Figured no where could get me…read morein, especially since I really needed it done as I had to drive to San Antonio in the morning. Tried a couple other places but earliest they could get me take care of was 730am. Went back on Yelp and searched "auto repair" instead of"brakes" and Marez popped up. Called and spoke to Albert who told me he could get me in. Albert and his guys got both my brakes and rotors done in 2 hours! Absolute life savers!

    I broke down in the middle of the name in this small city of Clovis. I tried calling 4 different…read moreshops with no answer or just voicemail. I tried Marez Auto and Albert answered on the 2nd ring. He was super nice as I explained my issue. Water Pump died and started pouring water out on my way from OK to Artesia. I was literally 3 minutes away from his shop and was able to limp over. Albert pressure tested the system and sure enough the water pump was shot. He ordered the water pump and new belt locally right away. Once he got the parts off, he also noticed that the idler pulley was nicked up and not working properly. While waiting for parts he suggested a good place to eat for breakfast/lunch, just a block away and good food. He completed the repair quickly once all the parts were received and I finally made my way back home. Albert is a great mechanic and good person in general. If I'm ever in the area again and need mechanic work, I would not hesitate in taking any vehicle to him for repair. God bless Albert.

As I pulled into town on New Years Eve, I started getting oil warning lights in my vehicle that I had just had service done (including an oil change) a few days prior. I was traveling with my dog and young daughter, and we were due to leave early in the morning on January 1st. When I woke up that morning, I started calling around to see if any auto repair shops might happen to be open on New Years day at 8 am. As you might expect, they were not. When I happened to call Blacklock, I was thrilled when someone answered the phone. Not only where they open, but Joel was super friendly and told me to come on by after I explained the situation. We headed over there and Joel immediately got to work. They ran a diagnostic on the car and found that a bunch of warnings were popping up - all things that I thought had been addressed with my service the prior week back in Austin. He noted that the fee for the diagnostic was going to be $150 before doing it, and I told him to go through with it as I didn't really have much of a choice. Another guy came (owner, perhaps?) and they finished up the diagnostic. The theory was that the place that I had worked with in Texas didn't reset the warnings, but that all was well. Checked the oil to confirm and reset the warnings. I was relieved and grateful for the fact that they were open and welcomed me in on New Years Day, but they weren't done yet. When it came time to head out - they told me not to worry about the diagnostic charge... on the house. I was blown away! Gave a healthy tip as a show of gratitude and then we headed back on our way to Santa Fe. I'm not one to go and write reviews for places, but this one absolutely deserved the 5 star shout out. If they treat others anything like how they treated us - a no brainer recommendation from me. Thanks, gents!

    After I sent in my car to get manual clutch fixed, the car came back with transmission issues…read more Major problem getting from 1st to 2nd gear and grinding to get into 3rd gear. clutch issue resolved which is why Blacklock gets 2 stars. but got my car back with a new problem with transmission when they said they had said the car was good to go on all gears.

    Made an appointment for an oil change. Showed up a few minutes before and then stood in the lobby…read morefor about 5 minutes before a guy came in from another room. No hello's, no warm welcome just a what do you need?. He took my info and keys and not another word from him. So I sat in 1 of 3 hard plastic chairs waiting in I guess what they call a waiting room. About an hour into it he said yours is on the rack so shouldn't be much longer. Not much longer must equate to another hour. This dealership service department is so unprofessional. The employees weren't wearing company shirts and they were wearing shorts, not uniform shorts one was wearing cut off denim shorts. They were answering and talking to customers on speaker phone. I sat there for right at 2 hours waiting to get a simple oil change and heard them complain and make comments about customers the whole time. The young service man, in a Ford uniform, that brought the paperwork and my keys in was the nicest one there. So kudos to him. Would I go back there? Nope!

I'm either throwing a code within 48 hours of having been serviced or the job wasn't done properly resulting in leaking oil or fuel from a fuel filter replacement. You're probably better off taking it to a local mechanic. They literally can't be any worse and at least you're helping local small business.
