Maneuvering a security building far from parking was not an option for me. There are multiple first floor entry options & ample parking right out the door. Lighting is excellent and I often walk after sundown feeling perfectly safe. I really enjoy living here and it made the transition from home ownership to apartment living bearable.

I lived here for almost a year and the 1st weekend I moved in I immediately regretted it. The…read moreapartment above played loud music until about 3am. In fact, the loud music continued for months. I wrote, called and even stopped down to the rental office. My concerns weren't taken serious. It felt I was being labeled as the problem; but, as a tenant I expected a quiet apartment especially after the 10pm quiet hours. The 'Courtesy Officer' on some occasion said he didn't hear anything, some times asked me to go speak to her -- the final straw and thankfully my last weekend living in the apartment I had family over for the holiday and were enjoying a dinner and it was interrupted by a full party of about 30 - 40 people in the apartment above. So, at this point I called the cops. This was after the Security Guard came down and said yes they are having a party and she said it will be over at midnight. Lol. Completely disregarding the 10pm quiet hours. My family ended up having to leave and I waited for the police. Thankfully, the police responded and the party ended at midnight. There is no doubt if I hadnt called the cops, they wouldve continued much later. I have never been in this type of scenario and was so glad that that was my final weekend in the apartment. I moved out 3 months early and paid two rent for two apartments because the neighbor above was loud and its clear at this point the rental office isnt going to address it. As a tenant that is quiet, pays on time and clean -- I expected my concerns to be taken seriously. The apartments are beautiful, but walls are thin and it will be a NIGHTMARE if you end up with a loud neighbor. On the day of my move out, the rental manager followed the movers and myself as I moved out and watched as we moved boxes from my apartment to the truck. I had to ask him to leave as there was no reason for him to be there. He was making an already stressful day worse. This isnt a normal practice and when I moved in, he nor any of the other leasing people did this. So awkward and weird, maybe he thought I would damage the elevator or steal the hallway decoration. There are so many examples of disperity in treatment among tenants. But a final one ill mention is about a month after moving in I had ONE living room chair being delivered. The movers were stopped and told they had to go to the back. Fine. But, months later a lady moved a an entire bedroom set, mattress and several other items through the front door and she wasnt treated like I was. I stood there and watch not one person in the office stopped her or ask her movers to go to the back. Worse apartment experience ever and so thankful to be away. If you decided to risk it and move here take lots of moving in pics (pay special attention to the carpets they may try to pass that expense to you) and you may need to call the cops on loud neighbors -- because the rental office may not address it for certain tenants. All tenants should have a right to a quiet home.

Cliff notes- there are things that could be minor, but the way management handles it (or in most cases doesn't), makes it a much larger issue. Flooding- This is a pretty specific one, but the way a community handles large issues speaks volumes. First, there was no communication about the water levels from the river approaching the lower level garage, so if you were out of town, you would not have known to move your vehicles. When we finally got a notification, the garage was already flooded and no alternative parking options were provided for those of us paying $150+ for a parking space. O yes, and no reimbursement for the time we can't park there to help offset the additional parking we have to pay for. When you reach out to the company managing the garage parking, they direct you to the apartments, who in turn direct you to the company managing the parking. The water is gone but the garage is still closed and there is no timeline on when (or if) it will be pressure washed and we can park again. The Reds are coming back in town so parking in neighboring lots is skyrocketing. Fire Alarms - They go off at least 1x a week due to someone smoking in the elevator. Management sent an enforcement email ages ago, but judging by the fact that it still happens regularly, they aren't enforcing anything. They put up signs, but even those are gone now. People's pets are so stressed and frazzled and I feel for the people who aren't home to take their pets out or comfort them because they are at work. WiFi - You do not have a choice which internet service you choose as it is in your rent and you can pay extra for faster internet, but do not bother because it doesn't make a difference either way. My husband and I both work from home and the internet speed and reliability is equivalent to using the free internet at an airport. Also, good luck getting ahold of someone at the internet company to help troubleshoot! Garage- the gate was broken for months and several cars were broken into. When the lower gate was finally "fixed" per the community, it was another week or so before it actually closed and the gate still doesn't connect to the app to open. Airbnb- Some units are rented out and they bring in some characters. Last October, my husband and I witnessed a NAKED altercation where a man was physically assaulting a woman in the hall. There are still blood spot stains in the hallway from this. Front Desk- They are literally never there when we go to ask questions and I'm convinced at this point the phone is just a prop. When we came to get our keys for move in, the woman had no idea why we were there. They hadn't made keys yet and she was worried about if they'd changed everything needed from the last tenant. O yeah, after that, the key didn't work and we had to call the emergency maintenance for help on the day of our move in. Now that we're here, whenever we happen to catch the younger woman in the hall during business hours, she seems to quite literally forget that she works here and never seems to know (or care) what we're asking. I wouldn't say they are rude, just not knowledgeable and flippant like this is a summer gig. Packages- there are lockers as well as a package room, but delivery folks leave packages wherever. Outside on the street, in the lobby, in the hall, etc so it is a fun scavenger hunt trying to find your packages. This could be an amazing complex, but the mismanagement makes it a subpar place to live.

The property is mostly townhomes, but there are smaller apartment buildings also. It's not one of those new, chic places that a bunch of newly graduated college students go to live - this place has class, and seems to be more of an older crowd which I like! I just want to say how much I appreciate Vernell (one of the the security guards). He has been so welcoming, helpful, and always makes me feel safe when working. I can say confidently that he really cares about the tenants and will do anything for them - even helping carry in groceries! He has been working here for 19 years, and is very good at what he does! The amenities here are great also! There is an amazing pool, kiddie pool, and hot tub for the residents, along with a cabana bar that serves food and drinks for purchase. It makes you feel like you're on vacation! There are also a community garden, dog park, tennis courts, a grill area and a play set for kids. Inside the clubhouse, is a very classy styled bar also which opens when it gets colder outside, they also have a few rooms with lounge chairs, tables, a fireplace, multiple TVs, and a pool/ping pong table. They also have an event planner that plans things like Halloween parties, meet and greets, etc. I really enjoy India Creek, which is why I chose to live here! The staff is very helpful and nice and it's very convenient being right behind the Kenwood mall!

Trash compacter broke and I spent a year hauling my garbage down an elevator and across a parking lot to the dumpster (usually overflowing) Finally fixed. But halls and elevators got dirtier, trash rooms were downright gross, and they had trouble keeping maintenance men. It's expensive to live here, and experience doesn't track with that. Finally, some yahoo upstairs from me decided to fix his own toilet. Water ran thru my ceiling for hours, causing me to slip and fall and break my wrist. I was out of my unit for 5 days. My insurance paid for my hotel. When it was time to return I asked then to clean my unit to the way it was before the damage and was told no. It was up to me to do that. With a broken wrist. I also asked for the 5 days to be deducted from my rent. Nope. They did have my unit mold tested...immediately. Mold doesn't form that quickly. I was done. Did I mention dogs are allowed, and several times weekly the elevator is full of dog urine. And owners walk their dogs across the street to a grass strip, allow them to poo and don't clean it up. It's gross. The management team was fine, it was from the owners that tied their hands. This place needs help.
