I did a pre application form online for a 2016 Mazda 3 then drove over an hour to come look at the vehicle at Hampstead. Saw it online and immediately wanted to check it out/make a purchase that same day or weekend. I arrived early for my appointment. The sales person (I'm going to leave his name out of it) went to go get the car so I could test drive it (without announcing he was doing so. I came out of the bathroom and he was GONE!) I sat for about 30 minutes. Nobody spoke to me or offered me anything at all. Right as I'm ready to walk out after waiting so long, the sales rep comes back in and says "Sorry, we had to jump start the vehicle." I'm automatically thinking "something is either wrong with the vehicle or nobody is coming by to test drive it. I bet can make a deal!" I thought WRONG! Test drove the car. It was nice but I had some concerns about how rough it drove around 45 mph, the fact that the interior had flaws (Mazda symbol was completely faded, scratches on the computer screen, dashboard starting to crack from the sun, etc) and the car only came with one key. Anybody who drives a Mazda knows a spare key is $900+ AT LEAST (for a switch blade key. This was a push to start and I'm sure it costs significantly more) to purchase and have programed. Car was listed for just under 15,000. It was a decent price for the vehicle in perfect condition; HOWEVER, I needed them to make a deal with me because it was NOT in perfect condition. I waited a day and offered $12,500. They only informed me that they declined my offer after I called and left the sales rep a voicemail. Thought it over more and called back to make another offer. Agreed to pay $900 less than sticker price , they need to give me a decent amount on my trade in, I told them I want to decline the HPO certification (it was listed as optional on the website and costs $1300,) and asked them to waive their processing and transportation fees as they are not required by law. The sales rep told me they cannot take one penny off of the vehicle, waive any dealer fees and that the HPO certification was NOT optional. it is- in fact, REQUIRED! I was beyond upset. The listings on ALL of their vehicles state: "Price does not include tax, tags, registration, dealer process $499 (not required by law), Freight $299 (not required by law), and Optional $1295 HPO certification." Optional and required have the complete opposite meanings!!!! I would never have wasted my gas, time and money to see the car knowing this! It does not cost a dealer a dime to process paperwork. Charging $500 and being unwilling to waive it for a sale is insane. Why am I paying a freight fee if the vehicle is dead on the lot already? Insane. The HPO certification being listed as optional (but really required) is insane. This is the definition of FALSE ADVERTISING! This dealership was going to have me pay sticker price for this vehicle that was NOT up to par then tax on an additional $2100 worth of THEIR dealership fees. Then sales tax on a 15k car, tags and title. This car would have cost me close to 20k after everything was said and done! I've heard nothing but horror stories about their service department and the "optional" HPO certification. I let the sales rep have it for wasting my time and STILL told him that if they can come down from the price- id purchase. I had 2.5k in my pocket, a car to trade in and was ready to give them a sale. I bet this man never even asked his manager anything. Fast forward to 5 days later. They must have heard me out and came down from the price. This car is now listed at 13,980. Did I receive a phone call? Nope! HORRIBLE business practices and false advertising all over their website. Car was also listed as never having an accident. Carfax report determined that was a lie. If you're going to spend the extra money on dealership fees that aren't required by law, at least go to a reputable dealership like car max where the cars are in excellent shape and they actually honor their warranties. I'd never purchase a vehicle from them at this point and recommend others to stay away as well. This is for an inspection that they promised they would do for free. Proc/Doc fee $500? Too much! There's more but from just the hidden fees I showed you, you are paying $2500 over the sticker price. Rachel was quick to take a $500 deposit for a vehicle I was considering purchasing, however, Bernard( I don't know what his title is) refused to mail any paperwork to me at my address and suggested I come into the dealership after I explained to 3-people that I'm working out of town! Moreover, prior to me leaving a $500 deposit no-one had an issue with me being out of town and I agreed to e-sign the documents that was no longer an option fast forward to today and after almost 2-weeks me being out of town is a problem! Do not reward bad behavior! Advertised price did not include 899 HPO certification, 299 Freight, 499 Doc Fee, plus more. Do not listen to the dealership's response to other bad reviews. I showed them a screenshot of another 1 star review which had painted the picture as a misunderstanding. Nope! These fees are NOT optional. I was told the HPO certification is not a "warranty or product care" and was a process the car had been through that cannot be undone. Maryland has very specific disclosure requirements that are laid out in Transportation Code § 15-311.1 which states: (e) If a dealer advertises the price of a vehicle, the amount of any dealer processing charge and freight charge shall be included in the advertised price unless the dealer clearly and conspicuously discloses the amount of the dealer processing charge and freight charge in at least 10 point and bold font within reasonable proximity to the advertised price. (f) The dealer shall attach its price statement to a window of the vehicle, next to any other price disclosure required by law.  