I was very excited to see how they served DiRusso's Italian sausage, so much so I stopped as soon as I read the sign. Walked out under $6 and was pleasantly surprised! Sausage with peppers and onions and it tastes as great as I hoped. They added cheese for me but it was yellow, so some sort of American or cheddar. Used to love this place. Picked up two of the specials, with everything, as my receipt said, drove the half-hour to my house, just to find out there were no onions. Called and was asked to bring them back or call the next day and talk to the manager. Manager told me they could remake them (again, the next day) or refund my money if I brought EVERYTHING back. No apology or offer of a discount on a future order. My husband just ate them as is, which I didn't want, so no dinner for me that night, $27 dollars later. I could see the mistake of putting onions on when someone didn't want them, but the "with everything" order is probably what they're used to getting. I have been eating hamburger station hamburgers long since it was Thackers over by Goodyear. I remember the dishwasher ending up with the business after a double tragedy with the husband and wife he worked for. All is good except today they seem to miss an important step as the burgers are cooking. They usually would line up the buns and just befor placing the burger they would dip the buns in the gease to add flavor. May not be the healthiest but it adds a ton of flavor to the little burger. Maybe go a smidge lighter with the onions. I like going there but miss the old time flavor. Plus if the buns are a little dry the grease fixes that to. read more

There used to be a few more of these places. I think there's only two left now. This place is one of those instant memory triggers. The one that was by Akron U was open way later than it should have been. Lots of bad decisions are made at 2 am. Hamburger station was one of those bad decisions. They have a drive through but I wouldn't recommend putting these burgers in your car unless you enjoy the smell of onions. The aroma will stay with your upholstery for days. There is more onion than burger in these sandwiches. For me this is a once every several years spot. read more

The good old days. My dad used to take my brother and I to Hamburger Station when we were kids and bidding my grandparents. Going here takes me back to those good old days. Those are good memories. I can remember going into the place eating our meal sitting on the horse saddle seats. I thought that was the best thing. The burgers are almost as good. Actually, they're really good if you like the White Castle type of burger. When I go I just get the Speed Pack. Two burgers, fries, and a drink. The buns aren't as good as Hawaiian rolls but the come close. The combination of onions, mustard, pickles and the meat is magic to me which is probably why my memory of going here with my brother and dad states in my mind. The fries are thin cut fries. I can't describe the fries other than staying they are unique. Then there is the super magical and delicious smell of the food that comes from the box which is rich and flavorful and makes you want to eat contents on your way home. (I visited during the COVID-19 pandemic and only the drive thru was open). If you're passing by a Hamburger Station and are feeling hunger stop by. You won't be disappointed. read more

I've been here before, and they tend to go very heavily on the onions and sauce on their gyros. We specifically asked that they go light on the onions and sauce. What we got was a soggy mess. I was door dashing and had an order for here, smelled fantastic. So after my dash I came back to grab some hamburgers. If I had wanted 10 pounds of ice I could have bought that for about a buck across the street. Knock it off with the ice rip-off - and for $2.80 no less! When a customer orders a large lemonade (did I mention it costs $2.80 ?), give him lemonade with light ice! The assumption should always be that the customer expects a lot of lemonade and a little ice. Why do you assume the opposite?. Makes no sense to me. If on the rare occasion a customer wants 10 pounds of ice in that vat-cup, then make 10# of ice a line item on the menu. I live out of town. I love me some Hamburger station. My wife thinks their burgers are made of rat meat, and their primary seasoning appears to be grease. But, boy are they tasty! The burgers are slider sized and they use a thin patty similar to most fast food places. Their burgers are most similar to White Castle (minus the slime and bad taste at WC). Hamburger Station uses real potatoes that they cut (leaving the skin on) on site and then fry for their fries. They also have what appears to be relatively fresh lemonade. I've never actually tried anything else on the menu besides what I describe above. But, who needs variety when I can order a Speed Pack? It seems like there are less and less locations each year. So, get your fix in while you can. Just make sure you have toilet access for a few hours afterwards! read more

Every Saturday at the Ellet Ohio Hamburger Station management reserves at table for 3 people. And every time someone sits there the get told to move. Today a 90 year old man who is there everyday had nowhere to sit and he sat at that table, was asked to move and he left. Then another young couple was told the same thing. This is nonsense you are losing paying customers who come there more than once a week. I asked almost everyone in there what they thought and it upset them that this is happening. 30 yrs off and on I worked there. I was the assistant manager for the last 7yrs or so. I loved my job I went to work never called off did my job to the best of my ability. 5 weeks ago I ended up finishing my shift and didn't go back the next day. Things were getting so bad internally that I just snapped. I'm a happy person and for me to snap it was bad. Not even a phone call from the owner to see what happened.the manager filled his ears with bs and he never bothered to call and talk to me. Waking up early for breakfast was something that I always dreamed of doing in high school, but it never happened. The western motif, garnished with potato stacks all over the restaurant, reminds us that this is a land of free men and we love fresh cut french fries. The tables are loaded with condiments and dousing your freshly fried potatoes with vinegar is to be expected. Heading here with my old high school sweety was a regular treat.
