I've been here for a few years; I love my dental hygienist. I had a lot of filling here, which were so so, there always something like sensitive sensation or uneven filling which caught my floss that I had to come back and ask to fix it. Doctor seems always rushing. Recently they told me I need crown for one of my tooth. For all I know, Dr. Hamamoto is great, but you need to get past the office manager first. Here's what you don't do. You don't ask a patient about their medical trauma and ignore it. You don't send forms to be completed before the visit and then accost the patient for completing them. And you don't lie within 10 minutes of meeting someone and expect them to stay. I showed up on time. I filled out all the forms and talked with the tech/doctor. Margie comes over and says, "You're early." "Uh, I'm here on time." "Well, we didn't expect you to have the forms filled out. So right now, you need to stay here and relax." She pulled my tech away, who then sheepishly came back. "Did Margie say I was early?" "Well, you're not early, but..." "Is there a patient ahead of me?" "Um. Yes." "So you overbooked?" "Well, your paperwork wasn't supposed to be done, and..." She said it would be 20 minutes, but the patient ahead of me hadn't even been seated. I left. If your practice is comfortable lying within 10 minutes of meeting me while shifting the blame for overbooking, there is no way you're touching me. She has thoughts about when appointments start and how career longevity stacks up against unprofessional conduct: Sarah I have read your email and I'm sorry about the confusion. The office always schedules the new patient to check in upfront 1/2 hour with front office staff . Your check in time was 11 am at 11:30 one of the assistants should bring you back in the clinical area to start Your exam, x rays, photo's. checking teeth and gum assessment. Yes ,you were in on time for your check in at 11 am and you were very efficient with your paperwork done. We brought you back before 11:30 which is why I mention that we would be a little longer before we could Start the exam process. I'm sorry if this wasn't conveyed to you on the initial phone conversation about check in Time and when we actually bring you back. We would never over book a patients appointment . We really want to be able to give you and all our patients equality time and earn the patients trust. If you felt that you were "accosted" regarding filling out your paperwork I would like to know what happen so I can address the employee. We always want to treat people with respect . As too the medical trauma that you were mentioning it is of great importants that we take into consideration with the patients medical history before we ever proceed with any treatment on a patient. Lastly I would like to address the "lying within 10 minutes of minutes of meeting me" comment. I believe there was a miscommunication. WE are here to help patients to improve there equality of health which we take very serious. We are and have always been very transparent with all patients and will continue to be so. I am very sorry that your appointment was not the best experience and that you were not able to stay for your appointment today. Great dentist. The doctor and her staff are wonderful at educating patients regarding their home care and preventing little problems from becoming big problems. For example, They're getting a crown put in before any pain arises. I would have given this practice 5 stars but, there is something that bothers me. And, that is... they overdo it on the reminders. Three text messages to remind me (yes THREE) about my appointment. At least one email too. It's irritating! I opted out of all the reminders. I, instead, put the appointment in the calendar on my IPhone. I set a reminder one day before. One reminder is sufficient. read more

She was told by this dentist that she needed a crown replacement and potentially a root canal (which she has never needed) and come every 3 months. She went for a second opinion just a couple days later and her new xrays were fine and that dentist said everything looked great and come back in 6 months. Hmmmm... EEEEEK! I had NO IDEA that when this business changed hands that my review would be attached to the new Dentist. We saw her exactly ONCE. She was rude and didn't want to do the work that the previous dentists had done there. She didn't honor our previous payment arrangements (which were on time and as agreed with the prior owner) and insisted on being paid the balance due in full, immediately, no negotiating. We didn't even get 30 days to respond before we received a letter from a collections agency, which was also unwilling to work with us until their legal department got involved, and THEY finally agreed to let us break it into some somewhat manageable chunks. What REALLY ticked me off is that somehow when the business was sold to this person, MY RECORDS somehow became HER PROPERTY, and now that I want to take my business elsewhere, she won't release my records! This is a top notch business. I see Dr. Bressler and he knows his stuff. The dental care is excellent, organized, and efficient. The staff is just incredibly on top of things. I judge a dentist's practice by how they handle dental emergencies because dental pain always seems to occur when the office isn't open and you are in a LOT of pain. I had a dental emergency last Saturday night. I called at 7:30 pm in agony with an infected molar and left a message. I didn't expect to hear from anyone until Sunday or Monday. Ten minutes later, the phone rang and it was Jenny, the Office Manager, calling me while on vacation in San Fransisco! That's customer service. She called in meds for me in the moment she hung up and they were already filling the prescription when I got to the pharmacy. My pain was gone and I could get to sleep. I was incredibly grateful for her efficiency and organization. I came to the office Monday morning and a couple times this week and Dr. Bressler, the dental staff, and Jenny have been so attentive to my needs and treated me like I was their only patient. Jenny spent a lot of time helping me figure out the best options that would not require selling my soul to pay for it. They spend time helping you understand exactly what you need and how you can pay. I believe that the dental insurance system in our country is outdated and ridiculous. It's painful to pay so much for dental care and I hate it but dealing with warm and caring people makes it much less painful. I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for excellent care. The staff is super friendly and knowledgable. Dr Hamamoto is very understanding and one of her priorities is to help you understand the procedure and putting your mind at ease. I've gone there several times for cleaning and today I went there for two fillings. During my of my cleaning appointments I had my two month old with me and the staff and Dr. Hamamoto were helpful and understanding if I needed to stop and take care of my little one. Today that I had the two fillings done, it was like watching a well synchronized orchestra. They were fast and efficient and I expedience no pain. I really liked TLC Dental and in fact was in the process of referring a couple of friends, because they were so fantastic. I even will go as far as to dismiss the fact that they numbed me on the wrong side of my mouth after already being tortured by some nurse who came at me with a needle and no bedside manner. The worse part about the business and Nicole H clearly agrees, is that if you make a payment plan they then go after for the full amount and stop sending any kind of statement, immediately turning it over to collections. It's no wonder people don't go to the dentist, and no wonder we are in the situation we are with healthcare. GREED GREED GREED!!!! A simple call would have solved everything and MS. This place was an Awful experience. I went to have work done and paid amount I was quoted. Months later I'm told I owe a ton more and they are sending me threatening emails. The front office staff was polite and knowledgeable. The dental work seemed fine. As previously stated, payment was demanded as soon as the work was done. We thought we could make payments, so it was a huge hit on the bank account. I later asked for a copy of our account, and found we had a credit of $20.00 and asked for a refund. I asked a couple times, but never did receive it! If they expect payment at time of service, I expect a prompt refund! I will NOT be using this dentist again. read more

