Well where do I begin? I moved into an apartment in February 2017 and the apartment is ok. Maybe a bit high priced for what i get as far as my apartment. The kitchen is very small. No outlets at all on one wall so limited access to outlets. No ice maker because the water is on the opposite side of the kitchen, which is an issue for me since I like to have ice for my work cooler. One day I was at the pool and wanted a cup of ice and I was told it was ok and then another day I was told no one was allowed to use the ice at the bar because they may not have enough. Depends on who you speak with. The master bath is so small the door has to be closed to open the closet and definitely only one person can fit in the bathroom, unless someone is in the shower, then two. One resident told me they had the door removed because it is such a PITA, figure it out. The office has been helpful except on a couple of occasions, detailed below. Security is exceptional. They are nice and helpful. We have had some issues and security does address with their limited capacity.
The pool is great and also has a lifeguard when open. Young kids working as lifeguards, but the best has been Lindsey, who actually walks around and attempts to enforce pool rules. Most children behave, but others make up for those or the parents I guess do
The inside bar was open when I moved in and was a bit boring. The cabana is currently open and I do enjoy the food and great drinks. The bar staff is exceptional, Mark the new manager is truly exceptional and does a great job with the menu and prices are good. I do not drink and drive so this works great for me!
The residents in the community are pretty much like the people we knew in grade school or high school, clickish, and some think they own this community rather than rent. Of course this is anywhere with apartment living for the most part. They like to save chairs for hours, when chairs are not available for the people using it. I find this a bit rude. I was told by the lifeguards no rule exists and they do not want to piss off anyone and get in trouble, so one must do what they have to do, which is remove towels and use the empty chairs, except for towel, but that is removed! Sorry, but BS!
I have made some very good friends so really do not care about the rest.
There is a workout facility, but I get enough exercise at my job, so no opinion. Dog park also, but I do not have a dog, so no opinion. Garages available for extra cost and is a nice extra. Storage on each floor, but good luck finding a space.
Actually, this is what stirred my fire to write my comment. Couple of days ago I had a note on my door from someone wanting to know if my things were on their floor. Really, I was told by management my stuff could be put wherever available! Guess this sweet person did not get the memo and also left a number which is not a working number. Probably assumed all area codes are the same. Assumptions? Please understand that I do not monitor storage area, but I guess we have floor monitors and people who do not really care about knowing you, but always ask you where you live???
Finally, bet you thought I would never shut up! The location is great and convenient, people are not the most friendly or welcoming to a new resident, but no worry, cabana and staff are exceptional, hopefully the new manager will ensure the inside bar is enjoyable and the hours are changed, office ok, depending on with whom you speak, great pool if you can get a chair, the rest is for your interpretation and good luck to anyone considering moving to this apartment community. And...I will welcome you for sure! read more