The dealer's price statement shall state the total price for which the dealer is offering to sell the vehicle.  The total price stated shall include any dealer processing charge, which shall be disclosed above the total price in at least 10 point type as "dealer processing charge (not required by law):  $․․․․․․․․․․".  The total price may exclude only the taxes and title fees payable to the State. I would avoid buying a car from this place. I'm not sure if they are continually understaffed or just very poorly organized, but it seems like this dealership does not value customers' time. When I found a car I liked here, I initially put a deposit down so I could come back and buy it the next day. Everything had been worked out already before I paid the deposit - all I needed to do the next day was sign the paperwork and pay. That took three hours for HPO to do (longer than the time I spent looking at the car the day before!). Associates kept walking past and ignoring me as I sat ready to buy a car. I was also told this car had two open recalls, and that I could take it to any licensed dealership to get those fixed for free. One of the recalls related to the radio, and I noticed a problem with the radio while test driving the car. I reasonably assumed the issue I saw was the recalled one because I was not told of any other un-repaired issues on the car. But, upon taking the car to a licensed dealership to get the recalls fixed, I was informed that the issue I noticed was actually a separate one that was not covered under warranty. I don't know whether HPO deliberately hid this information from me or couldn't distinguish the issue I saw from the recalled one either. Regardless, this was not a great situation and HPO did not really do anything to help me. After a month of trying to get this resolved, I just gave up because it was too much of a hassle dealing with HPO. read more

In advance sorry for the long review ........My son and I had been searching for his first car to purchase for his 21st birthday. I had been helping him search and had come across Hampstead Preowned online, the slogan is the first thing that stuck out to me online, so I advised my son to give them a call about the couple of cars that we were interested in. The receptionist, or persons answering the phone were exceptional with answering all of my sons questions, which was a lot, I know he called on several occasions for information, he had a lot of questions about several different cars. We finally made an appointment to go see Sebastian my sons salesman, to look at a car just to find out when we get there, there was a discrepancy on the 'car board' about which cars were actually available. Once we got over that slight disappointment we spotted another car a 2012 Subaru Legacy with 86,000 miles, it had just been brought to the lot that morning. Sebastian had taken us to see the car, my son sat in the car to see if he had enough leg room being though, he's almost 6'4, he really liked the car, and I thought that he looked good in it, it just fits him. My son had financing already together with a low interest rate, but we were gonna see about me being the cosigner because insurance for young drivers can be very expensive. Sebastian bragged about how they work with all major credit unions, beside Navy Federal, and how he can beat any rate with better than what my son had which was 4.5, I was very impressed to hear that. Sebastian had left and returned a couple of minutes later just to tell us that someone was putting in a contract for the Subaru. OMG not again, we were upset, because we really liked that car, even more than the car we originally came for. So we sat there going through the inventory of other cars to see if my son liked anything else, because we did just drive an hour to look at a car, at the same time I didn't want to rush and choose just anything because buying a car is a big investment. After about 30 minutes of talking among ourselves, Sebastian came back to us to let us know the couples financing fell through, and if we like it we can go for it, we still had to come back to see the car in its finished form, it was just brought to the lot, we didn't even test drive the car because it still needed to be reconditioned. Sebastian said that he would call us in about 5 days once the car was ready, so that my son and I can come back to view. The car was ready in about 3 days. We drove back down to the lot to finalize the transaction. We were taken to Johannas office to go through