Always pleasant and happy to help for issues big or small. I have always found their service to be quick and fairly priced.

Celebrating forty years operating, Laughing Dog Bicycles carries this long history in their repair…read moreshop and sales floor. Downstairs and upstairs is a quiet drop-in space for bike sales, bike accessories, bike publications, bike supplies, and bike repairs. I brought two bicycles here for repair, one that as more of a child's toy instead of a bicycle industry piece, and another. Both needed some minor repair and upkeep, which Laughing Dog did for an affordable price for each bike, and included a safety inspection. Walking into their bicycle shop was half the treat, as they were done with the repairs within only a day. Settled in the back lot alley, with parking and two one-way driveways for in and out, Laughing Dog uses their space with a savvy of years. This is something they provide that a place which only "sells" or repairs bicycles probably can't offer you, and which I believe is common to the bicycle workshops of western MA. I had the impression that I could ask about local bicycling trails, bicycling races, bicycling events, bicycling tournaments, bicycling tracks, bicycling stars, bicycling history, and on and on, and get whatever insight I needed. Their sales floor wasn't jam-packed, and was navigable with the large variety of bikes on their sales floor as well. Bicycles ranged from entry level bicycles to professional, tourney, and off-road bicycles. However, their floor had such a variety, it makes me imagine the variety of customers they've helped over the decades. The variety of bells they have on a handlebar by the register add a cute little touch of bicycling history and options for noisy alarms. I found this place as such a treat to visit, I might as well consider it more than where bike experts meet, I would want to visit it for bicycle history and expertise in the local area.

Charged me $40 to adjust one brake pad, first and last time for sure.read more

WATCH THE PRICE THEY CHARGE YOU AT THE REGISTER. I had to walk back to do multiple price checks…read moremyself after the listed price on the shelf was lower than what they tried to charge me in after scanning the barcode (in fact, most products DID NOT have a listed price where I was looking). Last price check I did one of the employees was taking the sign away. Idk if it was to tell the person at the register or not but when I said something about it they said it was "store policy" to charge the listed price and not the inflated price in the computer.... Yeah pumpkin its also consumer law in MA. Staff was pretty sycophantic or checked out any time you tried to talk to them. Thanks I guess though, wound up saving hundreds just by getting so frustrated at the ordeal. Turns out, Holyoke Sporting Goods had the main sporting stuff I needed at a fraction at the price.

Brought 8 golf clubs in to be re gripped and it was a train wreck from the beginning. Took another 20 minutes to enter my information. Finally picked out the grips and received pricing, but when checking out the couldn't figure out the proper pricing. After that got figured out I asked if they would give me a call when done and they said yes. Told they would be done in 1 day. Never received a call, so called them and was informed they couldn't do the job because grips were too old. Isn't that why you get new ones? When to pick them up and found one of the grips butchered and the rest not touched. I asked for a "manager" and I spoke to a rude incompetent person who offered nothing other than interrupt me every time I tried to speak. Overall awful experience.
