HonorHealth...Saw him ( Hamilton) today. I needed a script filled - called for a refill, he asked for me to come in and give blood work. I went there today. Had our visit. I have all my records, from all of my Dr's shared after each Dr's visit. Hamilton has all of my records from all of the other Dr's. After our meeting he leaves and I was waiting for the blood to be taken. I slid the door and he is at a desk w/ clerical's. I asked how often does he want blood work. He said 6 months. Mayo had sent him my blood work from 3 months ago. I asked why did I have to come in and see him when he had the Mayo results. Hamilton stated that there were results missing from the Mayo blood work. I ask him to give me the items that were missing. He gave me a list of "all" the results he required. I called Mayo and all the results which he had asked for, were on the Mayo results and he saw them on his lap top. Conclusion is: Hamilton does not look at your chart before you are asked to make an appt. He does not look @ your chart before you are seated in his office for the appt. His reply was that Mayo's results were not complete and since I Get my labs @ Mayo -- that is where I should go. He obviously did not look at my file before hand or he would have seen that I had a blood work done 90 days ago. He made it clear that I only needed blood work every 6 months. After he gave me a list of blood results he required / I called Mayo and they ( Mayo) expressed, Hamilton had the list on his lap-top. He did say, that he saw them. Probably during todays appt. Hamilton asked if I had had a second pneumonia shot. I was not sure, but his records should show my results and shots. All of my Dr's share my files. I called my pulmonary specialist. She send her file months ago to Hamilton and it indicated that she had given me a pneumonia shot 4 months prior. I guess Hamilton does not look @ your files and charts / other then his office visit info. The other Dr's finding mean nothing here. I want and need a proactive and concerned Dr.....If I was not proactive w/ my health in the past, my cancer would still be in me. Do not assume. C. A.
