These folks are no help AT ALL. We went there to get a battery charged and while they weren't busy, they said it would be hours for help. I will never go there again. read more

So this is my neighborhood Autozone and unfortunately I find that the employees have next to zero knowledge about the products they are selling or about cars in general. Last time I went in I brought my friend who was buying my car. We ran the diagnostics computer to see if my vehicle was throwing any codes. During that process when he returned the machine the employees took it upon them selves to tell him my vehicle wasn't worth the money I was asking. Of course he came back to me in shock that they could be so rude? I sold my car but what if that was a make it or break it moment financially? When I called to complain I got more childish behavior with a couple hang ups and condescending behavior. read more

Have had good service here in the past. Two issues with my experience today: your return policy is inflexible and greedy. I bought some upholstery cleaner yesterday. This morning I realized I already had some. Brought it back but had lost my receipt. I had the card I used to buy it. Autozone's return policy will only issue a gift card and REQUIRES a phone number. You have chosen to make returns difficult for your customers. For this reason alone I will not be back. Now lets talk about Caitlin. Caitlin has a soft voice, muffled under a mask. I asked her a question which she responded to with a very fast, soft answer. While Caitlin may be well-versed in Autozone information, I am not. Further, I am hard of hearing. When I said, "Could you please say that a little louder and a little slower?" Caitlin repeated herself, YELLING the answer with a very odd maniacal shine in her eyes. She was absolutely, overtly patronizing and rude. I am a 40 year old woman. I have moderate hearing loss as a result of viral meningitis I was sick with last year. This makes life difficult. Caitlin's treatment of me was cruel and unnecessary. It was also extremely embarrassing. Caitlin appears to have some special needs herself, and ought to keep in mind that if she continues to speak to people this way, eventually someone is going to bite back. read more

Needed to change a couple of light bulbs on my Smart car. Everyone was very helpful. Special shout out to Rob who came out to the parking lot to assist with fitting the bulbs. These guys go above and beyond. read more

First time here at this location . We were able to buy what we were looking for - bulb replacements . The staff who was handling the transaction was not very helpful and kept saying that they don't have any of the kind we wanted ,but another gentleman came in later and was able to resolve the issue and provide the right configuration .I would say not the best customer service, but well stocked . There is parking out front and also behind the store. read more

Ok .... didn't have what I was looking for and weren't very helpful. Go to O'Reilly's on Sandy instead. read more

Tried to stop in and get a bracket for my license plate. I waited in line as customers came and went without masks on. There is no way to get proper space from people as the line is right by the door. There are signs that require masks but it is not being enforced. It's dangerous that they are allowing this to happen. The management should support the floor workers better. read more

Came here with some battery problems and they replaced mine quickly and easily. I was helped by Anthony who was super nice and knowledgable! Thanks, Anthony! read more

I brought in a dead car battery to be charged. I was told it would take 2-3 hours. I spent two hours wandering around killing time. Came back to find out they had never put the battery on the charger. They told me they would put it on the "lightning" charger and that would take 30 minutes. During the wait I asked for a new battery for my key fob. The employee changed it for me, but in doing so flipped all the buttons. Now the unlock label is in the lock button and vice versa. Got the battery back, brought it home, and it wasn't charged enough to start the car. Horrible experience. I wish I had gone anywhere else. read more

Helpful, friendly staff member found the right windshield wipers for my car, and then offered to replace them for me, even in the rain! I'm thankful for that help and support! read more

I had my check engine light come on in a very busy time in my life. A nice brunette man read my check engine light and immediately told me what was causing it. He even printed out a sheet of the issue for me and politely declined payment stating that it was a free service they offer. His kindness and patience were much appreciated. He is a true customer service expert. I would recommend this auto zone to all my friends! read more

I previously went to o'riley (sp?) on MLK and was not impressed. While I was there, I called auto zone and David was so friendly. I needed his help with warranty info and he went above and beyond to find my previous purchase (even though I was accidentally giving him the wrong information). When I got to auto zone he continued to be helpful and friendly. The other customers were also all being helped and seemed satisfied. Go here! Not o'reiley read more

I needed to replace my headlights bulb. Not only did I get a great price, they came outside and replaced it for me at no additional charge. Excellent service! read more

