Last time I went in I brought my friend who was buying my car. We ran the diagnostics computer to see if my vehicle was throwing any codes. During that process when he returned the machine the employees took it upon them selves to tell him my vehicle wasn't worth the money I was asking. Of course he came back to me in shock that they could be so rude? I sold my car but what if that was a make it or break it moment financially? When I called to complain I got more childish behavior with a couple hang ups and condescending behavior.

This morning I realized I already had some. Brought it back but had lost my receipt. I had the card I used to buy it. Autozone's return policy will only issue a gift card and REQUIRES a phone number. You have chosen to make returns difficult for your customers. For this reason alone I will not be back. Now lets talk about Caitlin. Caitlin has a soft voice, muffled under a mask. I asked her a question which she responded to with a very fast, soft answer. While Caitlin may be well-versed in Autozone information, I am not. Further, I am hard of hearing. When I said, "Could you please say that a little louder and a little slower?" Caitlin repeated herself, YELLING the answer with a very odd maniacal shine in her eyes. She was absolutely, overtly patronizing and rude. I am a 40 year old woman. I have moderate hearing loss as a result of viral meningitis I was sick with last year. This makes life difficult. Caitlin's treatment of me was cruel and unnecessary. It was also extremely embarrassing. Caitlin appears to have some special needs herself, and ought to keep in mind that if she continues to speak to people this way, eventually someone is going to bite back.

So I left the store, as I was leaving an auto zone manager was entering, I asked if I could ask him a question, Is auto zones policy allows Employees to tell the customer they just don't want to assist a customer, he stated absolutely not, I told him I was just told by your blue haired boy wonder, he did not want to help me with installing new wipers. The manager profusely apologized and was all over himself to help me, and said he would talk to the store manager, he was just the assistant manager, I bought the blades from him, he installed in like 30seconds, I said there's 80 dollars your store just lost would have lost, had you not assisted me, I know in the scene of auto zones day 80 dollars is nothing, but it's 80 dollars you would not have had. I said you know iam sure it's hard to get people to work for you, but that attitude is not acceptable, if he drives off me, how many more has he disrespected to the point that O'Reilly, and car quest is just down the street.

My check engine light came on after a couple months and Honda told me it was the exhaust mods and I needed to get it tuned at a shop. My first visit to VIP, they charged me nothing, explained the part giving me the problem, and recommended asking Honda to replace it with the factory part since they essentially sold me a non street legal car. Needless to say this didn't happen for free! I ended up coming back to VIP, they installed a cheat piece for the O2 sensor and also tuned the car. Unfortunately while they were in the computer tuning, it freaked out and triggered the entire Honda sensing system (cruise control, lane departure mitigation, etc) to stop working. I had to get this reset at a Honda dealership, along with a new check engine light that came on. But the Honda sensing lights never came back on, and I had VIP install another cheater piece for the check engine code. Since then my car has been perfect with no check engine lights. I was on a road trip during that time and Nicole was emailing me the whole time exchanging info and ideas. I really respect Nicole and the other VIP employees. If I had to be honest, sometimes I was double booked or made to wait longer than I expected. But this didn't bother me too much at what I knew was a small business and was worth it for the help I received. The owner is a former Honda dealership tech and I guarantee they are the best resource for Honda racing/performance around. Even though I'm a rare customer who wants my car to be LESS exciting, I will come back to them with any future performance issues or questions.

I wanted to look at a couple other minor repairs and frankly, to shop potential mods for my truck (something that didn't happen as the staff were so horrible). So I walked in with some expectations: 1. To be greeted in a friendly manner 2. To feel that my business mattered (I value the money I earn I had hoped a sales person would also value the money I am willing to spend). 3. To see a variety of products (these people do have several products but they aren't marked or priced well and with no serious sales staff it's very hard to navigate). 4. To have knowledgeable staff as this is purported to be a LEER dealer. 5. I also hoped they would have parts but this is not always realistic with canopies. What did I get? Well, none of what I had hoped for. and I mean NONE. They wanted to charge me to even talk about the issue with the canopy. $60 bucks. When a tech walked over the "sales" person told them "don't even look at it" when the tech said "well, I walked all the way over here , you don't want me to even look at it?" the sales person said a definitive "NO!". but let me set the stage mid day, empty parking lot, empty bays, empty store, multiple staff milling around and me, the only walk in. What could they have done? They could have said, Hello welcome in, how can we help you? They could have said to the tech, yes we aren't busy go ahead and take a peek. They could have said, besides the issue with the canopy is they anything else you'd like to see on your truck? In short they could have simply treated me like a person willing to spend money in their business. So of course I do a couple things I can do, I DO NOT SPEND MONEY HERE!, I contact LEER and question their choice to have this be their listed dealer, and I write a few reviews to save other the trouble. Notable that I most often write reviews when I am not happy about a business because to me, I dont want anything crazy. I just want reasonable service when I'm willing to spend a lot of money. I noticed they have other negative reviews and frankly they ring true. This place kinda Sucks! So please take note and AVOID this place, it's really not worth your time. Instead go to LEER TRUCK ACCESSORIES in Oregon City. Good businesses are notable by the amount of people in the store, the experience they offer, and the walk away feeling which is something these people fail at.
