sea to shining sea: eggs of uncertain ambition, waffles aspiring to greatness, a standard issue pancake printer, imported whole fruit lovingly hand-wrapped in cellophane, and coffee tasked with carrying the whole enterprise upon its weary shoulders. Yet what distinguished this breakfast was not the menu but the ministry. A guest found herself engaged in mortal combat with a waffle that had become permanently attached to the waffle maker. Before the struggle could escalate into litigation, a server appeared, liberated the imprisoned pastry, and restored peace to the republic. Empty plates vanished almost before they were empty. Coffee cups were replenished with a vigilance usually reserved for national defense. OK, I embellish the effort just a little. But darn if it didn't feel that way as a matter of comparison to the usual economy hotel punishment. Good service cannot improve a mediocre breakfast into a great one, but it can perform something nearly as remarkable: it can make a fellow forget he is eating a mediocre breakfast. Attitude, as it turns out, is an ingredient. The room itself was pleasantly spacious. Most modern hotels provide Wi-Fi and consider the matter settled. This room, however, offered a dedicated Ethernet connection. I plugged in out of curiosity and discovered speeds that made the Wi-Fi seem less like a technology and more like a suggestion. There was also a second-tier vanity shelf, a humble feature whose usefulness cannot be adequately appreciated until one has spent years balancing toiletries upon surfaces apparently designed by people who own only a toothbrush. Now, no honest account would be complete without mentioning the defects. The room resisted darkness. The window shades approached the task with enthusiasm but not competence, allowing enough light around the edges to remind a sleeper that somewhere outside, the universe remained operational. More perplexing was the hairdryer. It resided in a wall mount equipped with a small nightlight that glowed continuously. I searched for a switch with determination and, eventually, with suspicion. Either no switch existed, or I lacked the intellectual qualifications to locate it. Both explanations remain plausible. In the end, I left with favorable impressions. The breakfast was ordinary. The room had quirks. Yet the staff possessed that increasingly rare talent of making inconveniences feel small and guests feel welcome. And often, that makes all the difference.