This place is awesome! I don't know much about cars. I have had a few things that I have needed help with and the staff here is super nice and gives you price options for what you want. They aren't trying to make any extra money by selling you the top brands or make you get something that you don't need. They don't pressure you and they are very helpful if you need help replacing small things like windshield wipers. I loved this because not to sound like a sissy but I don't know Jack about anything to do with cars. I had my battery replaced here as well and they took my old battery and gave me money back! The parking lot and store entry is always kept clean. The place looks like it is brand new even though they have been there a while now. The workers seem to enjoy their job and like to help you out. It isn't just the product choices....its the service that will keep me coming back. Go get in the zone! read more

I've shopped here for the past 5 years and have had great service every time. Helpful but not overly in-your-face pushing certain products or opinions on me. The manager Debbie was super helpful this morning with a battery on my truck, so i figured I'd finally leave a review. read more

I shop here quite a bit. The employees will help you install some parts on your car which is a plus. Today the extremely pleasant and knowledgeable Ember helped me select some windshield wiper blades. She didn't steer me to the most expensive ones, but something in the middle price range which she had knowledge of. They worked brilliantly and I was very happy with the customer service as well. Highly recommended. read more

Thanks David!!! He made our day, we were struggling hard with our headlights and he saved the day!

I have to say, I've never been compelled to write a review or critique anyone until now. Store itself was fine. This is completely a customer service review. So long story short, the battery in my car needed charging, and I also needed a new terminal to replace the one which connected the battery wire to the alternator. I took pictures, and had to walk my battery a mile to this store, which was no easy task. The worse was walking into this store, and looking at all these associates in bad moods. You quickly got the impression that they didn't want to help you as SOON as you walk in the store. It was like one of those "I don't want to help you, but I will because I have to" type things. Just the same, I walk up. they put my battery on the charger, but then - when I showed them pictures of the terminal I was missing - the first associate looked it up as if it was very dependent on the vehicle, and couldn't find it. It took me multiple tries to get him to finally show me where the terminals were. I told them in the beginning that it came from the alternator. I don't know anything about terminals. I don't know if there are certain ones that go to different parts in the vehicle, and aren't for alternators for example. I walk up to the second associate - who apparently knows this store in and out, and knows all about vehicle parts, etc - who let's me purchase a terminal that really goes to the stereo system, and was more expensive. Didn't have the decency to just tell me "hey this isn't going to fit on your alternator" or, better yet "let me -show- you what you need for it." That was the really big kicker for me. They were very reluctant to actually "help" me. I buy the item, walk my happy self back to the car - which was a mile away - to find out this doesn't even work for the alternator. Then, I get back there to return the item, and buy a terminal that actually works, and the Customer Service Rep. is like "yeah, the one you bought doesn't work for an alternator anyways." Like why would you let me buy it, knowing full well what I was buying it for, and then not give me that kind of heads up BEFORE I purchase the item? And then I ask him if they had the cover, the little rubbery cover that protects the wire, and he quickly said,"no we don't have it. I know what you're talking about, and we don't have it." Dude was VERY short with me, as if I stole his favorite chocolate when he was a baby or something. Which was kind of the point. I've never been to this store before. I don't know these people from Adam. I might have been a bit frustrated when walking in there, but so what? For good or for worse, you CHOSE to work here. I can never understand why people CHOOSE to work somewhere and then have stank attitudes when you're there. If you're not happy with where you are then go find your bliss. I worked customer service for 15 years. You, as the rep, are the single, most important, key aspect of the store. Even if a customer can't find what they're looking for there, the number one thing they'll remember most is how they were treated. Sorry to say, I was not treated as a customer. It was more like they just wanted to get rid of me as soon as possible. I'm pretty easy-going in stores. Not very difficult at all. Maybe a little confused when I'm looking for an item I know nothing about, but I walked into an AUTO PARTS STORE! Just pisses me off to no end. The customer service reps. make the store. That's rule of thumb in ANY customer service job. Shape up, or ship out. Just because you're miserable where you are, doesn't mean you get to spread that misery unto everyone else. read more

I came in today because my Jeep was leaking green fluid....first off I know nothing about cars and was nervous it was something serious. Enrique and Stuart were so so sweet and gave me great advice on how to take care of it and even helped me tighten the hose that was leaking to get me through the weekend until I have a day off to go to a mechanic. Absolutely amazing customer service. They completely saved me :) read more