the financing, once in the office Johanna says to me after running my credit that she found a bank for financing, when she told me the interest rate, I nearly choked, what, huh, what happened to the low interest rate. Why would I choose that when I just refinanced my car and got and interest rate of 4.2, You gotta come better than that, I was ready to walk, she searched again, and in less than 5 minutes she found me a credit union with a rate of 4.1%, cool ok, we can continue, then as were finalizing the paperwork, I'm hit with their own company warranty which is about $500 that we weren't told about, by Sebastian, granted we called and asked about all "Extra" cost that would be associated with the sale of the car. After her explaining what it was, I was ok, but I was still annoyed, because Johanna says that paperwork was suppose to be gone over before we came to her for financing. About 30 minutes later, with financing and warranty completed, my son had purchased his first car. After we finished with all the paperwork, I was approached by the manager of the company Kevin, asking me how was our experience, I said "it was ok, with hesitation. I guess he could see the irritation on my face, so he asked me again about my experience, this response, I was truthful about the couple of things that had bothered me throughout our transaction, Kevin explained that the process of the fees are suppose to be discussed before you go to financing, and that was not acceptable because there are procedures that has to be followed, as compensation Kevin the Manager gave my son 2 free oil changes and well as 2 free car washes. They even agreed to deliver the car to my home, because we had to come back to finish up the transaction. Having bought 17 vehicles over the years, my husband and I were surprised by the Business Model of this dealership. We drove 2.5 hours to look at a car for our daughter. We had bad vibes initially because the car had been there for 3 months but was "Going through reconditioning". And some dude named "Danny" was pretty responsive at first and assured us he could "cut us a great deal" so we shrugged off our intuition and proceeded. We get there, and "Danny" isn't working today. I thought that was weird because he made us the appointment and we figured we would be dealing with him because he was "going to cut us a great deal". They spray painted my breaks so we wouldn't see all the terrible rust and damage it had, as well as put them on backwards. My car broke down also after driving it 10 miles and they promised to fix it and continue to disappoint. Too much has gone into a car that I have not had for even 2 months! After they told me I'd never sell it for $11,000, I took it to another dealership and did just that. I'm satisfied I proved my point, but I'll never do business with these people again. Long overdue. This Dealership is a scam. A massive scam. They sold us a car with a broken motor mount and passed MD inspection. They sold us a car that wasn't worth 15,000. It's been a roller coaster with this place. I even have a recorded phone call with the owner where he threatens to only fix this car if ALL negative reviews were removed. A car that should have been fixed and sold as such from day one. Instead this dealership likes to play these games. They like to point fingers and say any other mechanic you go to is money hungry. They will claim not to see or hear the damages you complain of. Owner Anthony stated on call to sign papers saying we agree to never leave a negative review, cohersing and bribing to cover their tracts of selling an unsafe vehicle as the other motor mounts failed. I went to multiple mechanics and it was reported to me that the owner of Hampstead Pre Owned called and harassed our mechanics over the vehicle. Instead of fixing this car, the owner went after the mechanics who have even helped us when times were hard. This place should be shut down. The owner has a public court case of violently assaulting his female coworker if that's any indication of what type of man he is. This has been the worst experience to date. I just got this car back from an amazing mechanic and his friend, and it's fully fixed. Like it's not even the same car. All motor mounts had to be replaced, the tensioner, the belts, struts. Barely had this car for 6 months and it was falling apart. Barely 10,000 miles upkept and it was unsafe to drive. This dealership pays and manipulates it's reviews. Imagine holding a cars repairs hostage over honest customer experiences. We had the police on standby to get the car back. They also told us not to sign anything and told us to post our reviews and experiences. It is your right as a customer to review a business and we have plenty of proof of every statement made. Car was sold unsafe and illegally passed MD inspection. Read the reviews and research. Refer to yelp. I had to remove this review because of the recorded phone call with Anthony stating to do so in order to have a safe car. I reported it to yelp and the BBB. It's not my car by the way, it's my girlfriends. I have no reason to be shut down for stating everything that's happened. 