They have a small patio, a modest dining area and a full bar with seating. You will find a TV above the bar to watch. I loved the restaurant's colorful murals of all the famous people dining there. They have daily food and drink specials. They had $2 wings and $5 margaritas when I was there. This restaurant is known for soul food. I will say that I was very disappointed with my experience here. Our server was nice but was not very attentive. My order was wrong. I ordered the hot honey chicken with cabbage and stuffing. I got okra instead of cabbage. Also, it took about 15 minutes for me to get my food, and it was luke warm and was not very good. my stuffing tasted like it came out of a box. My friends said the same about their mac and cheese. We got deviled eggs as an appetizer and we were not impressed with those either. My chicken was mid. I have had better and I have had worse. I really wanted to like this place, but it has really fallen off and fell short of what I expected. His Place is so much better than this spot. I hope this restaurant is able to turn it around soon.

Barely visited the table , only when we caught her attention intentionally. Very much patient with her as a former bartender . What brought my rating down was as leaving out and Taking pictures with family, she came out with an irate tone asking was there anything she could've did better and whys of not being tipped . In the midst of clarify nicely as tip was left with split payment made . As well as one of the other parties left cash, She rudely interrupted staring "we didnt but it was okay" and walked off . I hope Ava has better days and more considerate of tone and service that she offers . So much room growth as a service provider. Especially attention to detail no birthday recognition or anything

I was seated quickly at the bar and the bartenders at that time were great and punctual and making sure I got a menu and everything else I needed. I definitely appreciated that they weren't constantly approaching me, but they read my cues with knowing when I was ready to order or needed something. I was really pleased with the service that I received. The menu had a mixture of American comfort food as well as classic Southern dishes. I took several glances at the food other were ordering and they all looked so appealing and appetizing. I decided to order something that I haven't tried anywhere else, so I ordered the Southern Shakshuka, which is their own unique spin-off to the original. The meal comprised of a base of creamy cheesy grits topped with a somewhat rich layer of roasted tomatoes and vegetables and poached eggs. OMG it was amazing and so flavorful! If you are ever in the area definitely stop by this place!!

I ordered the quesadilla and it came out fairly quick. The owner brought my order out and was very personable. She informed me when I order in the future she would bring it out to me so I wouldn't have to pay to park in the garage. She also added an additional sauce (mambo)not regularly included. The quesadilla was made with bbq jackfruit, mozzarella, red onions and cilantro. The filling was seasoned and flavorful. I could have eaten it without the sauce. There was more than enough to eat for another day. Located on the 4th floor of the circle center mall and well worth the trip.

They also offer great coffee drinks, which is especially appreciated during long event days or extended work sessions. Professional, attentive, and consistently high quality. The program provides space for 4 first time Black business owners. The restaurant is not well marked, but is located in the back corner of the Market. Being that it is located in City Market, there is a lot of metered parking within a reasonable walking distance and there are a few commercial garages available as well. They are not open everyday, or at least they were closed on Monday when I went to visit. The woman working there was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The restaurant has a compact menu. You will find it on the chalkboard on the counter. I went with the catfish platter. It took about 15 to 20 minutes for them to prepare my food, but it was made fresh. You can sit in the Market's indoor dining area that is located on the upper (and now lower) levels or at one of the tables in the outdoor courtyard. It was a nice day, so I decided to eat outside. The catfish and fries were decent. I cant give them the title of best that I have had, but it was good. It came with some hot sauce. If I have one suggestion, it would be to up their hot sauce game. I got two packets of a watery generic hot sauce. I would have like a more name brand sauce. It would have set the catfish off a bit more. I love supporting local and I will be back to check out some of their other savory dishes soon.
