Pleasant staff who are helpful and friendly. Dr Fontius is low key and easy to talk to. I am in for my yearly women's wellness visit. We went through standard questions, updates on medications, any health changes and requests for new refills for the year. Masks are required in the facility but not in her office. After lots of emails and phone calls for paperwork prior to the appointment (including email health history with not acknowledgement of HIPPA (I did not send), there was NO mention that COVID-19 protocols were not followed in the office. When I arrived at the office for my first visit (new patient), I was surprised to see the receptionist, other patient and doctor with NO mask. When I asked the receptionist about a mask upon entering, she said she tries to keep her distance. I did, in fact, have to hand her my copay so clearly we were well within the recommended distancing. I was quickly put in a room and the doctor arrived with no mask. When I asked, she said "we don't see sick people here" and that I could request she get a mask or leave. At first I requested that she get a mask but, immediately decided to leave. I have never heard of a doctor's office that doesn't see sick people AND, people can be asymptomatic and spread illness. But apparently that doesn't happen here. If this office wants to reject science, recommended guidelines (including the AMA) and have complete disregard for their patients (and others) well being, it is the right fit for me. I will leave it up to the AMA and compliance teams. At a minimum, they should make it clear, on the phone AND on their website, that they do NOT believe in masks, have NO processes in the office to comply with any COVID-19 safety recommendations, and they "don't see sick people" (according to the doctor). read more

I have been seeing Dr. Fontius for many years and always feel like I am getting the best care. From Nancy and Debbie to Dr. Fontius this practice cares about you. The doctor will spend time listening to your concerns or questions and I NEVER feel rushed. This office is a breath of fresh air. I've been seeing Dr. McMahon, now Fontius, for quite a few years. She's always been kind, remembers me, and is friendly. She takes great care of my health. The two reasons I really love going here: 1. You never have to sit in the waiting room too long. I think it is totally unacceptable when DRs offices make you sit there for 30-40 minutes. That never happens here. 2. The receptionist is SO NICE. 90% of all healthcare receptionists are horrible with major attitude and this woman is very nice. read more

Dr. fontius and the affiliates in her office went absolutely above and beyond today for me when i called in 50 minutes prior for an emergency visit for a severe burn on my hand. She is a great family practice doctor. Whenever I needed to get in to see her, they always worked me in that day...which in my experience is almost unheard of with most practices in Phoenix. She is very nice and easy to talk to. She listens to what you have to say and I never felt like I was being rushed. Love the doc and her practice! Been a patient since she opened, and I still receive great care. Dr, Fontius is an excellent diagnostician, and has always nailed my condition before tests even confirm her suspicions. She never makes you wait more than 5 minutes, and the staff is just super - very friendly and accommodating. To the woman who complained the doctor refers you to a specialist when required. Um, ya?! This is what gp's do...sounds like she was looking for a country doctor who does it all, including treating your animals on the same house call. When you have a condition that requires further investigation and testing, you WANT to see a specialist, so she is correct to do so. Geesh. read more

I've been going to Dr. McMahon, now Dr. Fontius, for a couple of years now mostly just for a wellness checkup. I called yesterday to make an appointment for a wellness checkup and was asked what kind of visit would I be requiring. I said a wellness checkup for a physical, blood work and prescriptions that I need. I was told that the insurance company's don't do that anymore and that I would have to make separate appointments for what I needed. I called my insurance company, Blue Cross Blue Shield and was advised that they do not require separate visits and that is up to the individual Dr. Obviously Dr. Fontius is scamming her patients. First off, I can't afford the time to go back for extra visits and I can't afford the copayments. So I say to you Dr. Jennifer Fontius, think things over because you're going to lose your practice. Sorry that I had to do this, I'm not one for slamming people but this time I just think this is wrong. Remember your oath!!! read more

I went to Jennifer Mcmahon now Fontius for a few years as well as taking my elderly mother. This is a doctor that will never make a decision on your health. She will refer you to a gynecologist, a neurologist. If your blood pressure is high she will not prescribe medication. My mom's hospice doctor diagnosed me and said I should be on meds. After confronting her with this, Jennifer gave me a prescription and wouldn't give me refills unless I completely insisted without monthly visits. If a problem on a pap smear she will refer you to a gynecologist. On an annual exam she will only discuss a pap smear and make a mammogram appointment. I consider her to be a very poor doctor. I have since changed doctors for my mother and myself and couldn't be more thrilled. My current doctor isn't greedy. Spent 2 1/2 hours on annual exam and gave me a year supply of prescriptions of High Pressure Medication. My mom's current doctor makes decisions and has prescribed appropriate medication. Overall, doctors are all different and I would not recommend this one. Very Happy with mine and my mom's new competent doctors. I would not recommend Jennifer McMahon (Fontius). read more
