I can't recommend Marez Auto enough! Had a brake emergency at 130pm. Figured no where could get me…read morein, especially since I really needed it done as I had to drive to San Antonio in the morning. Tried a couple other places but earliest they could get me take care of was 730am. Went back on Yelp and searched "auto repair" instead of"brakes" and Marez popped up. Called and spoke to Albert who told me he could get me in. Albert and his guys got both my brakes and rotors done in 2 hours! Absolute life savers!

I tried Marez Auto and Albert answered on the 2nd ring. He was super nice as I explained my issue. Water Pump died and started pouring water out on my way from OK to Artesia. I was literally 3 minutes away from his shop and was able to limp over. Albert pressure tested the system and sure enough the water pump was shot. He ordered the water pump and new belt locally right away. Once he got the parts off, he also noticed that the idler pulley was nicked up and not working properly. While waiting for parts he suggested a good place to eat for breakfast/lunch, just a block away and good food. He completed the repair quickly once all the parts were received and I finally made my way back home. Albert is a great mechanic and good person in general. If I'm ever in the area again and need mechanic work, I would not hesitate in taking any vehicle to him for repair. God bless Albert.

Would rate lower if I could. A couple months ago I had taken my car in to get some new parts…read moreinstalled which I had brought myself. After a few days they had called me and let me know a rear main output seal for the transmission I had provided did not fit so they went ahead and purchased the correct one and just added the cost to my bill which was fine. The rear end was leaking so I also asked them to replace the pinion seal & flange on the differential, when they finally called me and told me the car was ready for pickup they also informed me that the flange i had provided did not fit. Instead of letting me know and purchasing the correct part like they did for the transmission, they just put the pinion nut back on called it a day. After having my car for a few days I noticed a couple of things, the rear end leak had been spilling out way more fluid and it had started making a clunking sound from the rear end. I took it back to the shop and told them about the sound and the leak. A couple days later after their "diagnosis" was done and they called me back I was quoted $2300 for new parts and labor, and even though the rear end was the problem it never made it to the quote. I talked to the mechanic and basically he told me that it was all my fault and I must have been beating on the car (the car was being granpa driven because I was breaking the clutch in) and the new clutch was "putting too much stress" on the old parts. I declined their service and took it home until I could get it diagnosed at my job (the ford dealership) and after it got a 2nd and 3rd opinion it became apparent that my differential is a ticking time bomb because the proper procedures (backlash/preload) were never followed. If I had brought the car back I would have been down $3500 and the problem they started in the first place would have never been fixed in the first place. My car is just sitting now because I now have to pay for a new rear end and getting it swapped in and now the car is not safe on the road. Thanks Freddie's!

No big deal I just changed the oil at the truck stop when I realized what happened and called them. I heard the assistant manager over the phone screaming at the "tech" if you can even call them that, asking him "if he could read". I honestly believe that he genuinely wanted to know and I wouldn't be surprised to find out he couldn't read, but hopefully someone at GreaseMonkey is capable of reading this review. I was In Clovis for work and was already an hour away on going home day, I wasn't coming back. The assistant manager assured me when I came back they would refund me or take care of it and I believed him. Fast forward 1 month I'm back working and I'm due for an oil change. When I called them I was informed that it was my fault and they are not responsible for reading what they put in your vechicle. Honestly that's a pretty solid policy considering we still aren't sure if at least one "tech" cant read. Guys like this give real mechanics a bad rap. I hope this review helps someone else avoid dealing with a shop with the combined IQ of a monkey.

The main person who succeeded in flooring me with his integrity is manager Nate. He advised me personally relating to service for my very old car. He didn't charge me for their time. I've never experienced this type of customer service from any automotive company anywhere. He checked my air filter without hesitating or complaining that it's hard to get to, as every other oil change company has. I'll definitely come back.

As I pulled into town on New Years Eve, I started getting oil warning lights in my vehicle that I had just had service done (including an oil change) a few days prior. I was traveling with my dog and young daughter, and we were due to leave early in the morning on January 1st. When I woke up that morning, I started calling around to see if any auto repair shops might happen to be open on New Years day at 8 am. As you might expect, they were not. When I happened to call Blacklock, I was thrilled when someone answered the phone. Not only where they open, but Joel was super friendly and told me to come on by after I explained the situation. We headed over there and Joel immediately got to work. They ran a diagnostic on the car and found that a bunch of warnings were popping up - all things that I thought had been addressed with my service the prior week back in Austin. He noted that the fee for the diagnostic was going to be $150 before doing it, and I told him to go through with it as I didn't really have much of a choice. Another guy came (owner, perhaps?) and they finished up the diagnostic. The theory was that the place that I had worked with in Texas didn't reset the warnings, but that all was well. Checked the oil to confirm and reset the warnings. I was relieved and grateful for the fact that they were open and welcomed me in on New Years Day, but they weren't done yet. When it came time to head out - they told me not to worry about the diagnostic charge... on the house. I was blown away! Gave a healthy tip as a show of gratitude and then we headed back on our way to Santa Fe. I'm not one to go and write reviews for places, but this one absolutely deserved the 5 star shout out. If they treat others anything like how they treated us - a no brainer recommendation from me. Thanks, gents!

Very friendly and professional staff. I brought my car in the morning right after work. Told the…read moreclerks that my brakes were basically grinded to bone and sounded like metal on metal. They were able to take the car in right then, gave me a ride home. And hours later, I called. They picked me up and told me the work done. They replaced one rotor, grinded the other and replaced brake pads. They also fixed a loose hose I had that prevented me from using any windshield wiper fluid. The total price was extremely fair. I usually only take my car to the dealership for maintenance but I'm very glad to have found this shop in Clovis. Def recommend it.

I arrived and a nice garage with a decent waiting room. The staff were helpful and very kind. They told me within 30mins I will be back on the road with a new muffler. Can't thank Larry enough for his help on our cross-country road trip. We started having…read moretransmission trouble and visited his shop. We really thought the trans might finally be a goner. On the spot he took a moment to listen and even come out and do a quick assessment before he set us up for an appt that would've been later in the day. His advice ended up being right... he suggested it (still) might just be our fluid levels, and then taught me more about how the trans works and how much fluid it actually needs. So we filled up, kept our fingers crossed, and he was right! We've since made it all the way back to NJ without a problem. His advice helped so much and so thankful to have someone to trust.