I will never go back here. Was a patient in 2009, they insisted I had to have all of my older fillings replaced (8 total) even though I did not have any issues. I started the process and got four of them fixed as each one cost me $140. Subsequently found my childhood dentist and started going back to him (not even two years later) and I have to get all of the fillings they replaced redone AGAIN because there is more decay, leekage, and they are chipping. The entire time I went there I think I may have met the dentist once. They hygentist did all of the work. Don't go here if you want to keep all of your teeth in your mouth. read more

They don't get a star. They have not carried on the reputation of TLD Dental. They are crooks, especially Hamamoto, her staff is very wishy washy. What they tell you upfront is never aligned with after work is completed. They did bogus work on my kid's teeth and demanded high cost after telling me insurance covered. I started seeing Dr. Hamamoto within the past couple months and I am very happy with my experiences. All of the staff have been very friendly, they know me by name, make sure each visit is a good one and that I'm comfortable and at ease. They put great care into how your teeth look, and really emphasize quality. In one case, the lab didn't get my crown right, and they didn't want to set it as it looked wrong in my mouth. The office Manager (thank you Margie) got on the phone right away and was very clear what she expected them to do to make it right and by when. I would like to suggest you to please do not visit to TLC Dental, they are very rude and cheater in terms of money and services are not up to the mark, i would be like to share my past experience, Last year i visited to TLC Dental and they did some initial check up and asked for Root Planing When i asked for Fee/money , they clearly said that you need to pay $397 and i will get $1875 from Insurance so i agreed for that. But during Root planning i don know what they did i teeth start paining (It is year now but still i am facing some issue in teeth, before root planning my teeth was absolutely perfect..... One more thing happen when i received a letter from TLC Dental saying account due is $81.20 after 1 year Even when i called and explain the things they were not able to understand :( :( and they were very rude on call... read more

Dr. Hamamoto is definitely a wonderful dentist who is passionate about her job. It is very rare to see a dentist as young as her running a practice and I feel that she does an excellent job despite her age. I was a bit skeptical about the going to her for dental work after reading some of the negative reviews, however, my experience was only positive. It seems that the people who wrote the negative reviews were unhappy that Dr. Hamamoto does things a bit differently from how the previous owner did. read more

I'm not impressed with the quality of the work. It is likely there are good dentists at this location, but they have hygenists do as much of the work as possible, and the results were not good in our case. From the business end I was happy - they did admit there was a problem and paid to have another dentist fix it, but there was a lot of extra time spent to get this done, paper work, conversations, etc. A lot of pain and suffering that was not necessary had the job been done right in the first place. After moving, I was in high hopes of going here. I felt that Dr. Hamamoto was stuck up and she only expressed "fake" concern. Something just didn't feel right. She treats her employees awful. As well. I had some tooth sensitivity and was not satisfied with my treatment at all. I care about my teeth, I'm no dental expert but didn't like the dentist and over all treatment and care during my exam and fillings were under satisfactory and I still have horrible sensitivity even more than before she had filled my teeth! I also left feeling uncomfortable, degraded for my non perfect teeth, and over-diagnosed. Not reccomended, don't trust the high previous reviews anymore. read more