4,000+ in damages of buying this 15,000 camry. I have paid for a car to be safe for my girl. I regret not taking her to a reliable, trustworthy dealership. I also as a survivor of s*x trafficking don't support the owner and what he has done on public documentation to his female co-worker. Had I known this prior to purchase of either vehicle, no sale would have ever gone down. My review will remain up. My experience will remain up. If the owner contacts with threats, harassment or any contact at all pertaining to retaliation, I will update. As it stands my protection officer is aware and the attorneys we have spoken too have stated this is our right. Do not purchase here , purchase a new car. I purchased a used 2014 Acura RDX on 2/12/22. The sales person, Alan, was very energetic. The car I had reserved to test drive wasn't ready. This was the car I had chosen as a back up. I test drove the car and gave it a look over. On the test drive I attempted to use the washer fluid pump to clean the windows, test the horn etc. no fluid came out of the windshield washer. I said " it must be empty to the sales guy." I worked at a dealership over 2 years so I figured they would top of the fluids. I was wrong. I let him know I wanted my credit union to finance. It was Saturday and I was rushed. Multiple credit pills were performed just for me to have the outcome I requested in the beginning. Monday (2/14) I received a car telling me the Acura was sold, I know. It was sold to me. I had my mechanic look over the car 3 days later and the pump was actually broken. The tires tread was 1/2 gone and a license plate bulb was out. He noted that the alignment was also off. I contacted hampstead to see if they would correct this as they informed me I had 7 days to reverse the loan that showed up on my bank statement 72 hours later. No one called me back for 2 days and I was on a strict timeline as I needed to know if I needed to reverse the loan. I called back Thursday (2/17)and was told to come in Saturday (2/19). On the service area I was met by a manager named Fish. I explained my concerns and his response was "we don't have to fix that," "that's not my guys," and "we don't have anything to do with that." I explained that this is poor customer service and my calls aren't even returned in a timely manner, his response was; "bet you didn't talk to me or the owner or the owner's son." Not things you want to hear spending $27,000 on a used car. What was done was the alignment and a washer pump. I live 45 mins away and had to travel back a third time for the actual washer pump repair. March 17th, my check emissions light repaired. I called again. No return call but a text 4 days later saying I should go to an Acura dealer. I have not even made my first full payment yet I have to put Acura $179 diagnostic fee which doesn't include repair cost that may or may not be covered. Very much disappointed. read more

BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE!! This place likes to boast their low prices, but they are not that low after they tack on all of their fees and shady $2000 "rebate"! So, the fees that are openly disclosed are $499 Processing fee and $299 freight fee. These are high but at least known up front. They list an "Optional" $1295 HPO certification fee, but this is NOT, I repeat NOT, in any way optional. They tack this on to every car for changing oil, buffing out/painting dents, etc. And their $2000 advertised rebate is ONLY if you take a very high interest (12 1/2%) loan by Wells Fargo. If you don't take this financing option, then add $2000 more onto the price of the car. And no one discloses this at all until you sit down in the finance office. All the sales people refer to the price of the car as the $2000 lower price. What a smack in the face. So that's a total of about $4100, BEFORE taxes title, tags, over their advertised price of the car. Very DECEPTIVE! And the finance guy was very unprofessional. He spoke to us at the speed of an auctioneer, no exaggeration. I asked him to slow down, but he didn't. Then he got upset with US because we were upset about the whole rebate scam. He abruptly stacked the papers together and literally ran out of the room, muttering that he would find someone else to deal with us. The whole experience was pretty horrible. I'm giving 2 stars because the sales girls out front were nice. This place gives used car salesmen the notorious reputation. I don't know where all those 5 star reviews come from! Frustrated with this establishment!! Purchased a Honda civic previously owned by a smoker. A hole in the back seat was not patched, when the parts request document specifically said It was patched. Car was NOT CLEAN. Our salesman Wes told us the car would be detailed and It was not. My hand was black from a quick swipe across the hard interior. Our drivers license was not returned after being copied. After calling back and bringing the car back in, we lost air in the back tire. They were able to detail the car and "check to see if the tire has a hole". Detail turned out fine and Wes reported the tire was checked and did not have a hole. One week later our tire pressure is back to 20. Obviously they did not check for a hole in the tire. Would not recommend this place. read more