Autozone Buyer beware: the return policy printed on receipts and available online are not complete. If you use an Auto Zone gift card for any part of your purchase even if the majority of the balance due was paid with debit/credit/cash the hidden "policy" is to refund to a gift card. I spoke with a young man on the phone at the 1710 SE 82nd Ave (Portland, OR) location who confirmed that the company policy is always to keep money in store (gift card) versus a return of funds "out of their pocket". For a company who's motto is "Autozoners always put customers first!" this unpublished policy is in direct conflict. This unspoken policy does not put customers first - perhaps there should be an addendum to the motto saying "unless we can find a loophole to put our profits first" to make it more accurate. Ty (the district manager) was very condescending in my phone call with him. For someone with a self proclaimed 28 years of customer "service" I would expect at least some empathy. The autozone employees did not fulfill their obligation to explain the refund policy. It would have taken 2 minutes and would have provided us as the customer to make an informed decision to spend all our gift card vs being stuck with money to an establishment that has left a very negative impression. read more

I love this Auto Zone location!!! The staff is knowledgeable, nice and very friendly!!! Highly recommended to everyone!!!

We went in for chains on our way back to Colorado (just in case) . I've driven in snow, but never needed chains before. The guys at the counter were really helpful and spent the time to show me how to put them on. They didn't rush me when I asked to go over some of it again so that I felt sure I could do it... And also have some helpful tips based on their experiences putting on chains. read more

This place gives the worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. I discovered a price discrepancy today and was met with a very lackadaisical response. I went back into this location later in the day for a wiper for my rear window and found a gentleman on the phone at the front desk, who completely ignored me for a good minute. A second man, let's call him "Edgar" approached the counter and asked if I needed help. He waved me towards the counter and after I took one step he picked up a ringing telephone. I've worked retail long enough to know that the customer in front of you is your top priority. I've had bad customer service from this particular fellow before, so I was almost expecting this sort of poor performance today. Will I buy more automotive products from this location? Probably, yes. Would i recommend this location to anyone? Absolutely not. If this place shut down and another mom and pop auto shop opened up here I would be really happy. read more

Worst customer service ever. I will never purchase anything at an autozone store again. I asked an employee for help and guidance and was completely ignored by him because he was on break. It's understandable he was on break but he could have at least directed me to another person. Instead I was ignored as if I was not important to him. When I asked to speak to a manager, the girl with all the tattoos looked at me sideways as if asking to speak To a manager was not allowed in her store. I got incredibly bad service the whole time and was treated like shit. I am so irritated with people like the people who work for autozone, who are not respectable and not able to respect the customer. Never coming back again, never will I ever shop at autozone! I hope corporate sends somebody to this store specifically and straightens things out! read more

I visited recently looking for a chip repair kit. I knew I was in the general location. A cashier walked past me and started rifling in the back of the store. I waited as he banged stuff around, When he emerged from the curtain, I confronted him. He pointed at an item and walked away. I looked and looked after about ten minutes of scouring the shelf I came across a bare spot where the repair kit had been located. They were sold out. A friend of mine went there and waited in line about ten minutes while the clerks were talking. No hello or eye contact. He just left. It's creepy. read more

My car was making horrific sounds and I was worried I would have to take it to a mechanic. Stopped by AutoZone first and asked the kind sir, Chad, to take a listen to see if he could figure out what was wrong. Quick, easy, affordable, and enjoyable experience 10/10, go Chad! read more

Employee insisted on replacing a fuse for me (put it in the wrong socket), then told me I had electrical problems and referred me to a shop on NE Fremont and 82nd who told me they fixed my electrical problem (pretty positive it was replacing the right fuse) and charged me $90. The fuse blew again, I came back to Auto Zone and was just stared at and treated like an idiot as I tried to figure out what could have happened, and was told AGAIN that my car had an electrical problem. I went back out, checked the fuse diagram, and determined that the ENTIRE problem was the dude originally replacing the wrong fuse. $90 later and after likely being ripped off by their suggested shop. THEN, I called the Auto Zone manager to complain about being referred to this place, and all he offered me was "I'm sorry, I'll talk to my employees, have a great day!" Isn't there a more formal complaint process, or shouldn't he care who it was that even replaced the fuse and made the recommendation? Or give me a discount or something? I feel like this all happened because the Auto Zone staff assumed a woman couldn't replace her own fuse and then took no responsibility and acted like it was just bad luck and they couldn't do anything to help. Super pissed. Women beware. read more