It's extremely disheartening because I excited to get the car. I am a black women and they choose to sell the car I was purchasing to a white couple. Disgusting and deplorable customer service. The couple came in after me and was somehow able to buy the car I was in the process of getting. The car had primer spots all over it, cheap new tires. a huge pile of sand in the trunk and hot glue dripping down from the headliner at the front roof brace. Absolutely do not waste your time or money at this dealership. Time more than anything. The sales people will give you their whole pitch about how they take pride in the quality of the cars they sell and yet, I didn't even get mine off the lot before realizing the a/c didn't work. Then there was zero communication and I sat at the dealership for an additional 4 hours while they replaced it. Every time I did ask how much longer I was told about a half hour, or it shouldn't be more than an hour. I live 30 min away so there was no point in getting a ride home just to turn around and come back if it truly would have only been that long, but it wasn't. Then they gave me the car with an IOU for a new radio, and talked up how great the new one would be. They never ended up installing it correctly and I was told that it would be "too expensive and take 4 weeks" to be able to hook up the steering wheel controls. The radio was never installed correctly and there is a missed connection somewhere in the wiring because half the speakers don't work and the whole thing will randomly shut down. They claim they fixed it but never actually did and never even bothered to check the steering wheel controls again despite me asking several times about it. The car has also been in and out of the shop there 4 times for a studder at 1,500rpm. A common problem in Honda's is that the Torque Converter goes bad and that is exactly how it presents when it is an issue. This has also been an issue since I bought the car and they keep saying they will fix it. Three times it was bandaided until finally the whole transmission started acting up and they finally replaced the torque converter. I finally just got my car back tonight after they had it for an entire month, yes A WHOLE MONTH, just to replace the torque converter. I was told for about a week that it was in the shop and should be done that day and I'd get an update later. Only for that update to never come. Driving the car back today, the light on the dash board to indicate that it is in drive was blinking again. According to the manual that means there is an issue with the transmission. So after a month, there is still a bigger issue now than just the torque converter because it took them so long to actually fix the problem in the first place. This place is extremely unprofessional and obviously does not actually care at all about the quality of the cars they sell. They are junk. read more

I was helping my friend who happens to be a war veteran look for a car for work as he was not used to doing this. We saw a VW Golf online for a really good price #baitandswitch. We called up Matt and spoke with him about the car. Matt said the car was still available to purchase. My friend said yea let's go for it and buy the car. This was late afternoon on Saturday that we made the decision we told Matt yes let's buy the car. Matt sent the information to fill out to get the financing going, name, SS, work, how much down on the car. He. Sent it in. Matt said he would review it and call Monday since they are not open Sundays. Matt contacted my friend pretending he was having a hard time reaching us. We had no emails, no calls or texts asking for a deposit and proceeding with the financing. Early monday afternoon we find out from Matt the car was SOLD!! And said "We got more cars on the lot though" I called and made a complaint with "fish"... My friend let Matt know via text how upset we were because we made it totally clear we wanted the car delivered Tuesday and they sold it. They said well "we can't hold it" SORRY Matt and Fish if you have a buyer ask them to put a deposit on it that Saturday or at least Monday morning! Bait and switch car? Maybe. Bad business? In short, do not go here if you are actually interested in getting a car. When you just want to look and have time to waste go right ahead. They are great for talking a whole lot of game and not meeting expectations. I had a week to get this car (I am currently out of state). I had already been approved for a loan and one car caught my eye. I talked with my bank and was COMPLETELY transparent with ALAN J TAYLOR on how I wanted everything to go. I even put a $300 deposit after scheduling my test drive. This was supposed to list the car as sold and take it off the market. I got there the day of my test drive CHECK and INSURANCE IN HAND. Shockingly, they sold the car I wanted and tried to rustle around to get me a different one WITHOUT the SAME features. Also it did not matter what car they tried to find because the check was made for one car, my insurance was tied to it AND they were ultimately deemed UNTRUSTWORTHY. I feel completely burned and guess what I didnt tell them I used to be a used car dealer. I heard horror stories like the one I just lived. I was totally honest with all my customers and made sure the car they wanted was there until they came to test drive it. Car dealers like the one i dealt with here ALAN J TAYLOR. Only saw the commission he was getting from me. He didn't care too much about me or what i wanted. That is why he is STILL emailing me today with other cars he thinks I will run over there. No Alan I will not come there. The check from the bank is not only returned but, I have to apply for a loan ALL OVER AGAIN. You completely screwed me mentally and emotionally. I am scared. I never thought you guys were that bad, as bad as I have heard from my customers but YOURE WORSE. Oh and also the dealership I worked with had 5 star google reviews. The most unprofessional car dealer I have ever been to. I was writing my check and signing paperwork for my purchase when salesmen and women had a major altercation in the next office. Horrible experience. These guys are slick talking used car salesmen. I saw a vehicle I was interested in and contacted them. I set up a time to visit. When I got there, the car was in the lot with part of the interior apart for a repair. Also the battery was dead. Okay, things happen so they got it started. The vehicle was not disabled, so I drove it. It had a shimmy at about 60mph. In my mind it was probably tires. I was interested but said it needed to be fixed. The Salesman Wes said he would get it repaired. I came back a couple days later after Wes said it was fixed. I drove it. NOPE, still same problem. He assured me he would get it squared away. As a technician myself, I figured the problem to be tires or a balancing. I asked about the rice of the car, but Wes said that they are bound by the interenet pricing. I came back a third time after it was supposed to be ready. I had secured financing and was ready to make a deal. I was pleasantly surprised to get an alert from Cargurus and another site that there was a price drop. When I came to make the purchase. I was given some paperwork with the added fees. I saw shipping and asked him what that was. Wes, said oh, sorry that's not supposed to be in there anymore. Then I saw the "out of state licensing fee" . I reminded him that I was in-state. Then I saw a fee for a warranty that Wes had said was included but it was being charged to me. Then there was a mike drop moment. I mentioned that there was a price drop on the advertised price. You would have thought I stole his lunch. He excused himself to go talk to someone who I found out was his manager Bernard. He then returned to me and said something incredibly stupid that will make you laugh. He said that the price change was because I was using my own financing. Unbelievable I told him he was crazy. At that time his manager who must have been watching us bolted over to tell the same lie. I asked them if that was the case, when I said I was getting my own financing, why did they not increase the price on the original number? Then Bernard tried to show me prices of other similar vehicles. I told him that Wes said that the advertised price was what they charged and I was walking if they did not honor the new advertised price. Why did they have to lie about keeping the price higher? Just tell me that it was a mistake. Well, as you can guess, I left. Glad I did. These guys are slick talkers. Be very careful and ask for and challenge all charges. We used Hampstead Pre-Owned to purchase a third car for our family to save on fuel purchases. We were referred by a friend that made a similar purchase as we both live in norther harford county/southern PA and drive to Baltimore county for work. The trip to Hampstead was long but proved to be worth it. We had found a vehicle online that sparked our interest and had been contacted quickly via text message to see if we wanted to schedule an appointment. When we arrived for our appointment the car that we were interested was unfortunately not on the lot but the staff worked quickly to have it delivered, we were able to take it for a test drive and decided to make the purchase. Buying the car was a seamless and fair operation. Time constraints due to my work schedule and having a restless 2 year old on board prevented us from taking our new vehicle home that afternoon as the staff was replacing the tires and completing the MD state inspection. I ended up having to leave so I could head home to get ready for night shift. The staff provided my husband with a loaner vehicle so he could get home to be with our child. We will be recommending Hampstead Pre-Owned to any friends and family that are in need of a reliable and fairly priced pre-owned vehicle. We purchased a 2016 Mazda on Saturday. Additional work was needed and we were told the car would be ready Tuesday -Thursday. The Mazda was not ready during this timeframe but we only knew that because we had to keep calling. No one called us. We were then told the car would be ready by 2:30 on Friday. We even called at 1:00 to verify. We arrived at 3:00, but it was not ready until 3:45. The only reason it was available at 3:45 and not later was because we complained. In addition, we were told the small crack in the windshield would be fixed... it would be perfect. It wasn't. A gel substance was used that would keep the crack from spreading. The crack is quite noticeable. We purchased another car at Hampstead Pre-Owned five years ago and had a great experience. Our experience this time was poor. A dealership that truly cared about its customers would communicate, keep wait times to a minimum and keep their promises about fixing the car regardless of staffing or other issues. read more

I drove out from the D.C. are to Hampstead on the basis of their excellent online reviews and the ability to rapidly test-drive many different affordable used cars. I enjoyed my shopping experience and the prices are a good value, but the car I purchased had a variety of significant issues in just the first months of ownership. I purchased a used hybrid sedan and the hybrid battery, a major and expensive component, was already going bad upon purchase. I noted unusual behavior in the first few days of ownership and contacted Hampstead, but their techs confidently said it was not unusual and they would stand behind the car. Sure enough, the battery fully died just a few months after purchase. Hampstead performed the repair at a discount, but I had to bargain to reach this point, and remind them they had specifically brushed aside the symptoms I had called them to ask about during the one-week hassle-free trade-in period they advertise. In the first 18 months of ownership, in addition to the major hybrid battery replacement, the car also needed a full front brake job and a new A/C compressor, another expensive component that is part of the main hybrid drivetrain system. In several cases my mechanic noted the car was in somewhat "interesting" shape - shields zip-tied that should have been bolted, stock brake pads applied in ways that did not quite fit perfectly, etc. Obviously an inexpensive used car is going to have some quirks. Nobody expects a lifetime guarantee out of a $10k car. And I do not believe any of this came from deliberately shoddy work. But I think it may be a consequence of a place that acquires a lot of fairly cheap cars and chooses to sell them through at a high volume without spending a great level of time or resources on each one. I appreciated the bargain at the time of purchase. But considering the significant repairs necessary within the first 12-18 months of ownership, I will probably look elsewhere for my next vehicle, and pay a little more upfront for a car that has received more thorough and detailed care. read more

Large inventory of Honda's etc but they did my daughter wrong. They hid the hole in the driver's side mat by putting plastic over it. The mat was hiding a hole in the carpet. They replaced the windshield which now leaks. They do not return phone calls and did not have her car ready when they promised. Funny how almost all reviews are within a week of the experience. Try waiting a year and then tell us how it really is.We purchased our 2011 Toyota Prius from Wyatt. Seemed like a knowledgeable kid. The reason we were interested in a hybrid was so my wife could expand her business range without guzzling tons of gas. Wyatt told us about an extended warranty that would cover everything, including the hybrid battery for 3yrs. Well, at a $2300 price tag, it seemed high, but to cover the battery seemed well worth it. He assured us numerous times that the warranty, most certainly covered the hybrid battery. Fast forward a year. The battery goes out. No worries, right? Well, turns out, he mislead us. Yes, tge warranty covers hybrid batteries, but only in cars 5 yrs or less from the current year. Thus, our battery is not covered. No where in or on the contact we signed does this warranty say this. So, we call and speak with Michael. He claims that he never heard of that being a reason to deny a claim. Says he'll get to the bottom of it. Days go by, no call or email. We reach out to him, More run around. Then, we are told he has found a refurbished battery for $1200-$1600 and we need to cancel the obviously misleading warranty, get our money back(pro-rated of course) and use that money to purchase said refurbished battery. He must think we're stupid. Getting rid of the only legally binding contract we have with them, to then have no coverage whatsoever and then use our own money to buy a battery from them? Please. We have sent emails asking them to call us, both Michael and Keith. No response. We have contacted a former sales manager who had plenty to tell. Extremely shady practices going on at this dealership. We have given them options to rectify this issue, but no response. Myself and my social media connections are ready to use any means necessary to inform potential customers to beware! Be it Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and any other platform. Will never buy from them again, have had nothing but trouble with the honda I bought for my son back in October 2019. They have not been any help to us at all. I guess we learned a lesson and as a Veteran they say a lot but for me never again. I gave them a bad review and they told me to take it down I bet they do the same again. read more
